I'll start... My professor is a fucking cunt... I asked her last week if I could do the 4th exam early since I'm gonna be traveling before the semester ends .. And she told me that I didn't need to do it since she decided to drop 1 out of the 4 and I did really well in the first 3.. Just now she changed her mind and the 4th exam is now mandatory... I am so fucking pissed I already got my plane tickets and everything based on her word and she's not budging ... She's still gonna give the test and will not let me do it earlier ... I just don't know what to do right now

I just had two papers due this week and I have a 14 page paper due on monday. Since I've been working on the other papers I haven't had time to work on the 14 page paper one so I'm dying rn. Then after that paper is due I have a project that involves making a 2 minute commercial and a presentation due the same day. Then to top off the semester I have a 8 page paper, a 7 page paper, and a 10 page paper due over the course of 3 days, along with 3 finals to study for. I'm dying inside :-)

In just two days, the entrance exam for the enriched math and science courses in one of the best high schools here are going to be held and I'm FREAKING out because

 

a) my math teacher says that only geniuses can pass

b) I'm in the eight grade, and complexed questions on the Pythagorean theorem are going to be on the entrance test? DAFUQ?

c) there's no way for me to study besides looking back at what I learned from gr.7 and 8. 

d) I don't have access to the math and science textbooks from last year so i have to resort to Khan Academy. Fuck.

 

This so-called practice quesitons from the website don't help either.

After I finish my pre-clerkship classes, I'll be heading into hard core study mode during winter break to study for my licensing exam. 

It's the one exam that will actually determine what type of specialty I can go into in the future

It's ridiculous how all the other Steps afterwards don't matter as long as you pass, and how good you are at remembering every little detail about every single disease from every single system predicts what type of medical field you'll go into

I took the ACT and I did bad, my GPA should be 4.5 but it isn't because I'm a messy mess, and I don't get Algebra 2. Basically I'm failing at life because AICE classes are too much. School is stressing me out so much y'all. I hope all of us find strength to keep going.

Ugh yeah, it's bullshit that an average Step 1 can bar you from the really competitive specialties no matter how hard you ace relevant clerkships and any sub-I's.

 

Anyway it's really good to see some other older person on here...these people stressing about the SAT and APs make me feel like a granny.
