Renaissance:

"The cultural rebirth that occurred in Europe from roughly the fourteenth through the middle of the seventeenth centuries, based on the rediscovery of the literature of Greece and Rome."(source)

Now that we have a lot of quality rookies and debuts, big name comebacks and the YG/SM over saturation are at an all time low. I think  this time kpop is trying to rebrand itself as the shit everybody loves. we are now entering an era where hits are being born and groups who deserve spotlight actually get that spotlight and a lot of big players are returning with a bang (note JYP, DSP, Woollim).

Share your thoughts!? Do you think we can replicate the era of 2007-2010 or even better? Are you excited for the future of kpop from this point on?

Yes 2015 has been the best for SM all together in a while

JYP is back on their game with all their artists

Big Bang released their best album to date.

Quality rookie debuts again, from both male and female groups(except for the trash Ikon)

But bitter nostalgic crybabes will complain about it not being as good as the 2007-2011, when this has be the best year since.

No. Last year was better imo. Kpop has been going downhill since 2011 and I see no signs of turning back.

KHip-hop on the other hand is on fire.

i used to think like that before because i was a hard core YG stan but now if you take a look to the whole of kpop, its changing for the better. change your main dish every once in a while! haha
