Loo 5,708 Posted October 14, 2015 Share Posted October 14, 2015 #Mess YG really needs to work on: - scheduling (in what world do you afford a whole trimester of nothing due to delays when you have so many groups/solos just waiting for an opportunity to stand on stage...) - communication (basically stop using Yang Hyun Suk as a spokesperson <.<) - priorities (Lee Hi, ygngg, psy... at this point it's just laughable) - exclusivity rule (rookies need exposure, exposure, exposure. They're not BB who don't need variety anymore, they need to go everywhere they can and even make fools of themselves to get a big stable fandom, why doesn't he get that?) I have no particular complaints about music though, it was okay to good depending on the releases. If there was less hype due to mediaplay, they wouldn't have been criticized as much (which goes back to: communication) EDIT: Oh and not even cross promo but cross-preparation is another area to work on. I remember when they played it at the Korean festival in London and everyone did the "oaahoahh" part at the beginning. My friend was like "I feel like I'm in a cult" Thank you bigbang. NiNiBear 4,632 Posted October 14, 2015 Share Posted October 14, 2015 BB - but overall I loved some of the songs, some songs like baebae and bang x3 had to grow on me, preferred the songs over the MVs IKON - Airplane is alright, I like that song the most out of all of them, overall their debut wasnt forgettable cuz they did well on the charts and all that, just felt underwhelming is all Jinesaeun - they cameback, I didnt listen to thier song tho :/ I wasnt really interested, sorry Did I miss anyone?? 2ne1 / Lee Hi / AKMU / Epik High / Winner - I miss them :( Please comeback What happened to CL's us debut??? The new rookie girl group??? In comparison to how many comebacks SM had just this year with more to come before the year ends*yikes*, YG needs to work on time management for his artists forreal. I don't stan companies but most kpop music I listen to is from YG and I had high expectations for this year with so many great groups in the line-up and BB's comeback. It seems like the company is more concerned about following trends instead of creating new ones (which IMO is what made BB so succesful) so as a result we have an overload of coffe shop songs or upbeat songs with very similar arrangements and it's getting tiring. I only liked 3 songs out of the MADE ones and none of them were stand out songs to me (in fact, the only one I listen to regularly is If You) and I liked Ikon's debut but their pre-debut songs were better so it wasn't what I expected. Now that I think about it, Jinusean's track so far is the song I might have listened to the most out of everything YG released this year since it's something more refreshing and original. The People has this insecurity and jealousy filled tendency to hate on successful companies like YG BIGBANG owned the year , literally And YG rookie was / is a hot topic since their debut , I guess it's what I call ....
