g.o.d releases MV teaser for 'Saturday Night' comeback!

 

 

After literally years of anticipation, Korea's legacy boy group g.o.d has returned from the annals of K-Pop history to make a new mark on this generation with 'Saturday Night'!

 

Re-uniting the members once more, 'Saturday Night' seems to mix g.o.d's traditional style with contemporary pop music. The full title track, along with their 8th album, will be released on July 8 at midnight KST - stay tuned for more!

g.o.d's Son Ho Young reveals why he had attempted to commit suicide

On the recent airing of MBC's 'Documentary Special - 5-Member g.o.d's Return,' g.o.d member Son Ho Young shared with viewers one of the toughest moments in his life: when he attempted to commit suicide. 

 

Back when g.o.d went on hiatus, Son Ho Young, who was still passionate for music and being on stage, started his own voyage as a solo artist. However, he revealed that he had realized there was not one thing that he excelled at and most people only paid attention to him for his fit body. 

 

Son Ho Young recounted his past feelings and said, "When I was performing as a solo artist, all that people said was, 'Son Ho Young show us your stomach.' Even when I was doing an interview for a newspaper, they were asking me to show my stomach. I wasn't sure what to think of this and that's when I started to wander." 

 

He continued, "There was no one around me. There was no one to hold me. So I thought, 'What's this?' The shock was even bigger. I was someone who was up here (in terms of popularity) and yet I wondered why no one was holding their hands out for me." 

 

And as Son Ho Young continued to have hopeless thoughts, it was not long after that he decided to end his life. Back in May, 2013, it was reported that g.o.d's Son Ho Young had attempted to commit suicide shortly after his girlfriend had committed suicide. 

 

In the documentary, Kim Tae Woo added, "When we went (to the hospital), Son Ho Young had a respirator while he was laying down. I went with Yoon Kye Sang and Danny Ahn. Park Joon Hyung was in the States. Song Ho Young held our hands and said, 'Let's get together as g.o.d.'"

 

Son Ho Young then revealed that when he had opened his eyes again, he was thankful that he was still alive and thought about g.o.d, the one thing that he missed the most. He then added that his members were the only ones who provided him strength when he had nothing. 

 

Yoon Kye Sang told, "After what happened and what Son Ho Young said while holding our hands, everything else became irrelevant. Nothing else mattered. It's the best when your family is next to you when you are in need and it's also the best when you live altogether. I realized that we were family."

g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung reported to be dating a woman thirteen years younger

 

 

 

Recently, g.o.d member Park Joon Hyung (45) had been hinting on various shows such as 'SNL Korea' and 'Roommate' that he was currently in a relationship.  According to an exclusive report by Sports Donga, it appears that he is indeed seeing someone!

 

The article claimed that Park Joon Hyung was currently in a one-year relationship with a flight attendant thirteen years his junior based on statements from an entertainment rep, who also claimed the girlfriend was good wife material.  The rep revealed that the woman was considerably beautiful and polite, got along with everybody thanks to her good nature, and was an excellent cook.

 

Park Joon Hyung stated in a November broadcast of 'Roommate' in regards to his girlfriend, "Her personality matches extremely well with mine.  She is generous with her laughs.  She has an easygoing personality and doesn't care what other people think about her.  That is why I like her quite a lot."

 

According to the report, he has already introduced her to his family with whom she is getting along well and spending a lot of time.  The rep stated that seeing the two raised expectations for a possible marriage.  "The affection the two show for each other and the trust they have in each other are considerable," the rep said.

g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung has confirmed that he is currently in a relationship with a stewardess who is thirteen years younger.

 

On December 4, a representative of Park Joon Hyung revealed to OSEN, "It is correct that Park Joon Hyung is dating a stewardess and they've been together for around a year now. She is a lady who is known to have exceptional beauty and is mannerly with a great personality." 

 

Although the two have been dating for quite a while now, it is uncertain that they will get married as it was revealed by the representative that they haven't really discussed the topic of marriage.

