Omg I love this series so much. This is definitely my favourite K-drama of all time. All I'm seeing from the comments though is how worried everyone is that Junghwan and Deoksun are getting so many scenes together. I think everyone is still a little salty about Chilbong, but I doubt that the writers would be so cruel as to make anyone else end-game.

I mean, doesn't it seem a little TOO obvious by this point that Junghwan is the husband.

Raw for episode 9 is out. I'll try to summarize what I can understand and later write some thoughts as well

Plot spoilers underneath btw. My Korean is limited (to put it politely) so I'll do my best but please don't expect a lot.

Deoksun has gone out to the store to bye something. She's walking back home with a bag in her hands, and she looks really frightened. Someone is following her. She's almost home and tries to run to the gate when she's stopped by her "stalker" asking what on earth is she doing? It's JungHwan. She's pissed, why was he following her like that? He replies he wasn't following her, he lives at the same house that she does. He continues to be oblivious as to why she was scared and Deoksun just gets even angrier. She's about to storm off when he stops her again, and quietly tells her to sleep well. *CUE THE CUTE MUSIC OF MY SHIP HAPPILY SAILING*

Junghwan is in his room, he had gone out to get some VCRs and he sets these on his desk. He's so damn cute! He lays on his bed, before sneakily stealing a glance out of his window at Deoksun, who is right outside and staring back at him. He smiles to himself at how cute she is.

Back to Deoksun who has now entered her room. Noeul comes in and grabs the snacks he had asked for from her. Deoksun asks after Bora, to which Noeul replies that she's on a date with her boyfriend. Deoksun marvels at the power of one's first love, and then lays down to listen to the radio show along with Noeul. The scene cuts to Junghwan, who is in his room studying, and also listening to the same program, then to Taek who also has the radio on as he's getting ready to sleep and finally to Sunwoo and DongRyong in the study room. Dong Ryong as always, is also getting ready to sleep on the floor of the study room.

Sunwoo takes off from the study room a little later. He seems to be in a good mood, and when he gets out of the building he's evidently looking for something. When he rounds the corner though, his smile drops off as he sees Bora and her boyfriend being flirty with each other. All he can do is look upset and take off.

The next morning JungHwan's mom sees Taek and wonders if he's had breakfast yet. Taek's dad is away right now (taking care of a friend?), so Junghwan's mother invites him over to have breakfast with them. She excitedly tells him she's made galbi (steamed beef ribs)! Taek politely answers he will come over, and immediately after Deoksun runs outside to proclaim to Junghwan's mom that she too, wants some galbi. Confused, Junghwan's mom asks if Deoksun's mom isn't home? To which Deoksun honestly answers, nah, she just wants some galbi.

Cue to a shot of Deoksun eating galbi like crazy while Taek politely eats his portion. Junghwan is just staring at Deoksun while she eats with a "why is this my life" kind of look before he looks to his other side to see that Dong Ryong has also invited himself over for some galbi. *Cue the awkward sheep sound*. Junghwan asks them is his house a restaurant or something? They all just brush it off. Deoksun suddenly asks DongRyong why HE is there, hasn't his mother made him breakfast? (Can't really understand the rest too well. Soemthing about a room? I think DongRyong is asking Taek if he can stay over)

SunWoo joins the gang, Junghwan invites him to eat which he politely refuses, he's not hungry. He's just here to return Junghwan's mother's plate and to send his family's compliments on the JapChae. Deoksun looks a little awkward at first when Sunwoo sits down with them, but then suddenly pronounces she has an idea. She tells them that they should all go see a concert together tomorrow (they had all been fanboying/ girling over the concert attendees on the radio show last night). Junghwan agrees to go. Taek is busy, Sunwoo begins to say he would like to but can't- to which Deoksun interjects that she doesn't care, and prods DongRyong for his answer. DongRyong also says he can't go, leaving Deoksun annoyed that she's going alone with Junghwan. Junghwan just tells her to go, leaving Deoksun with a confused look on her face. "Just go, I know you like [that particular singer]" to which she just nods her head silently. Junghwan shakes off the awkwardness by calling out for him mom for some trivial thing before leaving the table.

