Alex Kurtzman will serve as executive producer for the new “Star Trek†TV series. Kurtzman co-wrote and produced the blockbuster films “Star Trek†(2009) with Roberto Orci, and “Star Trek Into Darkness†(2013) with Orci and Damon Lindelof. Both films were produced and directed by J.J. Abrams. The new series will be produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout. Kurtzman and Heather Kadin will serve as executive producers. Kurtzman is also an executive producer for the hit CBS television series “Scorpion†and “Limitlessâ€, along with Kadin and Orci, and for “Hawaii Five-O†with Orci." (source) Kurtzman and Orci. That could make it rather successful, but hardly something I'm looking forward to. Then again, the last TV installments were off-dozingly boring, so maybe it's the better choice. Andromeda was a better sci-fi show than Enterprise and it east even part of Star Trek. I'll probably end up checking it anyways. The Next Generation and Voyager are my favorite. TNG and DS9 were the high points of Star Trek and even then they could be very hit or miss. I personally wasn't a huge fan of Enterprise and Voyager.
