What happens to all the outfits that idols use only ONCE for performances?

What happens to all the outfits that idols use only ONCE for performances? I know a lot of groups use one outfit for like on stage...and you never see them wear it ever again. Where do these outfits go? I can't imagine them being reused. Are they donated to charity? Do the idols keep them?

They ship them to Seoul Fashion Week so they redesign them and butcher them on the runway

Depends. I think some of them are sponsored, so they just used it for mv and once time performance and returned it to the brand. Or maybe they felt uncomfortable with it, that's why they only wore them once. I think stylist would keep the clothes for awhile, for SM case, they would show them in an exhibition years later.

i'm not really sure but i think for yg's case, everything is sponsored from designer brands, so they only use it once or twice after that return it again and they send then the newest item again-_- or maybe they can keep it if the artist likes the product lol

I know for SM, some of them are given away, some are auctioned, some are just kept stored. They put some old stage costumes on display in one of their exhibitions or whatever the fuck.

Yeah... I'm not sure if they give the clothes back, I don't think the designers would want that stuff back, after it's been sweated in.

i think the best thing to do if the idols themselves dont wanna keep it is to auction it off for charity. im sure a lot of fans would go crazy over them and pay a lot of money

it looked like most of the costume came from one place

so maybe it belongs to a design company which then could decide to auction it off when it's not needed anymore
