One Israeli was killed in a hit and run near Hebron and two others lightly wounded in a vehicular attack at the Gush Etzion junction in the West Bank on Tuesday afternoon.

Avraham Asher Hasano, 50, from Kiryat Arba, was killed near Fawwar, southwest of Hebron, when he was hit by a Palestinian truck driver. The Israeli's car was pelted with stones, causing him to stop on the side of the road and exit his vehicle. He was then hit by the truck and fatally wounded.

The Palestinian truck driver fled the scene in the direction of Palestinian village ad-Dhahiriya, but later handed himself in to the Palestinian authorities. He said that the incident was an accident and that he did not mean to hit the Israeli. It is still unclear if Israel will ask the Palestinian Authority to hand the driver over.

Several hours later, a terrorist tried to ram into Israelis waiting at a bus stop at the Gush Etzion junction in the West Bank, but hit the concrete blocks placed there to stop such attacks. He was, however, able to light wound a 20-year-old IDF soldier and a 21-year-old Israeli civilian.

The terrorist the left his car with a knife drawn and tried to stab his victims.

An IDF soldier from the 92nd Shimshon Battalion in the Kfir Brigade, which is deployed at the junction, shot the terrorist and killed him.

The attacker was killed at the scene. His vehicle had an Israeli license plate and a knife was also found on his person.

In a separate incident near Hebron on Tuesday, a Palestinian was killed during riots near the Palestinian town of Beit Awa after trying to stab an IDF officer.

The attacker threw himself on the troops, lightly wounding one soldier. The soldiers then opened fire on the attacker, killing him.

The Palestinian was identified as 24-year-old Uda al-Salamah, a resident of Beit Awa.

Riots continued at the scene after the attack.

The incident was just the latest in a recent string of attacks across Israel and the West Bank, the last of which occurred in resulting in the death of a soldier and a Eritrean bystander.

An Israeli left 29 people dead the other day, none of them Israeli, not one of them Jewish. Yet it wasn't a hate crime, yet the government is saying he has psychological issues, yet he isn't being treated like a criminal. Baruch Goldstein, aka the devil.

It's only counted terrorism if the person is a muslim

Otherwise it's a "poor person with psychological issues, he needs help"

On February 25, 1994, ........

the other day,

Goldstein was only stopped after he was overpowered and beaten to death by survivors.

He was beaten to death as well.... and it was in 1994.  Not sure what propaganda you read saying it was the other day or that he was treated great. Very bad lies like this aren't great arguments.

Terrorism is the attempt to use bursts of violence to push a cause.  The whole idea of it is quite logical.  Terrorists use a mass killing, suicide bomb, hijacking, or whatever to push a political cause.

The mass murder of a schoolroom because of bullying or shooting up a movie theater because of batman is not the same as a politically motivated mass murder with a political goal in mind. In fact early terrorism also heavily involved hostage taking and forcing the media attention.  It's very different from random violence and there are usually political calls for it and an organization or network behind it.

The church shooting of black people by Dylan Roof is somewhat close to terrorism although not necessarily political.  The Palestine issue is a very political issue so most violence in it is terrorism.  There is a worldwide need to end terrorism as blowing up civilians or killing civilians shouldn't be how political issues are addressed.

For Palestine, random knife attacks is not going to do anything positive. Also there is a big difference between military action and terrorism. Historically, terrorism was dealt with by cleansing a population. For instance in America's colonization of Philippines, every male between age 10+ and of fighting age was killed in some areas.

In modern times, we have invented things like human rights which prevents the mightier military force from just killing the problem away.  This creates a problem though because it becomes extremely hard to deal with terrorist and unconventional forces if they can easily hide among civilian and become "immune".  It's really just a matter of time probably until a large bio/chem/dirty weapon is used by terrorists which takes most human freedom away.

The idea of human rights is kind of new. If you know history. I mean even in Africa over the past 30 years there have been huge human rights violations and war crimes or genocides.

(early 1900s)

A soldier from New York: "The town of Titatia was surrendered to us a few days ago, and two companies occupy the same. Last night one of our boys was found shot and his stomach cut open. Immediately orders were received from General Wheaton to burn the town and kill every native in sight; which was done to a finish. About 1,000 men, women and children were reported killed. I am probably growing hard-hearted, for I am in my glory when I can sight my gun on some dark skin and pull the trigger."

Israel is very reserved compared to most historical examples.