Danny Ahn went to see Kim Tae Woo's two daughters Soyool and Jiyool with his niece Raina. Kim Tae Woo's family planned to surprise Danny Ahn and his niece in superhero costumes, but was flustered when Danny Ahn and Raina didn't flinch.

Soyool, who previously chose her g.o.d uncles over her dad, showed love to Danny Ahn once again, stirring the jealousy of Kim Tae Woo. They made her choose between Kim Tae Woo and Danny Ahn, making viewers curious on who Soyool will pick this time. Danny Ahn also became gradually overwhelmed by the difficulties of childcare.

A rep recently revealed to Ilgan Sports, "The couple visited Tokyo, Japan from the 27th to 29th... Following the finale of her drama 'Modern Farmer', Honey Lee took a break from filming her follow-up drama 'Shine or Go Crazy' to end the year with her boyfriend Yoon Kye Sang."

 

A rep from their agency Saram Entertainment revealed, "After talking with them, it is true that they went [to Japan]. It was nothing more than a vacation together. It has nothing to do with marriage or anything else for that matter."

g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung opens up about a traumatic experience he had at the age of 10

 

 

Although g.o.d's tough rapper Park Joon Hyung is known for his manly exterior, he talked during the January 13 broadcast of SBS's 'Roommate' about a time he found himself vulnerable and victimized.

 

He opened up about a time he was assaulted by his friends when he was ten years old, an incident which caused him to become claustrophobic.  

 

He said, "I feel frustrated when I'm in closed space like [under] a blanket.  It's hard for me when I'm put in a situation in which I'm in small space."  He recalled a time when he was ten.  After he played under a blanket with his friends, he was going back home when his friends wrapped him up in the blanket and beat him up.  As he was wrapped up in the blanket, he couldn't get out.

 

He said, "At the time, racial discrimination was severe," as he grew up in California.  He continued, "After that happened, I got a phobia regarding closed spaces."

Honey Lee talks about getting strength from boyfriend Yoon Kye Sang

 

 

Actress Honey Lee attended the press conference for MBC's 'Shine or Go Crazy' on January 15 at the Golden Mouth Hall, where she talked about her boyfriend, g.o.d's Yoon Kye Sang.  

 

When asked whether Yoon Kye Sang showed his support for her when she started working on her new production, she said, "He always supports me.  Honestly, I think we talk more about our hardships than the good things that happen.  He's an oppa who stays with me when I'm having a hard time, but he feels like a friend.  As an actress, I feel a wall, so I tell him a lot about my difficulties.  Whenever I feel that wall, Yoon Kye Sang gives me strength."

Because he had gained so much weight after getting married, he decided to go on a diet with his youngest daughter, who had been deemed an overweight toddler. After his 'diet', Kim Tae Woo stepped onto the scale that the staff had produced and exclaimed, "Oh~ I lost weight! I was 107.5 kg (237 lbs) but now I'm 106.8kg (235.5 lbs)!"

 

Of course, he admitted that he had to work harder on his diet because losing 700 grams (1.5 pounds) was not what he was aiming for. He promised, "I'll control what I eat from now on and go excersise as well."

g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung has signed on with SidusHQ for his solo activities!

 

g.o.d previously left JYP Entertainment, and worked with SidusHQ until their 'Chapter 5' album in 2002. SidusHQ also took charge of g.o.d's comeback last year in honor of their 15th anniversary. Park Joon Hyung has now officially signed on with the agency again after 13 years.

 

The agency's management rep stated, "Following g.o.d's reunion in honor of their 15th anniversary, the oldest hyung Park Joon Hyung returned to the SidusHQ family after 13 years. As much as he was one of our original members, we will give our endless support for Park Joon Hyung's activities. We ask for a lot of love and support."

g.o.d fans criticize Cube Entertainment over BTOB's official color + protest using T.P.

