A bit early to say and a bit of a generalization too... I don't follow that thread, cause I don't like spoilers and my watching timing is off compared to airing times, but I'm a fan of both girls so yeah... There are not just one type of Ryujin fans and don't worry, there won't be only one type of Sujin fans either ^^'

There are enough spots in a 9 member lineup for both girls to make it (them and more of my biases like Soomin, Haerin, Hyunjin... I have more than 9 biases, lel ^^")

Little update on trainees, Idk if you remember but people were talking about a Gyuri (the one on the left on this video). I recently found that a Shin Gyuri (from One Take Academy, formerly FNC Academy Daegu) was accepted as a trainee back in May. The post from May only has her last name + age (00 liner)

 

 

But the academy recently posted something else with her full name, and it's from late October so I'm pretty sure she's still a Loen/Fave trainee

 

 

 

Which brings us to the Ranyoung/Haeun case, both are still trainees to me, as I said I think Loen didn't want to send girls (to Mixnine) that only trained at Loen for few months (i promise i'm not being delulu)

 

Talking about trainees, there's another girl that was on the letter they wrote to their vocal teacher

Soeun - Yujin

Jiin - Jiyoon

 

She said she was a trainee for 6 months, and the letter is from May

 

And on the letter for their english teacher's wedding, who said she trained for 6 months?

Tbh, I don't think Loen invested so much into Ranyoung at the beginning to just let her go (unless she decided to leave?) She was the only member we knew along Soomin and Soyeon, she went to the Kpop Star Friends concert with the girls when no other trainee went...

 

But if your theory is correct, the 11 girls who auditioned for mixnine are definitely not a set lineup. I did find Yerim the odd one out really, like she doesn't fit in with the rest. I would still love for her to debut with the group, but her aura and personality screams solo ballad singer to me^^' + Loen would have used her to promote the GG like they did with Soyeon and Soomin.

 

I guess we'll see^^

i think what could happen is one of these scenarios

1) a big group with ~15 members that will debut in 2018 (the less likely to happen i think)

2) 2 groups, one being an "idol" group (8-10 members) and the other a vocal group (with yerim), both debuting in 2018

3) 2 groups, both idol groups, with one debuting in 2018 (suhyun, soomin, soyeon, sujin, haerin, soeun, jiyoon i guess), and the other in 2020-21 (bowon, yujin, minseo and the unknown trainees)? + yerim debuting as the 2nd iu/baek a-yeon (and loen will have to promote her )

 

but if sujin/haerin/soomin are debuting with the mix9 gg in april (welp if the gg wins the show ) i guess their plans will change? idk

1) definitely no-no. A huge group has never worked for any company, 11 is considered ok since IOI, but as much as I like all the girls, anything more than 9 is really a stretch to me...

2) I don't think there are enough vocal members? Unless they're all in the trainees we don't know.

3) That seems the most realistic, 2 groups, but I'm not sure Bowon or Yujin would stay that long? 

 

I would have said Mixnine is sort of a test for Fave to select the members, but then again, they seem to care about Yujin not making it.

 

I still find it the weirdest there is no "old" trainee besides Soyeon in the 11. Considering the last Loen gg was Fiestar who debuted in 2012, and considering Soyeon joined Loen in 2013, they should have at least 3-4 girls who were meant to debut with Soyeon since forever, no? Like some girls could have left cause the debut was taking too long, but how is it possible Soyeon is the only one left?

I said Bowon because among the 8 on Mixnine she seems to be one of the less polished members (with Suhyun, but she has to debut next year lol), and we didnt see that much for Yujin (i can't believe i said i didnt want her to debut next year when she's my fav )

 

There's that P.O.P member who was a Loen trainee for sometimes, but she left, like Minah and all the other girls Sujin is the only "old" one and she only became a trainee in April 2016...

But at the same time, we don't know when Suhyun became a trainee (in 2015 or after), same for Minseo. All the others joined in 2016-2017...

