"My deep hatred for Group Projects" | An experience

I despise group projects dear lord why do colleges have to have that as a percentage of grades. Like fucking BS. The guy I'm partnered with hasn't answered any of my e-mails and our project is due tomorrow. Like everyone else in the class has 4 or more  partners, one of my partners dropped the class right before our first test and now this guy missed class during our first project and I got shit for it... now we have this ppt due tomorrow and he hasn't even started it. I asked him to start it off and I would finish it, but now he wont answer me. I even sent him and e-mail to text me... like. ..  :soul:

My professor is back in another country due to family emergency so what idk what to do. I'm dealing with two tests right now and I have and this project I didn't even start yet... idk what to do... I am usually the one on top of my shit but doing this whole project alone pisses me off and I have to work today ... so I'm fucked meaning I have to do this all by myself tonight after work.. I don't get home till 11 and in the morning til' 2 when class starts... and if he doesnt show up I'll be doing the whole project alone and I hate public speaking :( ... I'm so stressed and pissed....

WHY DO COLLEGES do this and pair people with people that don't give a fuck.

after that i made sure such thing won't happen to me anymore.i can't sit down and tolerate that

in the future employers want you to be able to work well with a team, so teachers/professors are trying to prepare you for that throughout your schooling. but it doesn't change the fact that working with other students 90% of the time is a god damn pain in the ass, some people are so undependable. i've only enjoyed working in a group like twice before when everyone was actually competent and contributed something.

good luck op

I like group projects when all the people within my group are competent and each one is holding responsibility of what was decided for him to do, whereas those group projects where persons are being too loose, no pls thnx

Yeah I know :( .... but I am always the one pulling weight in projects. Like I always end up with a jock the ones that don't know 2+2 and  jokes 24/7 or I always have the ghost person that never shows up til due day.... I've always had terrible experiences with group projects. I love team work its helpful but its only fun as you said when everyone is contributing.

Thanks... I just hope he answers soon

I am still dealing with this semester's group drama.

still not over, and I lost one of my best friends over it...

bleeeeh

damn. see group projects are stressful because anything can happen someone can drop the class or even get sick or you could fall out over it and your grades and friendships can be ruined over it... its just :/

Tell your professor for sure because for you to do all the work or most of it and she show up due day like I'm here isn't fair and she cant tell you why she busy... like :/ that pisses me off

The same thing will happen once you enter the workforce too OP, duties will get relegated to you while your seniors take credit for it.

Office politics ~

OH BOY, so happy for that. I have a job after  this semester and I already know  :derp: i've been told. Not happy

When I have to do group projects I usually do them with my friends. The problem is their average marks are way lower than mine, and I won't let them lower my mark, so even tho we divide the work amongst all of us I end up answering the most difficult questions, correcting everything they write, etc. Basically without me they would have mediocre projects, and it's me that has to bring the level up. Last time I trusted this girl to look up information for one thing and after giving in the project I discovered the information was wrong. They can't even do that.

Yes, group projects are pain in the ass. That's why in our class if there's a group project we always suggest to our professor that we're going to group with our friends. It is better to work with friends, the only problem is that if the project isn't going too well it can also affect the relationship. But sometimes even you divide the work within the group, others would give the wrong answer and you end up doing it again. Atleast I haven't been with someone who complains a lot and do nothing, because hell I don't know what would I do with them.
