Probably Loen has a 10 year trainee rotting hidden, like they had Melody day Yeoeun

tbh, Loen could make a trainee show (not exactly a survival) that could bring some attention (Especially if they bring IU as MC)

Loen shouldn't rely on Mnet to expose their trainees

are promoting more the New boy group (which will debut under Cre.ker, Please let the girl group debut under Fave)

This got long 

 

Ok, so Loen entertainment is a company mainly dedicated to music distribution

but back in the day, they decided to have an entertainment side in their company. so they opened a Sub-label in Loen's name,

which used to be Loen tree, it had all of their artists.

later in 2013, they reorganized Loen tree in 2 to expand their production business,

to show different colors, being Loen tree the more classic Loen style (IU, history, Sunny hill, etc)

and Collabodadi with Shinsandong tiger as the CEO the riskier side (Having Fiestar and ZIA)

 

this in 2015 was changed again because Collabodadi's treatment was unfair towards their artists compared to Loen tree 

(Fiestar and Zia barely promoted nor they interacted with fans, etc., while Loen tree let History and sunny hill promote more)

So fiestar and Zia Joined Loe tree again, dissolving Collabodadi.

later in 2016, Loen tree changed it's name to Fave entertainment (which is a pretty ugly name lol)

 

Cre.ker entertainment's used to be called Viewga entertainment, there isn't much info of it.

i'm not sure if it was always a sub-label of Loen (probably not this because Loen's official page didn't have this company as it's sub-label)

or, It was just a small company that made a joint venture with Loen (like Fantagio and pledis with Hello venus)

so viewga debuted a group getting the benefits of Loen idols (also Yeoeun was a Loen trainee, not a viewga trainee)

like special clips, etc.

later in 2016, Viewga was probably bought by Loen,

and Loen changed it's name to Cre.ker entertainment (Creative kernel lol)

and it became a Sub-label of Loen

 

So right now, Loen has 2 sub-labels and 4 Subsidiaries

-Fave ent.

-Cre.ker ent.

 

-Plan A ent.

-Starship ent.

- kingKong ent (bought by starship)

- Mun Hwa in ent.

Watching some clips of Produce 101 and seeing how there's only one known trainee in Loen

made me think about which P101 trainees i would like to see in Loen ( ik we've done this many times but it's to revive the thread)

since there are many of the trainees whose company don't have plans

 

So i would like to see Ex-happyface ent Kim hongeun

she wasn't super talented, but she's young 

and she'll probably be overshadowed by her sister in the acting career they both went (both went to the N company  preparing an acting career)

 

Cube trainee Lee yoonseo

Cube put eunbin on CLC and Jeon soyeon is debuting as a soloist, so she won't be debuting anytime soon

I don't know about a pre-debut/survival show. Imo it has already proved to only work for big companies that already have a fanbase willing to care about their trainees. If you are not one of the big 3 I feel like it's a waste of investment. Aside from Monsta X I don't remember another survival/predebut show from a smaller company that actually gave the group a good popularity boost when they debuted. Not to mention right now we just had so many of these types of shows that the Korean public is tired and not interested in it anymore. It can always unexpectedly blow up and help them, but personally I think that has a very low chance of happening.

 

It would definitely be better than nothing, but I think there are other ways to create hype and promote your future girl group. I think despite costing a lot of money what Loona has been doing is working for them and something like that would be better than a survival/predebut show. Any kind of pre debut exposure to showcase the girls, their personalities and talents not to mention give them some experience before debut so they can be more polished when they eventually start properly promoting is a great reason to do it imo. I agree V channel would be good and don't get why more companies don't take advantage of it. Unless naver is just too exclusive with whom they let have channels, which I don't think so because a bunch of groups that aren't too popular have channels, I see no reason not to.

 

Trainee life is very volatile with girls and boys coming and going all the time for several reasons, so Loen's plans could have been made impossible for several reasons, if they even had one. Also investors and the company management themselves can have had doubts about anything. Just look at Star Empire girls or Fantagio girls to see how hard it is to actually plan and debut a girl group, specially if you don't have the money SM, YG and JYP have.

 

I wish Loen would at least let Soyeon be in some shows like you guys said. It wouldn't have hurt to let her go on God of Music or Unpretty Rapstar, but in the end there are just too many variables that we don't know that could have contributed to them deciding not to.
