But lately I´ve seen so many people shitting on her calling her tryhard and such...Lets be real: All the cringeworthy and tryhard female rappers are currently on Unpretty Rapstar. And I want to hear the reason why CL suddenly became wack because as much as I look into it, I dont see it. You can tell what you want about her but lets give credit where its due: Homegurl is a crazy ass good performer and she got something female rappers have been lacking lately: FLOW. That is essential in the rap game. Her lyrics might be "Basic" and even that is questionable but her flow is on point. Being Lyrically consistent is something you can always improve...but a rapper who has bars but no flow is not easy to the ears. You can get away with it during freestyle battles but on a track you have to deliver SMOOTHLY. Dr Pepper was tragic but that doesnt mean she´s wack. You can tell while listening to "I AM THE BEST", she improved A LOT over the years... watch her ride to the beat on "Dirty Vibe". She might not be Yoon Mirae level but her shit is still better than most idol female rappers, lets get that straight! Seeing people downplaying her on that NB article is laughable...I could not understand...she already said she wants to be known as a good performer, but even as a rapper she still holds her own and I´m not even a GZB... When the issues aren't normally that they have bad skills, they just do a lot of off putting posturing.
