Team B's turn all the lights on and 6foot 7 foot performance , blew me away so yeah that's what made me change . I was still an OT11 at that point but then , some things that I didnt like happened in the other team and that's when I realized that I was a team B fan

me too, im a team a fan before because of KSY.. but when team b performed turn on the lights on and 6 foot 7 foot, i became team b fan.. i also downloaded that two songs..

I went into WIN purely for the Hunger Games teenage death match action and out of a vague curiosity about what YG ended up doing with Lee Seunghoon.  I figured it was just be like an continuation of K-Pop Star: fluffy, meaningless tv I'd watch casually and forget about after.

lol I like how Jinhwan was all so serious talking about it, Bobby and BI behind him was nodding and did little head isolations.

 

I read about Bobby winning SMTM3. 

So, on a whim, watched it. It was a great show, though editing needs work. From there I got to know Bobby and BI and 

 

 

they impressed the hell outtta me. Bobby was dope. Still is. He's got such power in his rap and swag to the max. Then I found out about Team B and how they'd lost WIN. 

I watched WIN from ep 1. I saw how good this team was except for vocals. Junhoe had great potentials though.

It was fun seeing them win each 'battle' but lost till the end. And who didn't cry at Climax. Even though I knew the outcome. I teared up.

Crazy good BI was. 

 

Watching WIN, it was obvious to me how good team B was. Except for overall vocals. Dodo and yoyo and sometimes Jinhwan needed work then.

 

As WINNER then had their own tv show after the win, I knew Team B would have their turn on the spotlight. Just them.

Watching Mix & Match, I compared Big Bang documentary peops with them.

They were around the same age as big bang members then but iKON just looks younger imo and iKON seems to be all nice guys except for Junhoe who prefers to be who he is which is awesome.

 

If I were to compare those two groups at the trainee level,  I like iKON more. Cause they're fun and dorky. Emphasis on the dorkness.

I love that BI is just a vulnerable, he seems to be self deprecating (he said that he's good in writing depressed songs/self pity songs), and by watching SMTM and other shows, he's humble , especially humbled by his own mistakes.  All those bravado in his rap in SMTM/WIN/MM is just for show. Excellent leader but a nice guy. Hard on the outside (when it matters) soft on the inside.

 

Bobby is the opposite of BI. That's why he can be that close with BI. Other than being closer in age. He's the crazy and fun to the calm BI. While BI tend to doubt himself (SMTM) Bobby doesn't seem to doubt much (shown in SMTM). He just focuses on it and did it. The difference that he is when he's on stage performing rap ... with him not rapping or off stage is huge. Total swagger to total dork /total sweetness. He signs his name with bugs teeth and slanted eyes knowing and admitting his unique features in the 'aesthetically pleasing' idol world.

While BI's rap is light and witty, Bobby's rap is usually heavy and strong added with pure swag energy on stage.

Watching Team A and Team B in ep 2 MM, when Bobby was rapping. It was so clear that he's just too powerful for that group. (hence the need to choose the right song to make sure the rest stands out)

 

Jinwhan? He's nice. Very very nice. He can dance really well. He can provide the lightness in vocal in opposition to the strength of Junhoe.

 

Junhoe. He is a character! True dat.

In every ep, you'd see he's being true to himself. His narcissistic, self absorbed self. Love his confidence. A good singer. iKON's asset fer sure.

 

 

Watching bb stuffs again has made me watch Tonight on various stages. I thought that's when they started to look cooler and different, the year I found out about them.

I noticed that on stage and off GD's just a confident charismatic cool persona. After watching iKON's camp trip, BI, the leader is kinda dorkish. These iKON guys are all too sweet compared to BB when they were their age.

BB rapper, TOP is cool and funny off stage while iKON's rapper Bobby is dorky and crazy fun off stage.

Seungri the maknae's cute but he seems sly unlike Dong Hyuk/Chan Woo who's like a good kid next door.

But! iKON... we have the guy with ultra sass, Junhoe! No one can beat his narcissism and "I'm too cool for school" attitude. (love him)

Yoyo - another nice kid who seems to be able to find a spot in iKON. He's improved in dance. Look at that head isolation and groove!

His singing is better.

 

Dong Hyuk has moved up so much in the muscular department. His face is fuller and sang much clearer and stronger than before.

However it's still not strong enough imo.

 

The rest of 3. Don't know em yet. Hope they bring it when it matters. 

 

Big Bang earlier albums were successes but they went astronomically mega at 2011 when GD was blond. They changed their image. Each was clear cut different from the other. Image was strong. It works with the cool collected big bang team (well most of them).

 

So, I hope .. iKON , will get an image. One that don't bring ugly hairdos to Bobby (remember YG Family concert, they were in white? Bobby's god awful hair and make up?)  and color to BI and the rest. Leave Junhoe's hair as it is to not tamper with his "I'm cool" narcissistic vibe which is doing great for him right now.

Thats how i feel every time YG announces a new group. When I stan a group, I dont want to make excuses for the members that are lagging behind. I want everyone to shine and stand strong on their own talent wise.

 

 

 Fuck it. Just fuck everything and form a 4 man hip hop group with Bi, Bobby, Mino, and Top (for visual purposes). They can be YG's next 2ne1 but instead of Teddy, Dok2 can be the exclusive producer and they can make rachet music all day long.

So you guys are sharing stories?

At the beginning of WIN era, I was neutral towards both team. However, after 2 or 3 episodes I saw a lot of ppl were rooting for Team A and some of them even brought Team B down to praise their favs. I always have a soft spot for the underdogs so I purposely supported team B.

After watching few of their performances and some unreleased clips, I found them very good/energetic at performing/dancing and also funny/dorky when they're playing. I like their 'PLAY HARD, WORK HARD' attitude and also their flawless teamwork so I started to call myself a fan.

#1 Fav performance: Turn all the lights on(Love climax as well but TATLO is my type since I'm a club banger)

#1 Fav dance: Cant choose since I like all of their dance performance.

 

Team B/iKON is the kind of group I like because imo they're versatile in term of music(seriously dont understand why ppl say that they can only do hip hop, did I watch the same show with them? because Team B has some non-hip hop performances such as climax,forget you,Baby etc. Now we can see that they can do Mercy and Wait for Me also.

When I heard he was going to be in Team B, I knew I wss going to support him and his group. And then the press conference came and Junhwe looked so handsome (I thought he was the best looking out of the 11) and then I see a photo of Bobby smiling and I'm completely sold to Team B. The funny thing is I didn't even recognize Hanbin until someone pointed out that is him LOL he was just so changed from the kid from youtube...

So yeah, I choosed Team B because I'm a shallow hoe and I got attracted to them first because of their appearances :/
