EXILE finished the final day of their tour EXILE LIVE TOUR 2013 EXILE PRIDE at Tokyo dome on September 27. The date happens to also be the 12th anniversary of the group. This is the last live for leader HIRO, who'll be retiring from performing.

When fans came to the venue they were handed penlights and were told the staff are preparing a surprise for HIRO

A surprising announcement was made at the end of the tour. As HIRO will be retiring from EXILE as a performer, an EXILE PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION will be held

It's assumed that it'll be held to replace HIRO's place (not as a leader but a performer.)

You're welcome. I can't imagine EXILE performing without HIRO and the burden and expectations whoever joining EXILE as a performer will have to carry and fulfill (and I don't want to think that much about it)

But imagine how exciting it will be when we get to see the people that make it to the finals of that audition...there hasn't been a new EXILE member in a long time now. Someone new and unknown joining might be the push they need to do something really cool as their next single/album.

 

(Not that I don't love the rest of the 13 members still remaining. :chu: )

what confuses me is that I thought only the people from the EXILE pyramid can only be an Exile member?  :unimpressed:

and now they're going to have an audition....

I hope shokichi's brother can be a member masayasu   :hurr:

Actually I was thinking too much about the whole thing and I thought: In previous auditions, people affiliated with LDH/EXPG joined the auditions and made it to the finals so maybe the new performer won't be a new face after all. If you think about it, even 3JSB or Gekidan EXILE members can participate in this. I'm thinking EXPG instructors too. This is crazy XD

 

Answering your question, jprchan: this is special since HIRO's retiring and they need to fill his spot thus an audition. So the EXILE pyramid is the normal approach.

See I told you they were going to go out with a bang! (apart from the news about the EXILE PERFORMER AUDITION). I'm so glad Ueto Aya was there including SHUN, the Prime Minister and others to support them and HIRO. :smile:
