He demonstrated his ability as singer-songwriter in his solo concert.It showed his obvious competencies & construct his capabilities which make him recognized as not-a-senseless idol artist.Jonghyun showed certain color song given to another singer & arrange based on its voice only also created many songs in variety of genres. Jonghyun's amazing abilities as a vocalist as well as a singer-songwriter, he wasn't afraid to rate self constantly to assess outcome. translations by @pixiedustjk hope we get full translations next time ^^^ nvm @thatcoolcatmeow translated the same article after watching jonghyun’s solo concert it seemed meaningless to distinguish whether jonghyun is an idol or an artist. on this day, jonghyun showed all of jonghyun’s sides as someone who’d doing music. through this solo concert jonghyun showed his capability as a singer - songwriter and clear establishment of his world.jonghyun held his solo concert, the story by jonghyun, at 8pm on the 8th at seoul samseongdong’s smtown theatre. this concert was all sold out as soon as the ticketing opened and, also, added four additional shows. today’s concert at smtown theatre of approximately eight hundred seats was, again, packed to capacity.the solo concert started with jonghyun’s sexy performance. he passionately sang “déjà -boo†with cheerful choreography on stage wearing leather pants and tight fitting white clothing. we were able to see jonghyun’s enormous amount of practice in the next performance of â€œí• ë 루야 (hallelujah)â€, which he showed his vocal skills without a hair out of place while dancing to intense choreography.jonghyun appeared with his band as the curtains rose again and showed his clear colors through rearranging and singing the songs (that) he (has) wrote / composed for other sings in his own voice. jonghyun sang “julietteâ€, the song that he made as a debut as a songwriter, “playboy†which was on exo’s second album, “no more†which was sang by kim ye rim (ie: lim kim), and “red candle†that son dam bi tried to achieve her transformation (as an artist) with. the songs were born again through rearrangement and interpretation by the person who actually wrote the songs and was in harmony with the band which made them feel like completely different songs. songs that jonghyun made covered a wide range of genres, like: dance, medium tempo ballad, r&b, bossa nova and jazz.jonghyun capability not only as a singer - songwriter but also as a vocalist was magnificent. jonghyun sang lee sora’s “바람ì´ë¶„다 (the wind blows)†without music by the request of coffee boy, who was invited as a guest singer that day. his singing skills made up concentrate even to the breaths he took in and out. when he sang â€œí•˜ë£¨ì˜ ë (i’m sorry)â€, â€œí•˜ë£¨ì˜ ë (the end of a day)â€, and â€œí•˜ë£¨ì˜ ë (skeleton flower)†from his collection, story op. 1., he made it feel like it was the song and the audience that met face to face with him. jonghyun’s voice that resonated in the dark space with the fan lights even turned off in the audience made me want to listen to his voice for a long, long time.jonghyun explained his direction in preparation of this concert: “i\ve showed a lot of spectacles through fancy stage settings and performances as shinee, and i thought that i should provide something to listen to rather than just fancy spectacles for this solo concert. so, i continously thoughout about the direction of the rearrangements and the setlists by practicing a lot with the band.â€jonghyun satisfactorily showed his side as a singer - songwriter when he released his solo album, base, in january which included four songs that he composed and he also participated in the songwriting for all of the tracks. jonghyun’s collection, story op. 1, that was released on september 17th, was made up completely of songs that he wrote and composed. jonghyun didn’t stop with just writing songs (though), he also showed his literary talent through the publishing of his (first) novel, skeleton flower: things that have been set free, on october 2nd.jonghyun was never afraid of being evaluated through continously making outputs on his own. as a result, jonghyun is gradually building his own area (as an artist).
