I don't really enjoy 2NE1 anymore. I did when I first got into K-Pop but I'm not a big fan anymore(*edit - syntax error). I like a few of their songs (Missing You/Go Away/Happy) but that's about it now. Their later mismanagement of their career (poor Japanese advance (although Scream is a jam*)/long times between track releases/poor single choices/Bom's failing voice) and their latest releases haven't done anything for me as well. I like Minzy though. I really wish her the best in her life after K-Pop. It looks like she's going to be a dance instructor and I hope she does really well for herself and continues to sing. I (*also) don't enjoy a lot of 2NE1 fans too.* They're really blase about how talented 2NE1 is in terms of vocals and they're obnoxious to the point of it being overbearing when talking about 2NE1. A lot of Blackjacks are constantly talking about 2NE1 'saving K-Pop' and what not. How have they 'saved' K-Pop when the industry seems to be surviving quite well without them? :|

They stand out with the music they put out, and with the image they projected, which is very different from the typical cookie cutter girl groups.  Considering how long they've been around, they should have released a lot more songs that they have (but that is down to YG's incompetence and they can't be blamed for that).  Most of their songs are really good (which is not something that can be said of other groups' discography).

i think for the most part, people aren't really being serious whenever they say a group saved kpop

I would hope you being a stranger wouldn't care what I enjoyed and what I didn't in general lol... In regards to 2NE1 though - I always have Scream to jam to at the gym because of them or Missing You on my 'Rainy Days' mix on Spotify and I'm thankful for that .

I used to love them tbh, they were the group that introduced me to k-pop. But YG had ruined them, a lack of comebacks and the constant pushing of CL over the others has led to me falling out of love with them.

Since they debuted in 2009 they've released just four physical studio albums in Korea. I know, I know, they should be focusing on quality not quantity. And here's my argument, there are tons of groups that debuted around the same time and have since gone on to release flawless album after flawless album, at least one release each year.

4minute, T-ara, f(x), all groups that debuted very close to 2NE1, and have released triple the amount of albums.

I know its not about who releases the most, but if they don't release new songs fairly frequently then people will forget them, they will move on and there is nothing fresh to keep them thinking about 2NE1.

Korea and group promotions are what YG should be focusing on, but instead he's sacrificing the other members to make CL a household name and let me tell you now, it aint gonna happen! In a couple of years she'll crawl back to Korea with her tail between her legs like the Wonder Girls, and people will have moved on.

I did never like them, their music isn't my type, their attitudes aren't my type and even their visuals aren't likewise. But they're quite famous, one of the big ggs out ther so ofc they would never be forgotten, they're known worldwide so forgetting them must take decades

I think they will be fine if CL doesn't blow up. Knetz have hated on people before and their songs still performed well (GD, MC Mong...). YG shouldn't disband them. Their fan base is huge so that would be a waste.

First time i saw them i swear i dont like them, but their music is what got me into them. After that i find myself liked their personality too, yes they seems arrogant but its because YG being bitch and didnt let them do more variety with other idols. Their concept is always refreshing for me- and lastly their fans.. everybodyknows
