I think that's prob why I liked watching historicals more before it's more than just love story love story rich chaebol love story... I'd totally watch some intensive shit like this.. D-Day & The Village** are so far from basic love stories it's almost too much to hope for it to be a new trend. but on the supernatural front, they have done popular love stories that center around that fact. Gu Family Book & My Girlfriend is a Gumiho both rely on characters that aren't fully human (ironically enough, Lee Seunggi started in both). Rooftop Prince involves time travel & reincarnation. Secret Garden involves body switching. that's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are many more. part of the problem is that different parts of the world have had different mythical/supernatural beings. what is common in the west wasn't necessary common in the east and vice versa. ** - to be fair, the village doesn't really have a love story at the moment, but it could go there...just not sure yet...
