hii! im so happy to finally find a forum to spazz and talk about mix & match! i tried tumblr and soompi but finally found it here! ^^

 

Been a fan of the boys since WIN. Am mostly YG-biased. Big bang will always be number 1 for me though. Hoping that ikon will be my next fav group ).

 

My thoughts on M&M ep 1 :

- omg you guiise, PARIS GOEBEL is training with them?? she is SUCH an amazing dancer and her choreo is SICK. Youtube her name and you’ll get what i mean. LOVE HER.

 

- The boys have grown a lot (physically) since we saw them last on WIN

 

- However, in terms of their preformance and whether they’ve improved with their singing & vocals, we dont really get to see it this ep. 

 

- Majority of the ep was mostly flashback/catching up with the team b members, what they’ve been up to, etc. 

 

- The 2 new trainees appearance start around the 38:00 min mark. (What happened to the 3rd trainee? are we gonna see him later on? do you guise anyone know?)

 

- I didnt think it was possible to love Bobby even more, but this ep just proved me wrong.  Firstly, the way bobby treats his mom *LE SIGH*. GIrls, you can always know how a man will treat his girlfriend by the way he treats his mom. And i just have a huge soft spot for boys who're close with their families. Second, You can see that bobby is a genuinely friendly, warm, outgoing guy who has such a big heart with how he greeted the new trainees. He reached out to the boys first while introducing himself, along with Yoyo, them two boys *sigh*. They tried to make the new boys comfortable, and make the whole situation a bit better by being decent.

- While i could understand the younger members (junhoe and dodo) being less friendly and a bit hostile, i was REALLY disappointed in Hanbin and Jinhwan. Even hanbin though, i can kinda understand a bit, cause he’s under so much pressure all the time. But Jinhwan especially, as the oldest member, he should have been setting a better example for the other boys, instead it fell on bobby to make up for everyone else. It was such an awkward scene, and i cant imagine how mortifying it had to be for the new boys as well, NOTHING is scarier than being the new ppl against a GROUP that are already friends. Just imagine the first day at a new school. Except wayy worse. Really, really, disappointed in Jinhwan and hanbin this ep. Hopefully it was just the surprise and shock that made them act that way, and things'll be better next week (fingers crossed). 

 

- Next week seems WAY more interesting than this week’s ep. Bring on the DRAMA   

 

- Finally, a few comments on some of the fans (twitter comments are vicious) who are hating on the new trainees WAY too hard. First: Chill. Second: You should be getting mad at “papa†YG rather then 2 trainees who had no choice whatsoever in how they were going to debut. 

I’ve said this in the past with WIN, and i’ll say this now. Using this type of format for introducing a new boy group is very very smart. Because it’s able to attract a lot of fans quickly, and it gets the viewers emotionally invested in the boys. 

 

- My prediction for the finale: Chanwoo and Donghyuk will get eliminated.

Chanwoo: the trainee who acted as lee minho’s younger version. I think his passion is in acting, he seems more into it. I think YG added him just for the sake of adding more boys and more drama lol. Ugh YG. 

Donghyuk: because although he improved on his dancing, i think vocally he’s still very weak. He doesn’t bring anything new to the table. And with other members getting better/having more raw talent, it’s hard to compete. Love the boy, he’s so nice and such a sweetheart, but I dont think he’s gonna make it.

thanks for the welcome! and glad to be a part of this amazing fabulous fandom ^^. I was a bit unsure whether to join at first, but after backtracking and reading a lot of the comments, im so glad that our fandom and the posters here seem like really nice sweet ppl, who dont can discuss and argue different views but still remain friendly and civil. i was so worried it would be like allkpop comments section lol.

Actually, Donghyuk was very friendly to the new trainees. BI was evidently cold but off the camera we could see him laughing and smiling at the new guys. Jinhwan eventually warmed up and started giving them more assurance towards the end as well with advice and all that stuff.

