in someone else's translation, bi and chanmane call him hyung despite being born in the same year and bobby and him decided to friends (no honorifics). so, i assume bobby doesnt call him hyung. it might be olltii calling him hyung but they speak in an informal way like bobby and hanbin. it's just like jinhwan and taehyun all over again. taehyun calls seungyoon hyung because he's an early 94 liner, but he doesnt call jinhwan the same despite him being an early 94 liner as well

I ship them too          It seems that they called each other hyung but spoke casually? Or maybe they got even closer after the show was over      I kinda ship Bobby with Iron now because Iron said he wants to collab with Bobby. I want all these rappers to collab with B.I. and Bobby one day.

omg do you all remember how on SMTM3 they kept showing parts of WIN? specifically clips of YG and G-dragon talking about Double B, and judges saying how they should go on SMTM?

 

I'm gonna bet they're gonna spend time (either on this special live or the actual first episode) showing clips of WIN and SMTM3. Some footage from WIN for sure! They won't be able to resist that clip of B.I. saying "SMTM was like hell, but after a while hell became comfortable, and I'll be ready for the next hell". oh and showing Bobby's win of course. The Mnet editors will DEFINITELY put that in there.  

 

I'll be pissed if the first episode is just YG + YG artists + old clips ...

Just watched the episode. 

 

the dancing was great, that choreo was gooooood. Bobby going home is so happy and adorable. His hyung and mom, awwww.

B.I. .... no words for this guy. I'm amazed at his skills, leadership, and determination. 

HOTEL CAMERAS everything about this was perfect. OT3 shirtless, pushups, B.I. walking out in a towel (LOL), cuddling, snuggling (BOBBY NUZZLIING JINHWAN OMG)

Chanwoo looks much better in motion. Jinhyeong is cute too. The whole introductions part was super awkward but I don't blame them one bit. 

Ugh now I'm so curious as to how Hongseok will be introduced. Having another trainee joining the program late must be super tense and stressful for all of them. I feel so bad for all nine boys      YG why you do this.

 

I love the new song's performance at the end, I'm going to go find it on iTunes now to support them ~

On the other hand, I want to listen to Chanwoo's voice so bad (because everybody underestimated him   )

As for Hanbin's song choice, probably to show his arrangement skills? If he turned Mercy into a hiphop song then "Chapeau bas!"

Most of the time I think voices match looks ... then last year I became a fan of VIXX. You can't say that Leo's voice matches his looks. He has a stony poker face, is over 180 cm tall, has really broad shoulders (drool) ... but his voice is so high, and those high noooootes!! So uh, you never know .... 

 

I'm hoping YG's description just means Hongseok can emote well through his singing.

It's from SMTM episode 9, at around the 2:35 mark in this video. The top 4 go into an Adidas store to "get outfits for the semifinals", aka "here's a shopping montage so we can stick in product placement".

LMAO yea mnet editing..they always make at least one to look like a loser to bait viewers. Perhaps June wont get OLLTiified,kpop fans cant handle things like hiphop fans, they will take everything seriously and they only accept sugarcoating aka beautiful unicorn/angels filled paradise world.

I totally agree that kpop fandoms are more sensitive than hiphop fans. That's why I hope Mnet won't evil edit any of the nine boys, they're more likely to get backlash from viewers.

 

Another thing is that the SMTM contestants, in general, had an outlet with which to clarify their side of the situation. SMTM3 had quite a bit of evil editing in the early episodes. However, some contestants were able to post on Facebook or other social networking sites about the truth. For example, Tarae wrote that he didn't actually rudely leave in the 1v1s, Snacky Chan's partner from the 1v1s defended him and said he wasn't nearly as rude as editing made it seem, and New Champ said that he had actually messed up and the producers were justified in letting him go. After the show, Olltii wrote a long Facebook post; and we all know now that Olltii was actually friendly with Double B. Even Toy has given at least two interviews.

