Are You Sure Girls Generation Will Release English Album?

Whoever answers "yes" is lying, since no one (other than SM) can be "sure" of this.

Even the Soshi members themselves can't be sure; they may even have gone as far as having recorded some English songs, but the decision whether the album will be released or not is not theirs to make.

No. Why do fans of a Korean Pop group even want an English album? I don't know, that just boggles my mind. Why are you even a fan of a K-Pop group if an English album is "the one thing you've been waiting for"

Because they've been hyping it for years. If they never said they were going to do it, I doubt people would be waiting for it. You don't see ELF waiting for an English album the way Sones and BJs are. They'll never come after the great success of BoA, Wonder Girls, and Se7en's American adventures.

2NE1 and YG have been hyping up an English album, but since will.i.am has found someone that is willing to release his shit (Britney), he's dropped 2NE1 faster than Do You Love Me/Falling In Love dropped down the charts. While SM hasn't done anything to the scale YG has done, maybe 2011/2012 with The Boys and US promotions but it's calmed down since then.

If you're waiting for an English album from SNSD or any other K-Pop group. Stop.

Why the fuck not. Americans love Hyo and would love her even more if they knew she could spit some bars.

I'm not that familiar with Japanese K-Pop fans but I don't think they're as thirsty for an album in their language than people who want one in English. Not every idol wants to debut in the US either, I mean, why would they want to after BoA, Utada and Rain, some of the biggest acts in Asia, all failed miserably.

It's easier to make ~$$$~ in Japan than it is the US.

Because they can make actual money in Japan when they can't even make a living in Korea. >.>

I don't think it's about wanting a album/song in their own language. Most fans could care less what language it's in and still listen or buy the album.   I do think it is about money and also branching out tho. And media play... you know.. to make a buzz.  Something different.  I doubt most of these kpop groups/artists will continue to do more than one Eng. album.  It's kind of like another notch to put under their belt sorta thing.  "Been there.. done that." Even if it turns out bad. I don't think it's their goal  to meet the same level of success as they have in Asia.

Because sones and myself want SNSD to succeed in the US which is also a venture that SNSD (mainly Tiffany) wants themselves. And a US wont cut it, an English album will bring better chances.

I doubt it will happen, im not putting any hopes up, but I think it can.

Jin Akinishi succeeded tho. Even though hes still relatively unknown it was a good result for a debut with 6 digit sales. However SNSD has a much further fanbase and reckoning in SNSD, so I doubt it will be a miserable fail. Plus their 2011/2012 promotions was not as active as laugh & gulls yet it got like 26K for 5 bootlegged and lacklaster remixes and bad english.

girls-generation-letterman.png = potential success

snsd+david+letterman.jpg

None of the others people got this much attention. Add a US tour and full english album = millions of boners, $$$$$$$$ and foothold. Sales will easily outsell Jin Akinishi.

If Britdroid wanted SNSD to come over to US would you let?

Creepy old men getting hard for a bunch of pretty Asian women. Sounds a lot like a fetish in the US, and the demographic SM and every other K-Pop company targets in Korea.

Degrading and I don't support it x

You dont need a fetish for that.