SunWoo waits for Bora at night. She's her usual pissy self, and asks him what is he doing there? Sunwoo suddenly shows two tickets to her, and asks if she can go to the concert with him. Of course she says no, why should I? He says it's just a concert, I don't have any other intentions. Bora decides to nip this in the bud right then and there. She explains to him that while she was initially understanding of the crush (it was natural for a guy with hormones to think of his noona like that), this is starting to cross the line. He is her sister's friend, and this constancy is starting to annoy her. She then walks off leaving SunWoo alone.

Cut to Junghwan and Deoksun going to the concert. Deoksun is ridiculously excited and takes out her excitement (?) on Junghwan by hitting him several times. He gets annoyed and asks what's wrong with her? She replies that she's freezing. To which he graciously responds that she would because she wore a skirt in the weather, does she have no common sense? Deoksun is disappointed, how can he be so cold-hearted? Junghwan looks surprised at her calm and expectant tone of voice, and turns towards her. But as she starts screaming that a guy should give their jacket at least if a girl is saying she's cold, he gets defensive and asks her if she's gone crazy, why would he give his jacket to HER.

A young couple appears before the pair to ask if they could take a picture for them. Junghwan politely agrees to do so with a bow. As Junghwan sets up the couple's picture, Deoksun looks on awkwardly. As JungHwan counts down 3... 2... 1.. the guy kisses his girlfriend on the cheek (AWWW), leaving innocent Junghwan and Deoksun in a state of semi-shock. The guy approaches Junghwan and Deoksun and asks if they would like a picture as well (he's assuming they are a couple). Deoksun awkwardly begins to refuse, but is smoothly cut off by JungHwan who graciously accepts the offer and calmly pulls out his camera. Junghwan keeps a straight face as Deoksun looks on at him curiously.

Junghwan and and Deoksun stand in front of the poster for the concert. At first they are ridiculously awkward, Deoksun in standing rigily  a few feet away. The guy keeps prompting to get closer together. Deoksun tries to tell him to hurry up with the picture, but is interrupted by Junghwan throwing his arm around her and pulling her close, while he rubs her arm comfortingly. (CUE MY PTERODACTYL SCREAMING OVER THE LOVELY BGM). The picture is taken, with Deoksun looking a little awkward and Junghwan smiling like a goof.

We then cut to unknown hubby and future Deoksun. She's staring at a picture she supposedly took with him. She says that it was so obvious he liked her back then. Well yeah, the husband replies, she was really pretty back then. And what about now, Deoksun asks innocently. He replies back unsatisfactorily (I can't really catch what he's saying), and she bites him while he stares back horrified.

I can't really understand the rest of the episode, and I should probably be studying so I'll watch the rest later. Honestly the vibe I am getting from all of this; JungHwan is definitely the husband. They're trying to stick Taek in there for some drama, but they're setting it up for end game as JungHwan and DeokSun. I think DeokSun and Taek will probably get together first in all likelihood, (they "reveal" in this ep that Taek smokes whch is significant because so does the future husband). But the overall vibe is still heavily biased to Junghwan, or maybe it's just me ohohohoooo

I found this comment on NB, is it true?

The writer is amazingg and said that they based Deoksun's character on Hyeri's real life character but didnt want to cast her because of the whole buzz about idol actors and were worried she'd do badly. Well, they auditioned a bunch of people and couldnt find the right person so they let Hyeri audition without telling her the character was based on her real life self on variety shows etc. She got the role and they revealed it later on.

Daebak no wonder I don't feel hyeri's acting at all, it's her real self [emoji50]

Interesting. I saw this comment as well, but I can't find the interview they are quoting. I remember Eunji had a similar feeling, like she wasn't acting at all because that was her real self. The Reply producers have a knack for casting, and they really know how to bring out the best in their cast.