 

I'm worried about evil editing for Mix & Match because all these boys are YG trainees. Interviews and social media are restricted by YG. They can't post on SNS or give an interview to defend themselves like the SMTM contestants. Yes, YG himself could speak up to defend them, but after other recent scandals nobody trusts what YG says ...

After reading this I was sooo happy!   

Then I remember that maybe it was just the audition footage so no ollbin moment yet....   

then I got my hopes high that we will have more SMTM3 footage in the future with more DOUBLE B interraction with hopefully Olltii, Chamane, Iron, Vasco and who know the judge also   

BTS makes me think that maybe we'll see them practicing their audition raps? I'm curious about what B.I.'s was supposed to be.

Am I reading that right?? The final match counts for 90%?! I suppose that's the match with audience voting, and the earlier rounds are to sway audience votes, build storylines, show improvement, and build up fanbases for each of the 6 members competing for a spot.

Just got to watch the new episode. My thoughts - 

 

Hanbiiiiiin. Oh Hanbin. I am forever in awe of his mental strength and leadership. Of course last episode he was unsettled and uncomfortable, but after the shock wore off his leader side takes over and he just ... does his best, always, for everyone. He's just amazing.

 

The editing is so weird. Why splice in the press conference at the beginning of the episode 2? All the viewers can tell that's out of order and the timeline is messed up, because the press conference is where all 9 trainees were shown and 3 members were announced to be fixed. But it's only later in this episode that the footage of YG telling them about OT3 being fixed + one more trainee (Hongseok) is gonna join is shown. Also, the SMTM3 footage - the audition BTS seem to be around the right time, but the one-minute montage of B.I. and Bobby that covers the next few months of SMTM3 is weird. Maybe it's just me but I hate it when editors mess with the timeline of events.

 

Yunhyeong impressed me, and Junhoe too of course. Chanwoo looked a more natural and relaxed during his performance than Jinhyeong did, which surprised me, because during song-picking Chanwoo looked a lot more reserved/awkward with his team. I prefer Chanwoo over Jinhyeong for now, but I think they'll both improve. Jinhyeong seems the least debut-ready at the moment, though. 

 

Whoever wrote that they predicted that Hongseok would only be shown in the preview was right.  Ughhh one more week until Hongseok. 

 

After this episode - I'm rooting for OT6 to stay together even more. As a long-time Johnny's (Jpop) fan, I know what it feels like to stan pre-debut idols and wait years for their debut, and the heartbreak when management splits up predebut groups and mashes together random groups for debut. I watched idols who were shafted from debut either slowly fade away into solely acting, musicals, or back-dancing, or leave the Japanese entertainment industry entirely. I told myself I'd stop stanning pre-debut idols but Team B sucked me in.       I can't stand any more heartbreak, I really want OT6 to be able to make it together.

Anyways, BI said "it's so so" but we have no idea what he's even talking about. I'm 100% sure it was edited that way to make people feel nervous about hongseok's singing. Just the fact that he's the latest addition makes me feel like YG was saving the best for last.

If Mnet doesn't use a cliffhanger, then they use misleading previews. smh .____.

A little off-topic but I'm also watching the current season of Korea's Next Top Model, and the editing is so flawless in comparison to Mnet's survival shows. There's no bullshit and the focus is on the missions. There are a lot of clips of the contestants' interviews and their thoughts on each other but you can totally tell there's not much evil editing. And the previews are actually about future challenges and not misleading reaction shots.

 

I CAN SEE IKON BEING A LOT LIKE BLOCK B MUSICALLY WHICH WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE BLOCK B MAKES GREAT MUSIC.

 

The mercy performance makes me feel sure that we'll see a lot of interesting and diverse concepts from Ikon. BI playing the ringleader made me want a Hiphop-circus theme from them too. YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS

YES I would love it if IKON did that! Block B has also shown diversity in their music (HER is like an aegyo/rock concept lol), which I think B.I. can and will totally do.

 

Oh oh have you seen this? SPEED's "Don't Tease Me". (Speed's leader/rapper is Taewoon, Zico's older brother). I can see IKON doing this style :D