 

 

On January 22, a fangod (g.o.d fan) posted to the Nate community board explaining that fangods were protesting against Cube Entertainment, accusing the agency of using g.o.d's official color for BTOB's.
 

The post reads, "I think many people think of the artist's official color as a fandom's identity. There are a limited number of colors, but these days, third generation idols are using different ways to declare their own colors."
 

The fangod continued, "For 16 years, we (fangods) used 'sky blue' as the official color, but I recently found out that BTOB's official color is written as 'slow blue,' and realized that it's difficult to distinguish between [the colors] 'slow blue' and 'sky blue.' fangods have been contacting Cube Entertainment to change the group's official color, but Cube has cut off  contact and given an evasive response."
 

He/she continued to post evidence pointing to fangods and Melodies (BTOB fans) using the same fan colors. He/she also showed that according to the Information Technology and Standardization Center's Standard Digital Palette, BTOB's "slow blue" hexadecimal color code #42B4E6 was nonexistent while g.o.d's "sky blue" color was easy to find. He/she thus accused Cube of using sky blue as BTOB's color and simply renaming it to "slow blue."

 

 

 

 

g.o.d fans have protested against Cube Entertainment by leaving hoards of boxes at their company building. The boxes contain toilet paper as well as letters detailing their complaints.

 

 

 

Some fangods believe g.o.d member Danny Ahn posted the following Instagram update to support fangods' fight against Cube Entertainment. The post contains the color of sky blue along with the caption, "16 years of tradition." Danny Ahn later deleted the picture.

 

 

Netizens seem to generally agree with fangods with comments saying, "Don't they know not to touch first generation idol colors: white, yellow, sky blue, and orange?", "Isn't that just sky blue? This is my first time hearing of slow blue," and, "I'm a Melody.... I'm so tired constantly fighting with other fans over an official color…. TT Honestly, the color name is just 'slow blue' but it's actually 'sky blue'.... I honestly just want BTOB's color to change so that BTOB is no longer in trouble because of their official color…. Danny Ahn encourages g.o.d and BTOB fans to resolve matters surrounding the official fanclub color peacefully 

 

 

Danny Ahn has stepped up to clarify the meaning behind his previous post on Instagram, which fans believed he had posted to support g.o.d fans' protest against Cube Entertainment for allegedly using the same color as g.o.d's for BTOB's official color. 

 

 

In his new post, he explained that the previous post, seen above, was meant to simply celebrate g.o.d's 16th anniversary. He also expressed his wishes for the situation to be resolved peacefully and for both sides to try to be more understanding of each other. 

 

His new Instagram post, as seen below, states, "Like how it is now, the official color was an important symbol that represented the artists and fans in the past~ That is why one feels such attachment and pride towards [the color]. Everyone has something that they hold dear to their hearts, and try to protect that. But the message that I'm trying to convey might mean something else to someone else, and if our thoughts are different, it would be difficult to understand each other. But even though it might be difficult to understand one another, I don't think that it's something that can't be achieved. If we could try to understand each other, even if it's only a little, couldn't we all have a better relationship. Wouldn't that be nice~ I hope everything gets resolved well because they're hoobaes who were produced by a hyungnim who cares about g.o.d and is someone I respect. Also, I had done that (put up the previous post) to instill pride in you all for our 16th anniversary, but I guess I myself had a lot of thoughts during the past few days as well~ We've been through a lot up until now, and resolved things well with wisdom. Park Joon Hyung reveals Yoon Kye Sang once fainted after getting in trouble with J.Y. Park

 

 

Park Joon Hyung recalled a time his fellow g.o.d member, Yoon Kye Sang, fainted after getting in trouble with J.Y. Park.

 

He said, "If J.Y. Park would tell us to practice, each of us would practice separately in his room. One time, Yoon Kye Sang got so nervous and had a very hard time because it didn't turn out well and got in trouble even though he worked hard. He couldn't overcome the stress, and fainted, leaving J.Y. Park so surprised. After that, J.Y. Park treated Yoon Kye Sang really well."

