sillysone 6,340 Posted November 14, 2015 Share Posted November 14, 2015 I'm sure if you know a bit about J-pop, you must have heard the name Morning Musume at least once, but for the people who are still in the dark about them, I present to you some info you need to know: - Morning Musume was formed in 1997, with a graduation concept and has gone through 12 generations of members so far. All the current members have only been in the group since 2011 and after. - Morning Musume is a group under Hello!Project, an idol project for all the female singers under the company Up-Front. - They hold the second overall single sales on Oricon for a female group, only behind AKB48, and they used to be the biggest J-pop girl group before AKB shot to fame. - All the members have their own official color. - The current leader is Fukumura Mizuki, also known as Fuku-chan. - The current oldest member of the group is 21, while the youngest is only 13. - Since 2014 they've started adding the current year next to their name, so atm the group is known as Morning Musume '15 (they pronounce it as "one five") Here are some songs I recommend checking out if you're new to Morning Musume: And finally, here are some reaction gifs with Morning Musume's very own Ikuta Erina and Iikubo Haruna respectively , feel free to use them around on the forum! I'm only a new fan so I'm not familiar with many old songs, only the bigger hits like Love Machine, Love Revolution 21 etc.. I do know most songs from Platinum era though.
