Among Armys and international kpop fans in general, this phrase/world play is popular due to BTS. "No Jams" is not a common saying in South Korea, but now it seems like it's becoming one?

EDIT: Are some people really upset with this? I thought it was cute! tbh I'm actually curious what else have they watched or know about BTS!! And It's cute that Jungyeon constantly uses the phrase in her individual introductions.

EDIT 2: "ìž¼" I don't think it means good, when I look it up literally I get pictures of Jam or it's trans as "ZAM" (old korean idol group). ìž¼ seems to be a wordplay from the korean word ìž¬ë¯¸ìžˆë‹¤= to be good/interesting. I guess the question now is was "no jam/ìž¼" a common korean wordplay before Rapmon said it during BTS english conversation?...which honestly I don't think it was, it seem to be spontaneous when initially said...

Hahahaha. I'm usually one to brush things off as just a coincidence, but it's really not a common phrase to my knowledge. And it's used in a peculiar and specific way in this context. So... perhaps not too far-fetched.

agree! when i was watching the video i was like nah, but then as i thought about it i was like this is kind of funny and cute

she's prob saying "no ìž¼/jaem" (meaning: not funny) & not "no jams" tho. i think no ìž¼ is pretty common to say.

but yas @ bts's fangirl list.

The saying 'no jams' comes from 'no jaem' in that sense. Of course the word 'jams' existed earlier but Rapmon was making a world play with jams and jaemi.

yeah, but i meant that the twice member probably wasn't saying it in the BTS-sense haha.

but doesn't the word play exist/popular because of rapmon? the reasoning you've used is the same Armys have been using to explain why rapmon said that to jimin lol

idk but from what I watched it is bit funny sometimes the way she say some of the words..lol it's similar to how EXO use to joke about the way Tao pronounced his korean
