You could tell e was a drop dead beauty even then imo. Her features were so clear. She even had an oval face shape. No need to touch her eyes

Those are different angles tho? I think it's more about the swelling going away and her losing weight. Her before cheeks were puffier sometimes because of it, because there were fleeting pre-Next Level moments when she was sporting the more upswept look she seems to have now.

She's stated before that she never had anything done, but I keep wondering if it's possible to naturally change that much in 3 years especially how she's so young. Her mom is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world and she definitely looks like her now.

I don't know what to say... It's so scabrous I won't comment on her transformation but there was no Vincent Cassel's inheritance to be seen, so it sort of makes sense. 

I don't blame her, because when your mother is MB it's normal to be scared shitless of not 'living up' to people's expectations. 

It saddens me that the daughters of women renown for their beauty feel like a second coming of their mothers that must somehow 'keep up'. Like they must be 'enough of a beauty' first and foremost, when they should be given the mental space to be something appart from their parents' beauty appendage and develop into their own selves... Like, there are so many things one can be or become, and pretty, while superficially appealing at first and useful to some degree, is by far the least interesting.

i knew she had eye lid surgery at a young age before most of her famous pre-debut pics but this was still quite surprising because if i didn't know her in the first place i would not have guessed that they were the same person...

Look, I don't especially like Karina, but those girls from Pann are being ridiculous. You set a beauty standard that's almost impossible to attain, and once someone gets to fit it to a T by means of surgical intervention you shame their looks for being "less legitimate" somehow. What do you expect Karina to do after spending so much of her time in pain to become an idol (who are first esteemed on the basis of how good they look)?? Cover herself in shame? What should she be ashamed of exactly? "Acting like a natural beauty" How do you even act like a natural beauty? Of course she won't say a word on that matter, let alone if umprompted... Just like 95% of idols? I think they're envious of her and their overidealised unattainable ideal she has... well... attained. What's the problem with her not looking like she hates herself??

The reaction scared me a bit so I just decided to lurk. Through reading back the pages I now know that there are certain idols that some people are defensive of. Jiwon, Tzuyu, V, Karina, etc (some reactions are more extreme than others of course). I think yuna might be the newest addition (I saw a user mention her alleged nose job back a few hundred pages and they got some pretty bad reactions).

I don't think the bad reaction is necessary because people disagree, I think it may be because they don't want their perception of their idols to be changed. An interesting note is that the idols mentioned are visuals (or part of the visual line). 

Also can we request to make a post with every idol and what they had done pinned to the first page? Navigating this thread is a bit confusing and I feel like that would just make everything easier for everyone. 

It would definitely be easier for consulting, but you have to keep in mind that we're different people with different opinions, and, most importantly, we're not experts —or at least not one person with an academic background in the field has actively contributed to the thread so far— which means the utter weight of our judgements rests on before/after comparisons and aditional information from external sources, such as PS clinics and doctors. It's extremely hard to reach a consensus. The thing is, you can try to do your analysis better, but you can't always vouch for its being 100% correct.

I think that she has eyelid surgery twice. Her eyelids are way more defined and higher than when she was younger.

I think she *may* have had some forehead fat grafting or filler or an implant because her forehead was flatter in the past.

Also she seems to have  gotten a jaw shave, she doesn’t have a mandibular angle anymore.

And she *may* have had some nose bridge work because it looks slimmer and more defined now.

If she has gotten work done, then like hyori it is incredibly natural looking and hard to tell without looking at many pictures. I’m very confident that she has had eye and jaw work, but the other work I mentioned  I’m 50/50 about.

Kim Tae Hee has one of the most agressive epicanthoplasties I've ever seen. She's obviously very beautiful, but I felt there something off about her eye área even before knowing that cosmetic procedures like eye corner cutting were a thing.

She was just always a beautiful human being.

 

I don't know whether she had some ultra minor refinement, but no idol has ever come close to her visual and no idol ever will. That's a hill I'll die on. One of the most versatile, striking and fascinating faces ever.

The only thing that gets on my nerves even more than Korea's egregiously racist, classist and overall discriminatory attitude towards South East Asians is Western Kpop fans co-opting this very specific brand of racism. 

These fucking koreaboos are riding high on East Asians' race essentialism without being Japanese/Chinese/Korean themselves. They're vicariously living their supremacist dreams through these nations' self-attributed superiority, it's so embarrassing.

Still very pretty, but she looks straight up gorgeous in the first pics. The Kpop industry likes their idols bland and uniform, standards are getting worse and the slowly narrowing public perception of what it is to be pretty is pressuring kids who ten years ago would've debuted as a visual without any major changes into trading their melanin and uniqueness/fresh facedness for the same squeaky-clean, smoothed out looks. All for the sake of marketability. 

I don't know, maybe it is because I've started to grow out of Kpop (though I keep very fond memories of the years I've spent as a Kpop fan), but everything about it feels so uninspiring to me now.
