According to the fanacc i've read, Hanbin will be eliminated next week. Tablo chose Olltii. I hope it's true. I think Hanbin went far enough. I can't believe i wanted him out but that for his best interest. T-T

 

Ahh if that's true then I'm glad That show wasn't very good for his stress level, and though he did overcome the trauma he got from WIN and got a chart topping single out, II think he got all that he could learn from the show. I'm proud of him

Okay, after watching this video I totally ship Swings and Bobby!    He's mentioned his love for Bobby in interviews on more than one occasion! This is true love! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for Bobby to join Just Music lol, but i know it aint gonna happen.

You know me well enough that in every spoiler tab I upload, there is at least an 1llionaire gif and 1 turn up XD

But Bobby doesn't have the weight of being the group leader or being hailed as "the next G.D.". Although Bobby has an incredibly strong presence on the team, at the end of the day, B.I is still the face of Team B and any mistakes on his part are going to weigh more heavily on the group's perceived capabilities than Bobby's. B.I has less room for failure. The format of M&M hasn't been revealed yet, but if it's anything like WIN, the poor boy's probably also being put through the ringer there too. I think it was G.D. who said that as leader, you have to work 2-3x as hard as all the members... B.I probs has to deal with not only his part in group performances, but making sure that the new trainees are up to speed, determining choreography and musical direction, all on top of managing a new group dynamic. PLUS he's such a good-hearted kid with such a strong sense of responsibility and high standards of quality for himself.  and then on top of that I think of all the shit YG probs is giving him for his fuckups on SMTM and I'm all TT_____TT

 

But yeah, I agree that SMTM is what he needed to separate himself from everything he's expected to be within YG because B.I. doesn't normally doesn't have the luxury of being weak or vulnerable (like before the final performance in the 2nd round of WIN). That's what I love about his "BE I" performance tho - for the first time, I really felt like I was hearing him rather than the cool idol B.I. And because he was forced to tear down his ego, from here on out I think the public will be more willing to see him as his own person and a flawed human being capable of growth. 

 

Also, awwwww Swings. omg he even tries to mimic Bobby's eye smile. I totally feel him, because I didn't know anything about double b but even I just wanted to protect them by like the third episode lolol. I didn't like him at first but Swings is actually kind of a giant softy who just happens to have a very blunt and honest way of speaking.

 

What do you all think of Bobby's performance persona on SMTM tho? He always portrays himself as this cool guy/tough guy with a rather harsh lyrical style, but in all the bts WIN stuff he's actually very happy-go-lucky imo. Plus I heard that he's also a very devout Christian...? which makes all his "cut off your d***" stuff kinda hilarious. idk, I feel like we've seen the real B.I but with Bobby, I wonder if he's still overcompensating for his idol image. 

 

You made really great points on BI's role in YG, I feel that BI came to the show rather unequipped mentally. While both he and Bobby are taught by the same rap coach in YG, BI have different priorities and expectation than Bobby like you said. Add that with the trauma of being on stage and forgetting lyrics and you'll have someone who is entering the competition with the mindset of 'I shouldn't make mistakes' rather than the mindset of 'I'm going to win this competition for ___ reasons' While those things listed above certainly does not excuse his lacklustre performances, it certainly helps us sympathize with the boy. 

 

I feel that some of these rappers has got it wrong when they criticize idols with their company's 'backing'. Of course what they said have some merits, which is why it's such a popular opinion, but on Bobby's and BI's case, it's completely different. Having a company as huge as YG didn't put them at the advantage. They came out on another survival show right after they were told on national TV that they're not going to debut, with people's preconception of them already formed. They dont have the luxury of proving themselves to the viewers because people already have their minds set on how to view them. In addition to that, they have to continue with their trainee activities while they're doing SMTM3, they have to film another survival show where they or their friends might get eliminated, and they have the knowledge that if they performed badly they will disgrace their team and company. And worst comes to worst, YG could even let them go.

 

Even swings said it too. (-"And his expressions are always like this" (imitates BI's slanted eyebrow/no confidence expression) I mean that's the expression of a person that's been weighed down with so much heartache and expectations. I feel for BI, I really do. I hate bad performances with a passion, but i couldn't hate BI knowing what he's gone through.

 

As for Bobby, I think he's such a funny dude! He definitely has more of a laid back attitude which factor into his swag in the show, but when he spits, his flow is just mad sick! That motherfucker goes hard into the beat, and then smiles like it's nothing! it's very endearing XD  His predebut stuff is really touching, but it deals with everday issues that teenagers faced. I'm glad he's showing more colours in his lyrics, even if it's in the form of brag rapping and cussing, because it means he's grown as a writer I just hope that YG handles him well and let him grow as a rapper, not just as a member of a group that raps.
