Do you?

Im not asking this for myself, i lost my v card quite a while ago and i have a bf.

Im asking this cause my friend is in this situation. She spent her 20s studying and she is an excellent expert in her area, but the fact that she spent her nights studying while others had partners and relationships is affecting her.

She recently met a guy and it was all nice until he found out she is a virgin and told her she is weird because who else is a virgin in these years. She didnt want to have anything else with him but it affected her self esteem.

Whats your opinion?

It is still normal in Asian country for women has sex after marriage only (but alot married in young age atleast in my country), so NO to me.

That guy is stupid for not appreciating that she is V and pretty much save from those virus if they decided to do it. He is a lucky dude but he doesn't know it

no. people do whatever and lost their virginity when they are ready and want to do it and not because they have to do like the others or because they're scared to be "late" or uncool or some stupid reason like this.

that guy was stupid, your friend should be with someone who respect her and not judge her. tell her she shouldn't worry about this.

No, people are such judgmental fucking cunts tho so I can see why someone would feel it is.

Honestly if she cares so much about other people's opinions on it she should just lie.  It ain't like they're going to be asking for proof.  And if they are....lol you know to run the other way.

No.

Everybody do whatever they want with their body. There's no shame in losing your virginity early, no shame in losing it later. Social pressure is a bitch, people should do whatever they want, whenever they feel it is the right time/right person.

It's probably not common, but not weird. That's a really rude thing for him to say tbh :\ Losing your virginity is something you do when the time is right. Clearly, her time hasn't come yet, and that's her business and no one else's to judge.

My opinion is that the guy is a bit of a tactless dick and your friend deserves better.

im glad to see your friend has enough self respect to ditch that guy. it's not common but it's not weird as "weird" has a negative connotation. Everybody has their own priority list, she has hers. She should be proud she stick to her own conviction. Your girl-friend is fine and tell her not to let it get to her.

Virginity is just a stupid concept. In western societies you're damned if you're a woman and haven't had sex and damned if you have.

It's a personal decision and she hasn't missed out on much of anything. The guy that told her that is trash.

It may not be common but she shouldn't feel bad about it. It means nothing.