 

The one person who was literally just straight up hostile without a smile to spare was Junhwe.

lmao junhwe is such a guy's guy, his reaction wasn't surprising tho especially since he's still so young. 

With donghyuk he was nice and civil, but like everyone before bobby was giving off civil vibes. He was the first to be straight up "hey watssaap?" lol. We know that hanbin gets along with the trainees from recent fanaccounts/sightings/pics of them together, but I think this ep he was still very cold towards them.

*pat* *pat* It's okay to feel that way. I liked Hanbin's honesty tho. He's a good kid but as a person with authority, he can be uptight and scary. And Jinhwan hyung, he's got that judging look most of the time but as the other members said, "He's REA~LLY kind." so, don't think much of it. He just looks that way. And even if he really was judging them, not everybody can be kind and sincerely kind at that. I'd prefer front stabbing than back stabbing.

And in the banana boat ride, Jinhwan hyung has his arms around Jinhyeong's waist so...yeah. It'll definitely get better. 

 

I'm going to call another person hyung when Hongseok finally appears.   

 

thats true... it's better that the boys straight up show their feelings rather than talking behind their backs lol. 

aawh really?? i havent seen that pic of the banana boat ride, but it sounds adorable ^^. 

hahaha, when IS hongseok going to pop up? YG is being so sneakyy.  Is Hongseok the same age as bobby?

Hi and welcome! Seok is born in '94 same as Jinny but I think younger than him by a little. And he'll probably be in episode 3.

I don't see why you were disappointed. First YG blindsided them they had no ide this was going to happen after everything. Second Hanbin is the leader, it took him time to adjust to YoYo, Hyuk and Jun when they came into the company, he worked so hard on helping them together with Jinhwan and Bobby. They grew to depend on each other and formed a bond. Neither of them was fake they just couldn't hide how they felt, which is devastated. It's normal, they're still young adults who can't really hide their feelings on a switch. Second they weren't rude, they were like I said blindsided and they didn't know how to react. They introduced themselves, Jinny even gave them advice. It's the first meeting and the situation wasn't pleasant but the boys didn't creat the situation it was sprung on them. They dealt with it the best way they could. This doesn't mean they were rude or that they'll be rude but they do need time.

 

I'm dissapointed because i think jinny as the oldest and hanbin as the leader could've dealt with the situation better. I also said at the end of that paragraph that it was probably due to shock and the surprise of the whole situation that they were acting that way. That is just how i personally felt. My feelings were that i was dissapointed in them because i felt bad for the new trainees. I never said the boys were rude. That was never a word i used in my post. I also said that hopefully in the next episode it will probably be better. I wasn't attacking the boys are trying to paint them in a negative light. I guess I was dissapointed because Hanbin and jinhwan were my biases, so i held them to a higher standard.

YG is gonna make them believe they'll be a 8member group and will tell them that he's not satisfied by their teamwork and/or by the new trainees in 2-3 episodes and PLOT TWIST he'll add Hongseok and tell them that after much thought a 7 member group is better than a 8-9 members group and announce the eliminations

 

 

 

this makes sense tbh , I can see his fugly ass do that

lmao this is literally all i could think of the whole time YG popped up in the show. He's just so.. unpleasant looking (he literally looks like a troll). 

Also, omg, do the boys really not know some are being eliminated? I thought YG mentioned the disbandment thing to them

I think he did say it, but im not sure if it was just like a brief mention, or if he actually explained the situation to the boys.. the translator didnt really elaborate unfortunately :(

lol, it was awkward watching him alone.

looks like YGE have got a new money making machine. They're practically launching him solo.

thats what i thought too, it felt weird and awkward seeing him without the members. 

lmao YG is just itching to find his "new Gdragon" someone they can promote solo and bring in the moneh ^^. I can see him going solo more than hanbin at the moment, but i bet YG's greed will allow both to do their thing lol.

the letters were proven as fake. I believe there was a butthurt hater on DC (?) that spreaded the rumour and said nasty stuff about the new trainees because she loves ot6 too much and hated the newbies lol shes banned now
