If you're a fan of one group, more, or even all of them, how many girls can you recognize and correctly remember their names? I know a lot of older/graduated AKB48 members, the more prominent girls from SKE/NMB/HKT/Nogizaka, but that's about it. For SNH48 though, I know all names in the four existing generations, except for a few newer girls, so that's 75. It's honestly not that hard if you're active in the fandom and see their faces regularly. For SNH48, which I try to learn all the names for, I actually do look at the names list and try to memorize ones that I don't know. I don't see any point of studying when members change alot or i don't care about some members.
