It was only rumoured though right? I think we just assumed because we got a preview from WIN.

I want the preview though, at least something whilst we wait until the 11th.

 

Oh and YG didn't happen to say what TIME it'd air did he? I didn't see anything about it, so I'm just assuming it'll be SMTM's time slot.

 

Since it M&M starts exactly one week after SMTM3 ends I assumed that it would take over that time slot, 11 pm. I didn't see any news on that though.

I'm surprised that they've already decided that it will be a 7 member group. If they were "mixing & matching", why have a set number already? What if 5 is enough? Or 6? What if they should debut all? Like I get 7 is ideal for dance formations but... hmm, ok YG. 

It makes me feel like he already knows which members he wants in and out.

 

VIXX had a pre-debut documentary/competition type show as well, called MyDol. Now that I think about it, M&M is most like this show. Jellyfish Ent. originally had 7 male trainees, and they added 3 new guys for a total of 10 trainees. The new guys move in & join in the first episode. In the second episode the CEO explains that they've decided the new idol group will have 6 members "as a result of many meetings". The rest of the episodes focus on the challenges (they have different teams each time), making the final lineup, and leading up to VIXX's debut. 

 

In MyDol I thought it was weird Jellyfish said "we're going to have 6 members, you 10 will have to compete for a spot" since there were originally 7 trainees, though the CEO admits they could increase the group by 1 member. There were some really obvious members that you could tell were DEFINITELY going to make the final lineup, so I think the company involved already knows who they want before they film the show.

yes, i agreed. teddy lee (byungjun) said that he was just asked for the show and didnt want to really end up as a vixx member. he was there just for the sake of being there. but the company wanted him tbh but he refused. and mydol is a heavy scripted survival show.

but, m&m probably would end as OT6+1 new dude. at least, if yun/chanwoo is out, he will be transferred to ygkplus.

 

I remember reading a bit of what Teddy Lee wrote online, but I don't think I read everything he wrote. Teddy/Byungjun leaving the dorm in the first episode was painfully, obviously scripted.

 

Before this press conference I would have agreed with you that the group would be OT6 + 1 new guy, but now that YG said audience votes count for 70% I'm really scared .____.   Who knows how audience votes will go ...

you know, the old 3 guys already have a strong fanbase. that's why they will get more advantages. it will be like the already known members in winner all over again. it will help them a lot, i guess. so the new trainees will be the underdogs LOL. 

watch these new trainees be good and slaying and mnet will start a pity party for the old ones. so, they gain more votes. LOL

Oh yeah good point. The power of editing!! I do hope screen time and editing will be fair to all of them but ... this is Mnet ... from the very first episode of SMTM3 the producers were calling out Mnet for their devil's editing

I'm Hongseok's friend. 

I've been friends with him since highschool, and in Highschool we were together in ___ (Can't understand those characters. It's not Korean)

And in ____ we prepared for University together. I'm in China, attending University, however I entered Korea for a bit. 

Hongseok wanted to be a singer, so he dropped out. He loves singing to that extent and his love for music is so pure. 

He's very good at singing in my standards, and whenever we went to kareoke, his singing made me love music so much more. 

And since he's born with musical talent, whenever he sings, it's overflowing with power. 

I do like gags and all, but maybe it's because he laughs at his own jokes that it becomes funny. LOL.

 

However, more than anything, 

he's so very nice, 

and a true friend.

To the point where I think it's a blessing that I met him. 

 

I'm writing this with a heavy and careful heart

Because I feel like this might burden him, but I want him to succeed that much. 

However, the people here are trying so hard to make sure his history is clean, 

so I'm writing this here in this crappy place. 

 

Lastly, I'll just write comfortably without honorifics because it's more comfortable for me

I came here by coincidence, but I'm happy to see people cheer him on already

SMTM3 producers are probably going to release the final round tracks, right? Bobby's had every single one of his performance rounds' songs released, and he's doing well on charts, I think we'll get another song release for sure! Maybe not today but tomorrow.

