On the 21st, Fuji TV announced Japan's very first drama with girls love as the main theme.

The drama called "Transit Girls" will start airing on November 7th. It stars originally child actress Ito Sairi (21) and popular model Yui Sakuma (20) and will tell the story of two step sisters falling into forbidden love.

Transit girls is an original work portraying girls love. The main characters will be portrayed by Ito Sairi, who has appeared as a bullied middle school student in Fuji TV's "Queen of Classroom and fashion magazine "Vivi" exclusive model Yui Sakuma, who will be acting for the first time. The two young actors will challange the difficult drama roles together.

The drama will tell the story of tomboy high-school student Hayama Sayuri and beautiful Shida Yui, who aims to become a cameraman assistant. The two will become step-sisters when their parents remarry.

Sayuri does not have experiance with guys, while Yui has had one boyfriend. The two find themselves in love while living together. There will be scenes of girls kissing, as well as a bath scene.

I hate this side of Fuji TV

Trying to rise their viewing rate with easy curiosity but related people have a lot of serious problems (I assume with the production)

But I think there are dramas like that (with homosexuality as the main theme)?

"Forbidden", very discriminative thinking

Oversees, there's quite a few productions with LGBT but it's more like there are LGBT characters in the productions, rather than LGBT being the main story. In Japan, this kind of thing is still sensational.

The very first one?

The live action adaptation of the manga "HEN" also has young girls love as the main theme.

Why use the term "Forbidden"?

It's like we're going back in time.

Would be better without adding "Forbidden"

So many upvotes as well <3

It's nice to see smth other than gay love when it comes to LGBT themes but yeah the step sister thing is a bit of an odd twist + it would be great to see more LGBT characters as normal parts of any drama, not just a special theme marketed as forbidden.
