Mogwai 15,203 Posted November 10, 2015 Share Posted November 10, 2015 A former manager from B2M Entertainment is on trial for charges of embezzling money from the artists he was representing. The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Economic Crime Investigation Team Two announced that they indicted Mr. Jun on suspicion of embezzlement. According to the prosecution, Mr. Jun worked as the general manager of B2M Entertainment in 2013. As the manager, he signed a contact with K Star Net and with Heo Young Saeng to produce a pictorial and to receive half of the proceeds in return. Mr. Jun received the payment through his personal account and spent it on his personal use. He is charged with embezzling about 85,340,000 won (approximately $74,000) of proceeds belonging to the agency’s artists at eight different times through September of 2014. Heo Young Saeng has since changed agencies and is now a part of CI ENT. Current B2M Entertainment artists include Eric Nam, Nicole, Spica, and Kim Kyu Jong. I just have a hard time understanding how he managed to embezzle the artists' performance fees on over 8 occasions over the past 9 months. Well I'm glad they eventually caught on. Can B2M artists have some good luck from now on? + better, more cohesive promo as well as better staff members across the board, especially since this happened. Not only do their PR and marketing team suck, but their management overall is a complete mess. But I hear that their company was bought/acquired by another? I thought so too at first and that may have been the goal initially but its really just some type of partnership deal between B2M and CJ E&M. The thing is CJ E&M can very well acquire B2M if they really wanted to. They do it all the time and known for absorbing companies, but they held off on B2M for some reason.
