"Reply 1988" breaks 10% rating. Surpassing previously "Reply" series ratings records by far!

The success is real! It is even bigger than past "Reply" series. I am so glad the writers learned what went wrong in the last season and made everything better in "1988"! I hope this means we are having "Reply 1999" next year!

To be honest the writers are their biggest enemy at the moment. As long they keep the show real about friendship and family this drama will go down as one of the best in k-drama history. If they start to focus in a love triangle and romance you can expect the ratings to not increase anymore just like it happened in the last "Reply" series.

 

Reply 1997 Episode 5 rating: 1,8%

Reply 1994 Episode 5 rating: 4,7%

Reply 1988 Episode 5 rating: 10.1%

I think "Reply 1994" rating record was 11,9% in the very last episode.

If "Reply 1988" quality remains I think it will break this rating record soon.

10% is insane tho. "The Village" with Moon Geun Young and Sungjae is on main broadcast channel but they are far below10%. Its amazing. I was hesitant to watch because the last Reply disappointed me but I´ll start watching.

well it didn't interest me as much as the first one did (1997)

 

episode one of 1988 just felt like they were yelling at each other in every conversation between the characters

that's why I didn't bother continuing with this show

Reply 1988 exceeds my expectation. It is really good. Every episode is getting better. Instead of focusing only the first love story, this series is more on the family. It is heartwarming.
