Well, my parents are on the strict side since we're from another country and i don't go out with my friends the same amount as the average high schooler (ie football games, sleepover, parties), and I get really sad when i can't spend a lot of time with my friends but when i do, it just feels off sometimes. I prfer staying at home a lot bu everyone in my high school always has events planned and if you're that kid that 's always at home you're seen as a loner ( loser) so is there anyone else like me who prefers staying home/alone ( I still love my friends though)

sorry for the long read but i really need some sort of input/ advice for my little dilemma

I do like going out though  :hehe:  And don't worry! That "off" Feeling is just because it's new to you... If you don't do it more often the feeling wont go away  :horror:

This is kind of sad but I spend most of my weekends at home. If I go out its to go shopping or...yeah. Go shopping.

If I hang out with friends, it's usually at my house. (...I guess I don't like going out much...)

Nothing wrong with cozying up at home but idk, it's good to get out once in a while.

My parents are strict too. In my culture, the women are not allowed to go out and party that much like the guys are so my mom and dad always nag my older sisters when they stay out too late but at the same time, my mom's just worried that something might happen to them. My parents also won't allow anyone outside of our race, in the house. In the hmong community, every parent knows who your friends parents are, what they do for a living, and their reputation. If I do bring a friend over, the odds are my parents will act kind but then ask a whole bunch of questions when they leave. You could say my social life is boring outside of school. I come home everyday, babysit, sit on the computer, eat, nap, do my homework, shower, and then get ready for the next day. Once in a while, I attend football games and school dances but that's rare. My parents want me to be the perfect role model daughter, unlike my sisters. They want me to stay home all day and waste my life away. But to them, they're getting me ready for what married life is.  :._.:

I'm a home-body. I prefer to stay at home most of the time with my family, and I've always been like that.

That being said I do see what you mean about it feeling off when you're out with friends... I sometimes feel that way as well, although I definitely love going out with friends.

I dunno, I think you should be comfortable with your choices as far as how you want to spend your time. If you enjoy being at home with your family, then stay at home more... don't let petty judgments that literally will never matter keep you from doing what you like to do.

I do spend time at home but not with friends, sometimes family and mostly alone!

Going out can be fun. But I do not like spending a lot of money and when Im with a group of people I always get dragged in and end up mourning the loss off my money later on.

Especially when alcohol is involved and people came up with the idea to have everyone give money, pile it up and buy drinks. Always resulting in me paying for peoples drinks who I dont even like, because I try not to get drunk.

Am I still ontopic? OTL

Anyway, the bottomline is that for me, being alone in my room is what I find most comfortable.

I'm exactly the same. I'm an introvert so it's much more comfortable to be at home alone, in my room. My room is practically my sanctuary  :)
