"hamsta x"  :hurr:

They can if they can manage to get Monsta X and their upcoming new girl group to become really popular and continue releasing bops that S.Korea will love. But honestly why are people so obsessed with the 'Big 3" it's more about the impact they had in K-pop. Not about how much they sold.  :donthinkso:

Big 3 is called the big 3 for their involvement in being the founders of legendary premier kpop groups/making the Hallyu Wave bigger during the time when it really mattered. SM had H.O.T, JYP had GOD, and DSP had Sech Kies. YG was added afterwards as he was a well recognized member of the Seo Taji and Boys. They also started to become recognized as a hip hop company as they released groups like 1TYM, Jinusean and Keep Six. Then came groups like Wonder Girls, KARA, TVXQ, etc. who added to the companies prestige until DSPs eventually fall and YGs status update with Big Bang. The rest is history.

Except in this day in age the Big 3 is defined by the top most successful companies in the industry, sooo

Stqarship doesn't know how to build strong fandoms and the perk of being an idol in the big 3 is there is a 100% chance your group will achieve some sort of success. Even if the success isn't EXO levels, the group will get promo ect. But Starship's only really huge success story is SISTAR. Boyfriend was a flop but Monsta X still has time, I guess.

Starship belongs to LOEN. LOEN is the biggest entertainment company. So this is a stupid statement. LOL

Loen Entertainmen... 1.89T

YG Entertainment Inc 732.32B

S.M. ENTERTAINMEN...  971.19B

Yeah except Loen's primary business isn't being an entertainment company, so it isn't comparable.

I was commenting on how the name "Big 3" came about lol. If we were to measure by success then JYP has already lost its prestige (tho it's still very high up). Plus if we are considering Starship then FNC would be a viable candinate too.

Wait...who left JYP in the dust? What company's rookie groups are doing better than Got7 and Twice?

I changed my statement lol as I realized that I misused some word. They're still doing very well but as non of their groups are considered top tier currently, imo that makes them less deserving of the title "Big 3" if we were to talk in success right now as u seem to want too. They still are considered the big three tho cause of their involvement in spreading Hallyu as I talked about in my first post.

I know, but there really aren't too many top tier groups when you think about it.

BIGBANG- YG

EXO- SM

SNSD- SM

2NE1- YG

SISTAR- Starship

But the rest of Starship's groups are flops. JYP still has several mid tier acts like WG, Miss A, Suzy, 2PM, and Got7 to keep them afloat. They might not be the best, but they're leagues ahead of the other companies bel9ow the Big 3.

True. I think Got7 can climb up with a hit song tho. Twice too since they seem heavily anticipated. Let's see how Monsta X does too lol.
