so, is it safe to say UPRS 2 was a failure?

None of the tracks have topped the charts or have had explosive downloads. And none were really all that great either tbvh. The songs this season have done worst than any songs from most seasons of SMTM. None have reached #1. Not even the one with Chanyeol featuring.

hopefully mnet won't try to bring it back and will actually allow females to get past the second phase of auditions in SMTM, because plenty of the girls who were eliminated from that show so early could have made it a little farther imo. i hate the fact that they had to make a separate show where you have to be  invited  for the girls tbh.

It just sucked tbh. Jessi, cheetah and the rest were worth watching on S1 cause they were interesting and funny~ the others were such a bore and everything this time looked scripted lmao what a disaster

Honestly, it did fail. If the dumb ass PD's didn't fuck up with the unjust eliminations and stopped with the shitty ass songs that were produced the morning before filming, it would've been fine. But knowing mnet, they just had to fuck everything up

It was. People will obviously try to deny it but this season was the worst out of both SMTM and UPR.

I mean, the editing and bullshit in 4 was worse than it'd ever been. But the ratings and song sales puts every other season to shame too.

Not counting that the season's talent was also way better all around.

i'm going to bet that either yezi's or yubin's semi-final track will do well

yezi has hanhae, which may mean chart success

yubin has that urban zakapa girl, which is a huge legitimacy boost

Korea just doesn't care for female hip-hop. All of Jimin's singles post UPRS flopped, Jessi flopped, Cheetah flopped. The UPRS2 girls will be no different.

i'm 63% sure that yezi's gonna release a full version of crazy dog in her solo album (it may be her title track idk), and that track (at the very least) will chart decently

Cheetah and Jessi actually didn't flop, tho. tv appearances galore and pretty okay charting with their respective digital singles a few months after the show isn't flopping imo. and they're both still a hot topic in korea right now. Cheetah gets so many photoshoots and she's even popular enough to have her on channel on the naver V app.

and kisum's two digital singles did okay too. definitely a major improvement for all three of them considering how they were completely unknown before.

But uprs 2 has only accomplished getting Truedy hated internationally and in korea because of her attitude....
