[DISCUSSION] Which debut was more successful/impactful, Red Velvet or Twice?

I actually don´t like to compare them. 

 

Red Velvet received ~a lot~ of hate when they debuted and they started almost from 0 (of course with the benefits of being from SM). I mean, they had some SM Rookies videos (which I think weren´t special) and an OST of Wendy. Joy wasn´t a SM Rookie too.

 

Twice had a show, video teasers and a stablished fanbase since pre-debut. They aren´t receiving hate at all (as I see) so their backgrounds are too different.

I´m new to them, that´s why the (as I see) cuz I have been on Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook all day and I saw no hate towards them (national + international) lol

so many comparsion threads for Twice seems like they are making a wave on OH

 

The haters are basically screaming at the top of their lungs "Twice are relevant they are going to be huge!" Since they can't get Twice out of their minds.

Can't even compare. Remember the MV scandal and also stealing indie group name? the supposedly plagiarized logo and tonnes of other bad press.Yup, everyone was hating Red Velvet back then but they still able to decently charts and Happiness MV hit 3M+ in 24 hours. Later, nominated twice on Music Shows the following week. RV's debut impact >>

not really, I mean all the Naver stuff I've read about the MV was super positive. The most offensive things I've read towards Twice debut was a hate comment aimed at JYP and Miss A, but not the girls themselves. 

Twice has only received a considerable amount in OH, mostly due to the flooding of threads (which I am guilty of adding to), and the intense hype. They seem to have gotten less than most groups, but maybe I haven't seen enough. 

 

 

 

Also, can we wait 24 hours at least before starting comparisons? Although if you mean who had better debut on charts so far it's RV

TWICE. There weren't so many threads about Red Velvet on their debut. Even with the controversity, there were only 3-4 threads.

 

and don't forget to keep your free mediaplay to Twice out of OH. Why focusing only in Korea market if Twice can take the World music market? well at least the Asian music market.
