Not at all but then again I don't make a big deal out of it or take it seriously when I talk about it with my friends. Also it's not a subject that takes over my social life and feels more like a hobby. It's kind of similar to reading celebrity gossip on the internet, for example.

My mom watches anime with me lol anime is timeless

About kpop a lot of fans of older kpop groups like tvxq bb snsd suju are around that age which is pretty normal

I am proudly introduce Kpop to my family and my nephews and tell them my favorite idol and groups.

And just awhile ago, me and my nephew was obsessed watching One Piece together for weeks LMAO (I dont really watch anime but I do once awhile; I prefer watching Asian series).

They dont really judging. Music is for life like K-drama/C-drama--it is for all age. I can still see myself listening to some Kpop groups that I love in my 30's or 40's (but likely listen more to music that not heavily with dancing/pop, I guess more Mandopop stuff than Kpop and just casual listener    ) although I may not into a fandom anymore.

I have gotten snarky comments from a few people but these are the type that only like "cool" things such as worshiping the kardashians. Other than that most 20+ people i know watch anime, not a big deal.

I usually just say i like Big Bang and EXO instead of saying i'm a kpop fan.

Not with anime. Most of my friends are 20+ year olds who I met at cons as a kid and grew up with. Plus, the older anime fans tend to be a lot more chill where I live.

Kpop on the other hand...If I had a nickel for every time someone side eyed me for "listening to boy bands"...I usually just say "I listen to a band called SHINee" to hide my power level.

My parents and my sister make fun of me for liking K-pop and watching "cartoons" at 20, and when I bought SNSD's albums, they laughed and told me I'm silly.

Some of my friends know I'm a big SNSD fan, and they'd make fun of me every now and then.

But I mostly keep my interests to myself, I don't really share it with anyone.

Not really, but even though I don't hide it, I also don't talk about it a lot. I don't feel weird about being out of my teens and still liking Kpop. I guess since I've been a Suju fan for so long and there are even quite a few fans of Suju and TVXQ who are in their 30s.

At Kcon this year there was a lady wearing a shirt that said something like "Proud 53 year old ELF." I think it's silly to expect people to stop liking something that they enjoy because they reach some arbitrary age.

Sort of, I had some people told me that anime is for kids since it's cartoons  but I also have a lot of friends over 25 that watch anime as me so it's not much of a problem.

Real live I don't know anyone who even knows what kpop is (except some of my family and my best friend) other than gangnam style, my friends don't really judge me for listening to kpop; I get judged more often for listening to metal than kpop.

I'm 34 and watch anime and listen to Jpop and Kpop...And I still read mangas. There is no age limit to the things you love doing and those that want to put you in a capsule just to make themselves feel better, are the losers.  and no one has made fun of me for that.

I'm 25 too. Hmm I tend not to actually mention liking kpop because it wouldn't necessarily come up in most contexts and also most people wouldn't understand because they're not familiar with kpop as a concept at all lol.

I do sometimes casually mention it to closer friends (when I need to explain why I barely slept the night before after doing a k-drama marathon, or when they casually see my youtube history while borrowing my laptop lol). They find it odd, but more in a peculiar/unexpected/funny way rather than a judgemental way (then again I never saw the reaction of someone I am not quite close to lol).

I think in this day and age it's pretty normal for people to like different genres, styles and more occult things that the internet/Youtube made more accessible. I like k-pop, but I also like british rock, classical music, mainstream pop songs, traditional music from my country etc, and I think that's a good thing.
