Instead of View Counts, shouldn't this be the Measure of how popular a song is?

Instead of view counts, shouldn't the seconds and/or minutes a song is played/viewed be more attributable to how successful a song is?

 

I say this because some songs are longer than others and it takes longer to view that video than a shorter video.

 

Is there a way to measure how long a video has been viewed in terms of raw time?

at the bottom of a video click on "more", then "statistics"

 

there's a "time watched" section

Of youtube statistics. I think the best of the four tabs is the Subscription Driven tab. Since it's basically the "Yah better stan" stat.
