Wasn't this the same channel who did the video on 5 idols who apparently never did surgery and provided like... the crappiest evidence and comments? I was annoyed at how factual the script/narrator sounded (while basing their research from... guess what, biased comments on forums lol) so I clearly remember that channel. And here they come with yet another misleading and problematic content lmao  Even though they're saying this is what "fans" say and give little compliments to make up for the insults, was this type of content really needed? It just comes off as insensitive and unnecessary. People would make content out of anything these days.

I'm not sure about the jaw shave, but I do recall that second photo being discussed here. I believe that was fan taken? And it brought a lot of realization that even fan taken photos can be very edited so they aren't always reliable either, along with official photos released by the company and sometimes idols themselves. I think you'll be able to see some of the recent discussion if you search it up. (One more latest example of fan editing in this thread is Sakura, she looks wildly different from press releases vs the ones released by her fans)

What procedures is Yujin speculated to have done? Her visuals don't really strike me as uncanny or give me a plastic vibe tbh, but she does look different from that first photo, namely her nose? Then again I don't follow her often so it could just be styling and contour, maybe even maturity since I know she was fairly young when she debuted (not sure when the photo was taken).

Just wanted to say that if she did touch her jaw, the surgeon did a pretty good job in making it look natural. I know people irl who have jaws like hers in the present picture op posted – which makes me think, could the jaw procedure just be botox or something else like weightloss or acupuncture massage? I searched pictures of her during iz*one and it doesn't look like she's ever had a strong jaw from the side.

I'm not all too familiar with the group either, but I think what op was trying to point out about the first guy were the red marks on his alars/nostril flaps which might've been the result of an alarplasty (or alarplasties, since he seems to also have a scar predebut? but the recent pic looks fresh). I don't think they put contour in that area, the only other reason I could think of aside from surgery is having irritation that could cause the redness, but it doesn't really explain the deep lines in his predebut pics unless he was born with that. Never seen a nose do that naturally though so it's sus.

I wouldn't be surprised if hybe was the one behind this, but also.. Chaewon and Sakura aren't rookies anymore. And honestly there's been a few posts of Sakura looking a lil weird already when she was still in Japan, wouldn't it be possible for this to be her personal choice? I'm pretty sure she and Chaewon would have more autonomy on their faces now, they didn't debut straight from being trainees like their other members. None of them also look as different as Sakura does.. that press photo is haunting me lmao. 

That being said, I think all of the Le Sserafim girls except for maybe Yujin and Chaewon (not sure about them yet) had at least one nose job. Kazuha, Eunchae, and Sakura all have ski slopes if you look at their side profiles. Garam has more tip projection now if you compare her predebut photos.

I heard her trainee time was 3 months, which seems enough time for healing. Some idols have gone out in public after a procedure with much less.

Her nose was more bulbous before, but I personally think that if she had it done, it still looks quite natural in front view now, so I'm also considering the possibility of the slimming down just being contour (+ fillers bc that side profile is still pretty sus)

Who is editing txt's photos and why are they starting to look like a face morph of themselves + another idol instead of just looking entirely like themselves... like-

 

Last time it was Yeonjun looking like Shotaro and now Taehyun in that 3rd pic is looking like a Taehyun x Soobin face morph especially if you cover his lips/lower half of the face

Not really? His lips have always been naturally on the thicker side even when he was young if you check his predebuts. If anything, I thought they looked a bit thinner in some fansites pictures of him smiling that day, but in this and other pictures they still look the same.

Honestly, it's wild to me how fast beauty standards change.

Like just a few years ago, idols would literally even try to CONCEAL their lips to make them look thinner, but now it's normalized for everyone and their mom to get lip fillers if they don't have naturally thicker lips. And these rapid changes aren't just limited to KPop or Asia, but even in the West. Big doe eyes used to be so hyped up, but now it's the siren/hazy eyes. Eyebrow trends went from pencil thin to bushy brows to feathered brows to straight brows to arched brows to whatever floats your boat brows. From body shapes, hair, skin, to bone structure – it keeps changing. But with this, thankfully, what falls under beautiful has also become more diverse these days. 

