I would recommend "Battle Royale" if you don't mind subtitles and gore. It is such an amazing movie and seriously made me think about the true value of a human life. Also ridiculously violent but really good is "Boondock Saints". A complete 360 would be "Moonacre". It's a YA fantasy, but it is veer cute and enjoyable. And any period miniseries by the BBC. It portrays the life of a black family during segregation the US Holes - one of my favorite movies as a kid. the story is so unique and it has a happy ending. Rectify: A really great story about a man getting off of death row and after being sent to jail on rape and murder when he was in high school. Narcos: Story of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar The League: Hilarious show about a group of friends who play fantasy football The Returned (French version): Sort of a new take on the undead.
