Would iKon be more iKonic if Mix and Match results were different?

What are your thoughts? and What would be your Mix for ikon 7? 

 

Personally for me it shouldn't have been Chanwoo, I'm still salty about that cause he doesn't really add anything to ikon. Hongseuk is a good vocal and Jinhyeong has a lot of potential and his vocal color is on point. Chanwoo could've been easily added to YG's Actor line and nobody would be against that since he was an actor to begin with! 

 

I'm sorry for this thread in advance, its just that the situation really annoys me, how Chanwoo is given lines thats usually given to digitally made sounds and doesn't really add much in performances, heck i couldn't even notice him in the MVs. I'm also probably the worst person to post this thread since I'm clearly not an Ikon Fan etc etc... I'm just thinking of the potentials lost especially looking back in M&M.

I think it could be different, but it wouldn't change that much, tbh. Since double B is getting more focus now.

But I hope they distribute the lines better in the future and that Chanwoo may grow.

I accepted him(before debut) too but seeing now how they are making use of him, i just feel like he'd be better off as an actor if this continues.

I get what you're saying.. Their debut was pretty much a let down to me and I barely saw Chanwoo there. But the thing is that I don't think things would have been that much different with the other boys. They would get more lines, but zero to none screentime. At least at the beginning... I still need more time to get into iKON, tbh. But I'm giving them a chance. Hope they improve.

Kinda funny because Hongseok or Jinhyeong would have more potential to spread out along the years, since they have bigger lung capacity (to sing louder longer notes) :/

Hongseuk is so stiff.

Even just standing there and moving some of his feet make me uncomfortable cuz how stiff and awkward he is on stage and I exclude his dancing skill already (this thing take awhile to fix). He didn't have the chemistry with other mems at all and he doesn't like the style either. Plus, he doesn't match with the group interm of personality--it may cause problem between mems.

Jinheong is fine too if they add him. He and Chanwoo is the best choice, but Chanwoo still the best one as I can see the mems fond of him more and he has the highest vote with the fans among the new mems. He is the right choice.

Overall, I honestly don't see the point of Mix and Match (besides for publicity) since the new mems talents are average (they can still improve to be a stable singer/performer in the future but nothing outstanding either cuz raw talents has to be there in the first place) and none adding a bonus to the group. I never watched Winner so I don't really care about original mems. However, while watching MxM, I thought the group better the way it is, no one from the new mems really worth to be include

Chanwoo or Jinhyeong were the best fit tbh, Hongseok was just out of the question. During M&M I was rooting for Jinhyeong so that was a shame, but what's done is done and I've warmed up to Chanwoo a lot.

 

And other than group dynamics, which was then Team B's strongest asset imo and considering that the newbie/s would be the ones to adjust and not the old members, nothing would have changed regardless of who was added.

Making music is all about business. It's not about making a groupie :/ They can have other close friends outside, no problem.

They doesn't need to be close friend, but still need to get along and compromise. Thats how, working business people can last long. And Ikon actually a group, the mems was there for music and as a business.

 

And yes, I think most mems fond of Chanwoo than let's say Hongseok (beat me for it) Jinhong is okay too.

Jinhyeong (Hongseok was way too stiff and completely lacked the sense of rhythm) would have been a lot better choice as he had great voice as well as great visual. Chanwoo basically contributes nothing for the group. I actually think that the group would be better off without him with just six members.

I hoped Jinhyeong was added instead of Chanwoo. I guess, things would have been a little different, but nothing dramatic. Long Time No see is my favorite song from them, but even then, Jinhyeong's line was still considerably less, especially when I've found his singing better than Chanwoo's.

 

But I've warmed up to Chanwoo and it doesn't matter now. Line distribution won't change regardless of who was added. It's really up to BI to give way to other members with line distributions. And I hope he does. I love ikon, but it still makes me feel bad for Chanwoo.

the fans were also put into unreasonable amount of stress, also the fans made and fans lost were in an unreasonable amount of stress. unlike WIN, there's a lot more stake in M&M and the results, whether you like it or not, were devastating

For me Jinhyeong would've added a lot to the team and a vocal line with him, Junhoe and Yunhyeong would've been just perfect but what's done is done and it's important to take in consideration Chanwoo is still really young so there's plenty of time for him to improve. I wouldn't count him out yet.

Chanwoo wasn't necessary and adds nothing but its Ikon's fans fault for him being in the group since those who were fans of the original 6 tried to smear the reputation of the new recruits even before voting happened which kinda ruined the chances of the others.  Would the group be more Ikonic if someone else was chosen?  Probably not since it'd still be the B&B show and the 2 who were eliminated while better than Chanwoo were not so outstanding that they'd significantly change the dynamics of the group.