Point is, there are SO MANY things that define "beautiful" in the present, and even with the many options we have, beauty standards are STILL changing. You never know which "flaw" you have today that will be considered ideal tomorrow. I am not saying don't get ps or any procedures at all, but if you want to be beautiful, be your own kind of beautiful. Don't just follow trends that come and go just as fast as they do with clothes, because that will be the exact reason why one would never be satisfied with what they have. We were never meant to look uniformly the same anyways, people need to get that what looks good on others might not look good on you. I would love for the day to come when each of these idols/celebrities and everyone else would realize this instead of trying to shift themselves to fit the bill. Like Hwasa said, create your own beauty standard – and who knows, the next trends might be based off you.

So Yunjin from Le Sserafim... 

 

I know she grew up in the states, but what about her ethnicity? Are both of her parents korean? Because honestly I would've never guessed she was korean in these photos

Her bone structure was stronger and more angular, but whenever I see her pictures now, her face shape is much rounder and softer – not sure if I'm using the term right but almost pillowy (or just... like a mochi for example, and she did nawt look like that in her predebut photos above ), though still really pretty nonetheless. 

(look at the 2nd and 3rd pics below... she doesn't look plastic-y to me but there's certainly a difference from predebut) 

Zero angular features, though she still looks kind of western to me. 

Square jaw gone. 

And finally, the first tweet that made me go ??? wait a sec, lol

I know the possibility of masseter botox + fillers was mentioned before, but could there be more? (I would say skin bleaching too based on the baby pics or she's just terribly white washed by editing/makeup, but aside from that lol) 

Side note but some of her features remind me of actress Kim Jiwon, who's also very pretty.

Idk but his chin looks pointier/jaw is looking more snatched than usual. His lips also look sus? Like they're wider now, especially in the last pic – but idk really, it could just be an illusion from the snatched jaw. Nonetheless his face shape looks almost identical to Karina's in some of those photos. Did Hyunjin get his buccal fats removed or do something to his jaw/chin? He's been looking so slimmed out since Maniac.

He is looking different for sure, although it is not as extreme as on the other photos. I can't really pinpoint what changes, but I kind of feel like his nose(?). But maybe his lips are also bigger. I didn't pull up reference photos though, so I don't want talk procedures.

He looks SO much better here. It's absolutely whack to think that his own fansites edited him the way they did in the previous set of photos. Like seriously, your own fans? I know fansites editing their photos isn't a new concept, but I would personally be offended if I were these idols and my stans would edit me to that extent. Anyways, I'm aware of Hyunjin's chin already being infamous in the ps community but it's more.. eye grabbing now, even in those pictures from dispatch (especially that 2nd one). Dunno if he had it retouched with fillers/something else or I'm just not that updated with stray kids anymore so it looks a bit off to me.

Aside from the actual procedures, I'm pretty sure it's also their styling that makes stray kids look uncanny? Like... The overly white foundation and zombie contacts gotta go sometimes. Most of their hairstyles and colors are already out of the ordinary if that's the concept that they're going for, combining it with the other two is just a little overkill. Whenever I see skz comeback these days or attend official events, it's like their stylists purposely don't want them to look human lol.

This Twitter thread wasn't made to analyze her plastic surgery, but I find it to be helpful in comparing Garam's photos from then and now, especially "9. Other Identical Features" 

 

I stand by my initial theory of her getting a nose job/fillers/tip work. It has more projection now, though it looks natural still. I can't seem to find a clear picture of her side profile yet. Anyways, Le Sserafim/her fans were trying to say the girl with bangs isn't her, but it is lol.

It doesn't even look like her teaser photos, which were also heavily photoshopped to begin with. She looks more like an ulzzang than Garam to me.

Wasn't Leeseo already a child model? She actually looked SO beautiful and charming in that first photo. Something about it just makes her beauty seem so raw even at such a young age. Now they've just made her look like a typical idol. Touching up her nose tip was incredibly unnecessary tbh, it looks downturned now which ages her up a bit. Also, what the hell is that edited pic? Who did that and thought it looked better Anyways, I still think she is a pretty kid. Just a shame that they've managed to erase the points that made her look charming and unique.

