Muslims! How do you beautify?

I know a bit about makeup, but it can be difficult with many restrictions in the religion...

Any tips you may have?

Brows - can't remove hair (how to make it look clean; I have messy brows with scattered hair of moderate thickness)

Nose - I have a relatively flat nose... I don't wear thick makeup to school bc I don't want it to be obvious

Lips - I drink fluids to keep myself hydrated, but my lips are still dark (genetic) that people think I smoke... how to make them look naturally pink?

Thank you!

I can't with muslims women. They are being controlled by men and they don't do anything. Don't let them control you. And use all the makeup you want. Why can't you use makeup? It's stupid. If men can't control themself it's their fault. Why do you have to hide your beauty? It's stupid again.

Wait... We CAN wear cosmetics, it's just that we can't remove hair from our faces. I know it doesn't make any sense to others... but I just added other stuff.. my main problem is what I should do with my messy brows that's it.

as to why we hide our physical beauty, it's because intelligence and personality are more valued than aesthetics

we are not being controlled by men ... no one forbid us to use make up.

How about doing some research before you spouting shit?

I Want to know about the lips as well. Mine are dark too... I've try lips mask but it didn't change.

Well I just thread my brows. I know some Muslim women believe they can't, but yeah, it's definitely not all. Maybe if you can't remove hair, you can at least trim them? Lightly pencilling them in for a more even colour would help as well.

I've never had an issue with a flat nose tbh (just the opposite =_=) but a trick I like to use is using blush to lightly contour. I like it better than using a brown colour, and it looks especially nice if you're wearing powder as well.

I don't know if you can change your lip colour tbh, it really depends on the cause and severity. Reduce exposure to sun, eat balanced meals, take iron supplements (anemia can be an issue), and if you feel like there is a blue-ish tinge then talk to a doctor.

yes .. This is why you are looking for information to look better  This is what actually men are trying to make you believe. If you could choose whatever you want, I bet that you'd use a lot of makeup and would make your eyebrows.

The religion itself was dominated by men so the laws favor them more, but that's way irrelevant

Awww, lip cosmetics are the only way then... ow...

Thank you! That's what I do, but I usually do it thickly it doesn't look nice... Yes, I actually am anemic~ Thank youuu

I'm actually dancer that's why I'm looking for ways to look good since that's what my dance org requires of me. Sorry if I didn't put that up.

they won't force you to wear makeup but I'm sure they'd be mad if you wear it so it's the same. And they force you to wear hijab or whatever it's called. Just take as example Iran.

Iran is one of those extreme countries... Afghanistan too and many Muslims from other places can agree that they are way too harsh.

i think it is a matter of perspective tbh. like what my politician brother said once, the islam world is burning under our asses yet all some scholars care about is whether a woman should pluck her eyebrows or not. it is just some diversion from bigger issues that we should be talking about instead.

anyway, i personally do whatever i want. i wont have my eyebrows looking like a tree brunch but i also so happened not to like very thin brows. i have no problem with makeup (no one here does lol)

how fucking stupid

you need to fucking stop downplaying our intelligence. you came here acting all feminist and coorect telling us to stand up for ourselves but then here you are saying that we don't have the right to choose to wear the hijab or not wear make up. how about you fuck off and mind your own business moron?

But that give me the reason. Muslism women used to prefer to not wear hijab till a extremist government came. So you're lying when you say that you value more intelligence or personality than beauty. You don't have to give up one to be another. You can be pretty, intelligence and have personality.

tell that to all the muslim girls that used to get kicked out of their schools/uni because they're wearing hijab. tell that to all that girls who cried while taking off their hijab to be able to enter an exam

you can keep your pity, we don't need it and we didn't ask for. stop trying to be a knight in a shining armor. bye.

ive grown up around muslims in my family and never have i heard that tbh....

can you use a razor to shave the hair? they make eyebrow razors you can buy at the 99c store.

other than that the best you could do is probably try and use concealer and glue perhapse to shape your brows

Well, I don't think my rights have been violated. I admit I loosely follow Islam, but I still follow it... what do I have to fight for when I'm freely following Islam?

This is supposed to be a makeup topic though

i still do my brows and remove hairs that are on my face (like on my upper lip, etc). I've never heard hair wasn't allowed to be removed on your face tbh. All i remember knowing is that women can remove hair like on their legs, armpits, etc.

You can invest in a brow gel to get all the hairs in place. I use that when i was growing my eyebrows out. Just fill in the sparse areas and then use the brow get to set.

Nose...well im assuming you want to know how to make it slimmer looking? honestly contouring is your best bet. Using bronzer you can contour your nose to be slimmer. Theres a lot of tutorials on YT on this

For pigmented lips, there are some lip masks you can do to lighten it but im not sure how it can become naturally pink. For example, rice flour and milk is good. Theres more tutorials on YT for things like this as well. You can also dab a little foundation onto your lips to take away a bit of the color then use a lipstick to make it a natural pink

so you are trying to ignore what happened with Iran? Lmao . And they're getting kicked out because their parents prefer that their daughters wear hijab rather than studying.

I don't know but except for converted women, all the women wearing hijab were always dressed fashionably with perfect eyebrows, make up,etc. I think it's because you don't have to worry about what your hair looks like so they put more time in doing their make up.

Is it that around you other muslim girls do not wear make up, or that you don't want to look like those kind of girls?

For example, what muslim wearing an hijab looks like in Canada:

edit: Lol, just reread my post, it seems that I'm really tired because nothing makes a lot of sense.

Girls in Canada mostly use wax or threading to shape their eyebrows. I think using that amount of foundation, eyeliner and gloss is acceptable (she still remains modest) but it really depends your country and how much make up might be considered too much make up.

Concealer perhaps...  thank you! I can't go on stage with messy brows really

Thank you! I use brow mascaras, but I'm still new to it so I'm not sure about my way with it! Thanks a lot!