 

His fellow member, Danny Ahn, who appeared on the show, added, "From then on, he didn't yell at Yoon Kye Sang."

 

Listening to this, JYP Entertainment's current artist GOT7's Jackson brought laughs as he said, "Should I faint, too?" to which Danny Ahn told him that the timing of it has to be right. "Yoon Kye Sang fainted before we recorded the first album. So it's already too late for you," he said humorously.

 

When asked if J.Y. Park ever complimented him, Park Joon Hyung said, "I think I got two compliments up to now."

Kim Tae Woo and wife to welcome third baby!

 

Singer Kim Tae Woo and his wife Kim Ae Ri will be welcoming their third child!

 

The two already have two beautiful daughters, and Kim Ae Ri is currently 12 weeks pregnant with their third baby. She told Osen on March 6, "I'm entering my 12th week of pregnancy. I wanted to relay the message at a slow pace, but it became news earlier than intended." 

The family is currently featured on SBS' variety program 'Oh! My Baby', and she commented on their future on the show, "It hasn't been decided how long we'll be filming. We have to discuss it with the producers."

Kim Tae Woo and Kim Ae Ri were married in December of 2011 and are parents to daughters So Yool and Ji Yool.

g.o.d to make a comeback this year

 

 

Original idol group g.o.d will be making a comeback this year!

Though details have yet to be revealed, g.o.d's reps revealed on June 16, "g.o.d will be releasing a new song this year. They'll even hold a year-end concert. However, details have yet to be confirmed." We last saw g.o.d promoting their 8th ever album 'Chapter 8', which did very well on music charts. Fans will have to wait to see whether they'll be coming back with a single or another full album.

Singer Kim Tae Woo revealed that his wife is currently pregnant with their third child!

As viewers of 'Oh! My Baby' may know, Kim Tae Woo is currently the father of two baby girls, and he revealed that they'll be adding a boy to the family! Kim Tae Woo shared at his showcase for his upcoming full-length album 'T-ROAD' on June 17, "I went to the gynecologist with my wife this morning."

He continued, "We weren't going to ask, but we ended up asking what the sex of our third child is. Thank you. I'm a father of a daughter, daughter, son. I'm going to work even harder. I have everything now."

In other news, 'T-ROAD' will be out on the 18th. Congratulations to Kim Tae Woo and his family!

g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung held a press conference for his wedding at the Imperial Palace Hotel on June 26 and spared no compliments for his fiancee before tying the knot.

 

He revealed how he decided on wedding her, stating, "My girlfriend is of course pretty. When I first saw her, I thought she looked pretty.  Apart from her appearance, she does not pay attention to other people's views on her and smiles widely when she's happy. She really can't dance, but she enjoys dancing without being aware of other people.  That was very pretty.

 

"I liked her lack of pretense.  Apart from her pretty looks, I don't mesh well with fake people and she's not fake.  In addition, America does not have titles, but my girlfriend calls me 'oppa,' which is cute."

 

The two wed at the hotel with Kim Tae Woo overseeing the ceremony and g.o.d singing the congratulatory song.

Regarding how the couple first met, Kim Ae Ri told the magazine, "I first met [Tae Woo] at a meal gathering an acquaintance invited me to about 4 months after I returned to Korea. I couldn't even tell if he was the real singer Kim Tae Woo because his hat was so low over his face. But then he suddenly brought me a CD and signed it for me." 

 

The interview also asked which of the g.o.d members would be next in line to marry to which the vocalist answered, "I feel like Kye Sang hyung will be next. I don't know how the others feel about it, but you never know with people. Everyone asks about marriage. Jjoon [Park Joon Hyung] hyung, who recently got married, even asks about marriage. A marriage is reality, so we try to give him our honest opinions on the ups and downs of it." 

 

Lastly, the singer and father mentioned, "I want to make my family happy, always. I want my children to grow up well, and I want them to have a positive outlook on life. I plan on doing everything I can to maintain a positive, bright living environment for them."
