SM in 2015 so far?

Honestly, SME's been killing it this year. There are no real complaints to be had. Taeyeon's getting a solo, Exo's comeback album was phenomenal, SNSD improved on all fronts without Jessica, SHINee continue to hit the mark, Jonghyun is flying free as a ~creative soul~. It's just all there.

People are right about the team kills though. SME is constantly trying to make sure they have SOMETHING on the charts at all times and they're oversaturating things a tad bit and not bringing out the best extent of all their promotions like they could be as a result.

Some of my favorite kpop releases this year were from SM, which is a surprise since the only group from it I regularly listen to is EXO. I like how started releasing more public friendly songs (they probably realized they can conquer the digital market too if they pull the right strings) but are still keeping a bit of the unique element most of their title tracks have. Exodus, Red Velvet's album and now Taeyeon's solo were really solid.

Before you make a thread for JYP I'll just give you my answer now and say.... it was mediocre.

SM did great this year.

I thought it would be too much so I'll end it here.

I think in general they had okay title tracks (so yeah I agree). Other than G.soul, DAY6 were the standout for me this year from JYP, I liked their title track (also generic but kind on the ears).

I liked a lot of albums, just as I did last year, so I honestly don't see the great "improvement" that others do lol (if people mean sales, then yes I agree). I guess Red Velvet had a major upgrade, at least for me, and SHINee came back.

Sadly I was disappointed with Soshi again, I guess I'm musically over them for good

It was amazing, all their groups released solid albums, solo artists relased solid albums. Music videos were very pretty and (Kyuhyun, Taeyeon) seems like they film more outdoors now. Plus it seems like they give their artists A LOT more freedom musically than ever before, and I just feel like in general everyone is happier.

However, I wish SM would stop shoving all their acts together, there's literally overlap after overlap and it's really annoying.