Iirc Minseo did modeling and acting until the end of 2016 with that agency, I doubt she could be signed at Loen + there? I mean it's possible but unlikely? I'd say Minseo joined around the end of last year, beginning of this year...

Same for Suhyun, if look at the date of the online mall pictures, she probably joined Loen after that. 

 

As for the members, I think Soyeon, Soomin and Haerin have been set pre-Mixnine. Sujin probably secured her spot thanks to Mixnine.

Soeun and Jiyoon are polished enough to both make it as well.

Yujin, Suhyun, Bowon and Minseo seem like the ones who are on the balance, that is if the theory about having more trainees is correct.

And lastly Yerim is the mystery member. It would be amazing to have her, but at the same time, I don't think being an idol is her calling...

Jiyoon's voice is so nice! I still haven't watched the episode so I'm not sure why Suhyun chose rap... The performance didn't seem like her strong suit tbh ^^'

Soomin was amazing as usual, Soeun's dancing is so sharp! Minseo is a cutie^^ Bowon was born to be an idol, she knows exactly where to look for the camera xD and Sujin is really well rounded.

Overall, am i the only who feels our girls lack stage experience? Some seem to be counting for the steps, or forget they have a solo cam. Mixnine will definitely help with that^^

I'm really think Yerim joined the team performance for the sake of the show, but is training for a solo debut... Like I said, pre-mixnine, Soyeon and Soomin were being used a lot to promote the team as a whole, if Yerim was meant to be in the team, she would have been in the front line for promotion too. Her name would just attract a lot of curiosity and fans to the group, like Soyeon's or Soomin's does...

If my theory is correct, I'm definitely planning on following up on her as a solo act, her voice is just too amazing to ignore.

 

I haven't posted here in a while. My laptop crashed and well... using an old laptop now, but I have yet to catch up on a lot of stuff, especially mixnine episodes ^^' I'm glad Bowon is rising, I have a secret girl crush on her xD He charm sort of reminds me of Sana, I'm not sure how to put it into words... It's just a feeling I get ^^'

I'm sad Jiyoon is struggling with popularity though, since I'm not up to date with the show I'm not sure why, she's probably not getting enough screen time to show off her weirdo personality... shame ^^'

I'm also sad about Suhyun, Minseo and especially Soeun. I'm sure Soeun had a lot more to show, she's seems like a well rounded idol, like a trump ace in the team^^'

i think it's already said that the losing team will promote in some capacity... cuz i mean...it's a waste not to use the opportunity to maximize your won...

 

i think they will debut in 2018. 2019 would not be smart since a big 3 group is probably going to compete with them.....long term strategy-wise.

I think their debut is pretty much secured for 2018. They were named "Fave Girls 2018" for a reason. I think that debut has been a long term plan for a while, maybe the members are not set yet, or the debut song, or even the debut day, but the debut year seems pretty much set.

Soomin and Sujin making the final group in Mixnine is actually not really a burden. With 11 members (as it seems to be), you're safe to debut a subunit of 9 first if the girls can't get off their Mixnine schedule. It would be a shame, but at the same time, a good opportunity to show the other 9 can hold their ground just fine even if YG did not select them, and help their popularity.

But then again, I believe Fave secured the debut within the Mixnine contract. Just like Sejeong debuted in Gugudan while being in IOI, Yeonjung in WJSN or Chaeyeon who went back to DIA to co-promote in both groups. I know they all got some backlash, but bear in mind PD101 and IOI were quite huge, while Mixnine is not doing that well. The backlash is worth the risk imo. It didn't hurt Chaeyeon or Sejeong's popularity, mostly the companies'.

All that to say: I'm sure the debut is for 2018.

