Kang Ji Young’s ‘Rainbow Rose’ to Air in Korea for the First Time

For the first time in Korea, Tooniverse will air Rainbow Rose, a Korean and Japanese collaborated drama starring KARA’s Kang Ji Young.



Rainbow Rose focuses on the lives of students from different countries and cultures while living together in a boardinghouse. It will also emphasize the friendship and love that takes place among the students.

Due to the main characters of the show, the drama received great popularity when aired on TV Tokyo in April. Contents Seven, a Korean production company, was also involved in the producing and filming of Rainbow Rose.

KARA’s Kang Ji Young and Supernova’s Park Geon Il play the leads of the drama. Kang plays Yuri, the daughter of the boarding house’s owner, who dreams of being a fashion designer, while Park plays Yuichi, an all-around perfect stud.

Along with Kang Ji Young and Park Geon Il, We Got Married’s Julian Kang, Nice Guy’s Lee Sang Yeop, Jeong Seong Kyeong and Seonwoo Jae Duck also star in the drama.

Rainbow Rose will be aired every Thursday for six weeks, starting September 6.