Yeah I comment quite a bit on Reddit after I stopped lurking. Lately I commented on most SMTM3 posts because not enough people over there are watching the show so I wanted to get conversations going. I think many more people on /r/kpop will watch Mix & Match though so that'll be really fun.

In the middle of winning Mnet′s Show Me the Money 3 on September 4, YG Entertainment′s Team B member Bobby stated that he will not get lazy.

 

Through his agency, Bobby shared his thoughts on winning, saying, "I feel like I was undeserving of such an award. Despite still lacking so much, I′m so thankful for all the support given to me and now even an award. In the future, I won′t become lazy in improving myself and will become a Bobby that won′t be arrogant, so continue to watch over me and give support."

 

After Bobby′s win was confirmed, YG Entertainment posted a new poster on its official blog, (www.yg-life.com), with the caption, ‘BOBBY WINS!′, congratulating the rapper.

 

On this day, Bobby participated in the final round against Iron of the YDG team.

The final song, Put Your Guard Up Bounce was co-produced by Bobby and Prima Vista with lyrics written by Bobby, who shared, "I don′t understand it when people rap because they can′t sing. This is something I want to tell people who stain the idol rapper title."

 

On the stage, Bobby criticized talentless idols with the Illionaire style of rapping along with bouncing rhythm, just like the title. With the brilliant performance, Bobby was able to defeat Iron in both the first and second round of voting, confidently taking the final win.

 

With more than 3000 people applying for the competition, the fact that a trainee who is preparing to debut in an idol group managed to go through the preliminaries, the first and second competitions, and all the way to win the entire competition has been gathering much attention.

 

Anticipation is on the rise for Bobby′s future as all of his tracks, which were released ahead of the actual broadcast performance, have all hit number one on music charts and were even spotted at the top of real-time search engines.

 

Meanwhile, with Show Me the Money 3′s acknowledgement of his rap skills, Bobby, along with the rest of Team B and three new trainees, Jung Chan Woo, Jung Jin Hyung, and Yang Hong Seok, will begin a new survival match Mix & Match to debut in YG′s new boy band, iKON. The program will begin on September 11 through Mnet and Naver TV cast.

 

Bobby, B.I, and Kim Jin Hwan have already become fixed members of the new group, leaving the six other trainees to compete against each other fill in the remaining four spots in iKON. Haha I totally get ya. I thought Junhoe's voice was annoying. HE was annoying. he was loud on the mic and I had to watch the show a second time lmao and realized that you won't SEE these boys if you don't LOOK. Junhoe is so adorable tho, but you'd mostly notice that in the unreleased clips which I think is still unfair.

For Korean shows I typically wait for subs because I don't see the point in watching twice. SMTM3 was an exception though, I streamed the episodes live and also watched the subbed ones. I did that because I liked a lot of people on the show and couldn't wait to watch (also I was so anxious that my favorites would get eliminated). I think I might watch M&M raw 'cause I don't wanna wait to see them haha.

1. The verse 'No Dollmodel' from my performance is a verse from a track, 빠순/Ppasoon ,on my mixtape. 

The track criticises the standardized education concept of the music market and how fandoms prioritize looks and all of that. 

Please have a listen when you have time!

 

2. It's not that I specifically wanted to target Bobby and BI on stage, but the other contestants who chose to attack the weak rapper images of the two friends (Those rappers aren't the ones who entered the final lineup) 

behind their backs and not on stages made me very disappointed and frustrated. That's why I did it. With no bad feelings or with an inferiority complex, I just wanted to do it in a fun manner. The reaction of Bobby and Bi who were watching

actually told me personally that 'The stage was fucking fun/funny". I was glad that BI took the hint and was down to earth about it. (However, the show didn't edited it that way LMAO)

 

3. Bi and Chamain, the two 96'ers who respected me as a fast 96'er and Bobby who called me hyung even though he's a 95'er are interacting with me even now as great friends without using honorifics. They're all friends in my heart... wait no. 

It's a lot more complicated that way to be honest. ASJdkasjdla, this is confusing! Sorry for the quick-written post~~~