 

I hope line distribution will be fair and I hope they will have a great debut song, that is not too cute or too girl crush (too cute cause I don't like it, too girl crush cause the general public doesn't like it). I "just" want them to have a sound that gives them a different color, and make them successful.

i think 11 members is too many in a group. there are some trainees outta 11 who dont really get to shine imo.. but it's tough saying goodbye to someone just cuz of it...

 

i think they will play it safe, but not too safe...i initially thought fiestar's debut track...but i think loen/fave wants to start anew with this group.

 

speaking of members...when was the last time we saw yerim? why isn't she in these photos?

 

I'm still not on the 11 girls ride either... And I've said before that I believe Yerim will be solo... Not sure why I wrote 11 xD should have been 10, but 10 or 11, no big difference.

9 is really my maximum, but there are already so many 9 member groups, that I'd rather they end up as 7-8. I can't decide who is less "needed" tho, my lineup keeps changing every day...

Same... I've been attached to every girl at some point...

Soyeon is a must, she's the main dancer, the rapper, the fierceness in the group.

Soomin is our main vocal (that is considering Yerim might not be in the lineup, she could still be 2nd main or lead), our well rounded cold beauty who speaks perfect english.

Sujin is the center, she is pretty, good dancer, solid singer, cute and shy yet fierce on stage

Haerin is the low voice, calm beauty with more western features. I can totally see her snatching top visual spots in the future.

Bowon is a cutie, I have a soft spot for her really, she is the charming one, who will attract fierce stans.

Suhyun I feel is sort of the fashion representative of the group. The one who might end up choosing/designing outfits for everyone in the group in the long run. Not sure why i feel like that xD Maybe because of the modeling.

I've said it before, but Soeun seems like that hidden ace within the lineup, the one who is very well rounded yet so young that you can count on her for improving a lot in the future. I look forward to that.

Jiyoon is the total variety package, she's unique, funny, has strong vocals, interest in acting. She would be a real asset for variety.

And cutie Minseo is the maknae deal. The one everyone takes care of, who is cute and eager to join in everything. The fact that she comes from a child acting background is a huge bonus, cause people will recognize her and be interested in her growth.

I have to admit I know Yujin a lot less, shame she didn't get to showcase more of herself, but she seems like the type who is good at everything, but not amazing at anything. Which is really not bad, it means she can help in all areas, but it might become hard for her to shine on her own.

And well Yerim... I still believe she could be one of the best main vocal of her generation, actually of all generations, but I also see how she might fit in less in an idol group, that is all bubbly and dancing. With the right songs, and not necessarily always sad ballads, even though she seems to like them the most, she could really make a name for herself as a solo artist, without going through the idol path.

 

My ideal lineup as of now definitely has:

Soyeon (leader, main rapper, main dancer)

Soomin (main vocal)

Sujin (center, lead vocal)

Haerin (visual)

Bowon (visual, but just me being biased really)

Soeun (2nd lead)

 

Then I want but don't feel they're needed:

Jiyoon (lead vocal + variety, but others like Sujin can be lead vocal, and variety can be learned)

Yerim (main vocal, but she could do well solo and there is Soomin too)

Minseo (she's a cutie but still lacks training imo)

 

The 2 I feel less attached to:

Suhyun (mainly because her rap stage was awful, it wasn't her specialty and she wasn't at ease, but yeah... I felt she didn't give it her all because she didn't want to do it)

Yujin (because I just didn't get to see enough of her... I didn't get to grow attached to her yet, me being biased again)

Mixnine chose the romanization with L, I don't remember the Twitter account using roman letters to write their names, so I'm not sure what the official English writing will be...

I didn't update the poll... I don't really have anything to ask, but if anyone has an idea don't hesitate to tell.

PS: the reason for the new OP was to correct some information (the missing info on Mixnine for Sujin and the format problem for Yujin mostly ^^') but my laptop died and I have been unable to get the PSD data back. I was also frustrated with some misses and mistranslations from their profiles, that I found since their profiles have been translated by more official sources now. Don't hesitate to check and tell me if there still are problems
