YG said that a lot of artists were preparing to comeback soon and not just one, right after he released the teaser with the 5 highlighted artists. Why would he highlight them if he didn't want people to assume their debut will happen soon? Let's not forget that the last time he talked about them, he said they'd debut in the summer. The only thing that would crush everything is that fucking PSY album. He could delay them until september, but BIGBANG is having a comeback in the fall so idk. There's also the YG Family Concert that might happen around august so they'd have to debut before it. Anyways, it's still YG so everything could just not happen, as usual, but I prefer to keep the faith. They're also planning new single for Hi during the fall. KSY was working with the producers, probably the next, since the preparations to his debut started from january till now... Well, A Yeon debuted in September and Jimin in October (season 1 was ended on April 29 and contestants signed in the end of May). I can't see Akdong taking too long, they are pretty much Busker Busker of this year with Roy Kim. The group has been preparing for a long time at YG – their debut is YG’s first one in 4 years since BigBang’s debut in 2006 and 2NE1’s in 2004. The trilingual members are fluent in Korean, English and Japanese. Despite their young age, an average of 17 year old, they are arousing deep attention not only in Korea but also overseas. How many members in the group? The project initially started off with a plan of 10 or more members in the group, but throughout the years there has been a fierce competition among tens of tryout singers and now remain 6 members. Unfortunately Yuna Kim, who was discovered on Superstar K, had to be excluded from the team for personal reasons. However, Eunbi Kim, a contestant from the same program, remains as one of the 6 members. What is the promotional tactic of the new girl group? We are adopting a debut method that is utterly different from the conventional debuting ways that was applied to other YG girl groups. From October, we will be debuting one or two members at a time to see whether they are apt for the public. When we can see that the audience likes them, then we will move on to forming a proper group. BigBang’s all five members, on the other hand, made a debut as a group and then started working on their own work. It will help you understand better when I say that we are going the completely opposite direction with YG’s new girl group. In a nutshell, each member makes a debut first, and then they will come together to form a group. Right now I am in Japan with Akdong Musician and Lee Hi. Akdong Musician once said in an interview that Lee Hi would be the most “difficult†artist to befriend. For me, both Akdong Musician and Lee Hi are still a tad “difficultâ€, since they are the latest comers to our agency. I feel that we still need some ice-breaking to do. So using Daesung’s Japan concert as an excuse, I asked them to accompany me to Japan so that I can spend some quality time with them. On the first day of arrival, their ice has become a lot thinner, thanks to the visit to Disney Land. I joined them later that day for dinner. Frankly, because Soo-hyun, our youngest (which means Lee Hi is no longer the youngest), just turned 15 and others are also just teenagers, I was worried about the generation gap. But I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and was impressed by their bright and positive attitudes. I will come back with more details of their album release later! I think it's just an excuse to show them individually. jennie-jisoo-lalice- eunbi seems pretty safe to me. Eunbi is the only one that the public have an idea of so he won't be messing with her. Lalice vid was the most talk about trainee vid for awhile. Jennie seems to be the yg's fave and jisoo for her beauty. So it leaves 2 unknown members. Daehyun and yuna maybe? He also gave more hints about the future girl group. “This girl group will be distinctively different than current girl groups… I feel like it’s necessary to reveal the members publicly before their debut. We are also planning a new type of promotions.†He probably realised it wasn't so new this year... if you look at the last news, he said "different type of promotions for YG girls groups". Happens when he media plays so much about nothing concrete. IMO he used the same type of promotions with 2NE1. Bom and CL featuring for others, Dara acting in Iljimae... I'm not sure if the girls will be doing that or actually getting tracks. But weren't they know by the public before debuting? paatwho 242 Posted August 20, 2013 Share Posted August 20, 2013 lol, do you guys believe the groups will consist of 3 members? lol jennie will be always there, she will remain as the member. omg if he removed eunbi, that's just harsh. confirmed her as a member then removed her. euna's case all over again. it's simple yg, find talented people. you can always consider looks as one of the criteria but trust me makeup, growing up, hairstyle do wonders ex : CL, she' s really talented, i wouldn't say that she's not beautiful, but some people do think so. (for me she's always pretty even without makeup) but she's getting prettier day by day because of makeup and stuff. TALENT< LOOKS no one is perfect lol but glam is pretty close to his dream (all pretty and talented, minus the ex member trinity, she can play the keyboard though) Well, originally, 2NE1 was a trio. Removing Eunbi... the amount of criticism he would receive since she actually has fans. It might kill any chance this group still have of a explosive debut. I think the 3 girls should be Jennie, Eunbi and girl from GD's song. Just hope this group will bring good music, then I'll be okay with not being impressed by their talents.
