g.o.d (지오디) is an acronym for Groove Over Dose. A group consisting of five members, Park Joon Hyung, Yoon Kye Sang, Ahn Danny, Son Ho Young, and Kim Tae Woo, g.o.d debuted in January 1999 under the management of JYP (Park Jin Young).

Yoon Kye Sang left g.o.d on after the 5th album and then they were disbanded after their 7th album. The departure of Yoon Kye Sang created a misunderstanding between them. It was solved on his show, Yoon Kye Sang's One Table on 2012. In 2013, Son Ho Young stated that they weren't disbanded, they were just on temporary hiatus and hinted for a possible reunion.

H.J.g.R, made up of members of each legendary 90s idol group, H.O.T, Sechskies, g.o.d, and NRG, has released an official teaser for “You Can Do It†(“May I Love You“)!

H.J.g.R is actually a project group formed for the show ‘Handsome Boys of the 20th Century‘, in which Tony An (H.O.T), Moon Hee Jun (H.O.T), Chun Myung Hoon (NRG), Eun Ji Won (Sechskies), and Danny Ahn (g.o.d) star in.

The former idols reminisced back to the 90s as they came together to shoot a music video as part of their TV show, and it seems they’re set to officially release the song as well!

they did, before the statement that she is commit suicide. when the first news broke, SHY was already on police station and questioned right away. therefore the official statement from police and SHY came quite fast from the first news to the updated one..

Son Ho Young attends his girlfriend's wake and funeral

 

Son Ho Young had a difficult time leaving his girlfriend's wake.

 

On May 22 at 9AM, he attended his girlfriend's wake which was held at the Medical Funeral Hall in Gangnam, and he remained there for the entire day. Witnesses say he was dressed in black for the wake, and seemed to have lost a lot of weight in the short time since the news of his girlfriend's death. The funeral hall employees refused all entry to anyone else who was not family.

 

One of the employees said, "He is incredibly sad. We don't know how long he will be there." Another reported that only a few family members are staying at the hall.

 

He also stayed by his girlfriend's side for her funeral on May 23, which was held at Seoul Memorial Park in Wonji-dong.

According to the police, at 4:36 AM, Son Ho Young parked his car at a parking lot near Onnuri Church, Seoul and attempted to commit suicide in the same method as his girlfriend by lighting butane gas inside his car. The car caught on fire, and as the singer tried to back away from it, a passerby noticed the fumes coming out of the car and made a call to the police for help. He was then rushed to the hospital and was treated immediately, and is fortunately said to be fine with no damage to his health.

 

Prior to this incident, the singer attended the funeral for his girlfriend and stayed at the wake for the whole day.

 

His agency has stated that they're still checking into the matter, and for the sake of Son Ho Young as well as his loved ones, they're not sure if an official statement will be released at all regarding the matter.

According to the police, at 4:36 AM, Son Ho Young parked his car at a parking lot near Onnuri Church, Seoul and attempted to commit suicide in the same method as his girlfriend by lighting butane gas inside his car. The car caught on fire, and as the singer tried to back away from it, a passerby noticed the fumes coming out of the car and made a call to the police for help. He was then rushed to the hospital.

 

He'll be in the hospital for 2-4 days recovering not only his physical health, but his mental health as well. We hope for the best for Son Ho Young.

g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung asks the public to refrain from writing negative comments regarding Son Ho Young and the recent unfortunate events

g.o.d's, Park Joon Hyung expressed his heart following the unfortunate series of events that have recently surrounded his fellow former member, Son Ho Young. He wrote on his Twitter, "As you know, our Ho Young is having a really hard time right now. Seeing my dongseng like this and being unable to do anything as an older hyung, I feel pained."

He also asked the public of a favor as he continued, "All I can do for him now is pray and always be here for him no matter what. So please everyone, do that for him as well. And also, try to put yourself in the shoes of those who have been receiving pain fromthese events, and please refrain from writing comments that don't help the situation."

For the international fans, he added in English, "Everyone Please Pray 4 my brother Hoi & all the others who've been hurt by this incident & let him know we are ALL here 4 him ALWAYS~ We love you Ho Young".

Danny Ahn and Lee Sang Bong leave words of encouragement for Son Ho Young

 

 

Following the heartbreaking whirlwind of events that has happened to Son Ho Young in the past week, his close celebrities came forward to express their distraught at the unfortunate happenings and asked the public for their prayers. 

 

Fellow g.o.d member Danny Ahn tweeted on the morning of the 25th, "I saw my dongseng just the other night. Because we were both busy, I was only able to see him for a short time...Please pray for him more. A lot more."Danny Ahn has since deleted his tweet, possibly to show respect for Son Ho Young's privacy during this sensitive time. 

 

Designer Lee Sang Bong shared, "I was so shocked upon hearing news of Son Ho Young's suicide attempt. His unbearable pain and with the hurtful backlash, he would be hurting even more. My  heart hurts. Have courage, Son Ho Young! You have even more fans who love you."

Son Ho Young Still Under Suicide Watch and Won’t Be Released from Hospital

 

Here are some updates on Son Ho Young.

After his attempt at suicide, Son Ho Young has been admitted into the hospital and it is reported that he will need to be there for the rest of this week.

On May 29, Son Ho Young’s sources spoke with Hankyung.com’s WStarNews and said, “Son Ho Young is still in the hosptial, recovering,†and “Rather than a physical injury, the scars in his heart are very deep. He is not ready to be released from the hospital.â€

Son Ho Young was moved from the intensive care unit into a regular room. He is still not completely recovered from the burns, sleeping pills intake and gas inhalation.

Sources say, “Son Ho Young is still under suicide watch so it’ll probably be hard for him to resume activities once he is released.â€

Son Ho Young attempted suicide on May 24 after his girlfriend passed away in the same way.

CJ E&M Gives Official Statement, Reveals Son Ho Young Has Been Released from Hospital

 

 

On June 3, Son Ho Young‘s agency CJ E&M gave an official statement that informed the public that he has been released from the hospital.

 

Son Ho Young’s agency stated, “Son Ho Young was released from the hospital on June 1 and is home with his father. As much as you are worried for him, Son Ho Young will try to recover quickly but for a while, he will need time to straighten his heart and find stability.â€

 

They added, “He will temporarily fold all of his preparations for the album that was supposed to be released this summer and take some rest.â€

 

Previously, Son Ho Young attempted suicide after his girlfriend of 1 year committed suicide beforehand in his car.