I don't think that's what the common hybe nose type is though? Their signature is the ski slope or just the normal straight and high bridged nose. Taehyung does have a slight pollybeak (other idols like Lia with her previous nose too, though she's in JYP), but it technically still falls under their traditional straight bridged nose and the "beak" shape is hardly attention grabbing (imo it even makes his nose look more natural as opposed to let's say, Sakura). The reason why it's commonly called a deformity is because that isn't normally the look that rhinoplasty patients are going for, but it's something that develops over time due to several factors. Lia's nose is now ski sloped too, so I think she may have done some reconstructive work. 

Anyways, pollybeak or not, a lesson I've learned is that what's ugly to us may actually be beautiful for others, and vice versa. The best thing we can really do is to just navigate this world in pursuit of finding our own kind of beauty and not just base it off on what others think is "in".

Are these not edited? Soyeon, especially, to me looks like someone used the face morph feature in the faceapp and tried to reminii it – or just plain old editing that looks unnatural to put it simply. There's something about the texture/color of her face that doesn't match with the rest of the picture.

I honestly don't get people who use surgeons saying idol x's feature is "nearly impossible to recreate" as proof that they're natural. It is common for patients to use a celebrity as a blueprint for what look they're going for, so surgeons are technically not denying or confirming a celebrity's work by saying this (perhaps to avoid getting dragged by fans as well), most of the time they only mean exactly what they say: it's difficult to recreate. I feel like a lot of people forget that plastic surgery works on an EXISTING base already, and we're all born with different features – some more distinct than others. Some works will turn out looking more unique than others because of that pre-existing base, just like how clothing fits differently in different people, especially if the patient did not want to go for a common look/make another person their blueprint in the first place. It's difficult to recreate something if you do not have the proper base to start it with. Then there's also other factors that affect the work over time, leading to it being harder to recreate because by that point, it isn't 100% by work of a surgeon's hand anymore.

I think this particular photographer whitened her and that's what you are seeing because the photo on the top right and bottom left show her actual skin color way better so they were probably taken by a different photographer.

TV Report really didn't overedit anyone and the photos are so pretty. Newsen edited their skin a lot.

On a sidenote, all these photos did was make me notice how my girl Minnie has amazing proportions. No wonder knetz are calling her the unofficial visual of Gidle recently.

I'm mad at whoever gave Soyeon those ill-fitting shoes.

I think you're right about the whitening and boo on that photographer for editing her that way, it just made her look unreal and not in a good way. The ones where her skin matched looked way better. I think her lips/lower third are what throws me off the most? It looks like her mouth is too full/she's finding it difficult to close her mouth in some of these photos. The strong brows paired with the lips are probably the biggest contributors to the whole vibe honestly. Miyeon to me just looks washed out, idk if it's the editing or hair color and makeup or the combination of all. Other than that she doesn't look too off or different from the Miyeon I remember. Minnie really does look the best out of them here, I understand why people would call her the unofficial visual too. 

 

Edit: Speaking of Miyeon looking a bit washed out (at least to me, but ig it's really not that bad, maybe i'm nitpicking idk), I do hope stylists are taking into consideration color tones when deciding a look for an idol? I'm not too knowledgeable about the subject either, but I know there are a bunch of shades that will look good in certain skin undertones versus others that will make you look dull or whatever. I think that's partly why some idols look vibrant in certain hair colors or makeup styles, while some just look dead. Same with the outfits, and of course, how all three would blend together to create one look.

Agreed that SM 100% played a part in how he looks like now, but when it comes to idols who have been around the industry long enough and have achieved recognition like NCT, I'm pretty sure the idols themselves already have a say on what procedures they'd get. Like you said, Haechan and Mark look fine. This may have been Yuta's choice and instead of calling SM out for this one, I think we should be more concerned of how Yuta views himself honestly... I genuinely wish there are people around him who would help him out if he does suffer from anything.
