Oh maybe you guys can help me find an artist. I recently watched one of those K-music video shoes and there was one with a woman singing a rock song. Do you guys know of any female singer-led bands that just recently released music? I really want to find it...If you can't help it's okay!

i dont know a lot, but rumble fish is led by a female singer

Maybe Younha? She released something recently but I think it was a ballad.

Then there is maybe Rumble Fish but it is 8 months old.

There is Jaurim too but I don't know much about her.

^Thank you!

My recommandation :

Glen Check - Haute Couture

The whole aldum is a masterpiece imo, there are very few lyrics but it makes me really appreciate the music. Here are some of my faves:

I thought Glen Check was electronic music lol.

Will add your recommendation to the op, if you don't mind.

To the person who was asking about that band with a female singer I couldn't find who you were talking about but here is a list of bands with a female singer :)

Jaurim

Loveholic

Cherry Filter

Rumble Fish

Roster Coaster

Pearl's Day

Sang Sang Band

A Bridge Casker

Invisible Man

Rule Destroyer

I am also confused on how to categorize them, they are like in between. However their ancient and latest release are definitely electronic music. I think that they decided to try more rock in Haute Couture.

Tbh, there is also the same problem with Bye Bye Sea, their first EPs are very pop/electronic but in their latest album, it was more directed towards rock.

I have yet to find a real Korean rock band music who is close to what Western rock sound

Got it :)

Well I can recommend Pia and Nell if you want something similar to western rock music.

Nell are influenced by Radiohead, Muse and Coldplay so modern rock white a hint of electronic (older stuff).

Also Gukkasten?

Everyone does eventually.

aaaaaaand it's gone.

Really liked this

Hmm it could be Jaurim. I'll need to check out more of their videos. Thanks!

Ah I wish they just stated the name of the video on that show!

You should try her older things, she is/was quite known and she didn't release much lately.

Nothing else comes to my mind, sorry,it seems like there are very few bands with a female singer in Korea.

Maybe you should try elaborating on how the video goes and such?

It sucks, because I can't really remember...dark sets, girl singing rock, I think she was in shorts. I think there was also a scene where she's singing in a dark room with fences.

Is she a soloist? Also if there were English lyrics you can always try googling them as see what comes up.

Actually, she could be...I understand I'm being vague ><. It's been a little while since I saw it this year, so I can't really remember. I'll research Jaurim and if it's not them, then I'll just try to find the show and go from there. Sorry for the trouble ><.

I like Yoari

(her discography with audio streaming here)

she released an EP last January 2013 and below is the title track

Kitty, I think Azia just found the song you are looking for. The girl is in shorts, and the song is recent, her voice sounds like Jaurim too.

I like this song, I will check out her previous work.

Just sharing, not my cup of tea.

Ok I'll just try in this thread too, already posted this to indie thread.

Hi! I don't want to make a new thread about this, so I'm just going to ask this here, have anyone of you heard band called Jambinai (잠비나ì´)?

I've never heard about them but just noticed that they are going to play a free summer festival gig in my country and now I'm thinking that should I go to watch them. I love post-rock and this seems to be kinda interesting group.
