From what I've read online, forehead reductions are a bit risky since it's an easy way to cause some serious nerve damage so wouldn't lowering your hairline be a safer way to achieve a similar result? 

I don't know if I'm the best person to answer this, but from what I've heard - hair transplants CAN be a substitute for a forehead reduction but they are significantly more expensive, so I guess for a lot of people a forehead reduction might be more feasible even if it is riskier. I hope that helps!

She looks like she may have had some eye corner work as well as fillers to me, but I agree that she looks natural besides that. It’s funny - I’ve always thought she was very beautiful and almost high fashion looking with her strong jaw, high cheekbones, piercing eyes, and her long legs and broader shoulders. In the west, I actually think her stronger,  fierce, more “masculine” kind of beauty is seen as very desirable. I guess the Korean standard favors a more delicate “feminine” look though which is maybe part of why she isn’t as appreciated there as she should be.

Is it just me, or is Astro's Rocky starting to look a little like Yuta?

 

I think the styling is part of it but his nose, jaw, and maybe even eyes look suspicious to me.

He was born in 1999 so waaaaay too young for botox imo. (Not to say he isn't getting it. I think he probably is). As for his eyes, I agree he probably had his creases deepened. It looks like he did his nose to me but I think that's most likely a procedure he had a while ago. I see scarring in this pic from 2019:

I think what stood out to me was honestly the botox (and the slightly uncanny nose). Crazy how different injectables can make someone look. Hopefully, he eases up on them.

Seola was mentioned a few pages ago for possibly having a nose job, but I think some of her other changes may have flown under the radar.

For one, I see fairly high double eyelid creases now which weren't apparent in her predebuts. (Either there was no crease or it was hidden).

The creases she has now also look a little artificially deep to me:

I also see a change in her jaw/chin:

I know she's lost a lot of weight during her active years but I think she's likely also had a jaw shave. Her jaw is very steep now, and though there is a slight mandible angle, it is very weak and close to her ear:

I think she probably either gets chin fillers or has a chin implant too. Her chin looks extremely pointy to me:

I don't think a dental procedure was brought up at least recently? For the side view do you mean from predebut or from now? For predebut this is the best I could find (her hair is covering most of her face unfortunately and her mouth seems slightly open

Interestingly enough, she seems to have her mouth open pretty much throughout Janus MV (where these pics are coming from). In my experience, this points mouth breathing, which typically comes from some sort of dental issue. I also found a post on this thread from a 2017 mentioning she fixed her teeth.

I feel like I'm somewhere in between? Sometimes I find him very attractive and other times something just throws me off. I think part of it is that his lower face is quite feminine and looks a little out of place on his body:

From some angles, he looks almost fish-like to me (no offense meant):

I think this is because his jaw is a little weak for his face and his super full lips only emphasize that. Then there's his nose that has always just seemed off to me. I honestly have no idea why he messed with it. Probably to get a higher bridge, but his before nose was perfectly fine and in my opinion, fit his face better:

 He honestly hasn't had that much done compared to a lot of other people in the industry (nose job and fillers/botox?) but I think that was enough to throw the balance of his face off from some angles, not to say he doesn't have good angles, I think he does ( though in my opinion he looked better than he does now a few years ago before he got really in to the injectables):

Koreans really seem to like his visuals and they seem to be very aligned to the Korean standard. I do think he's an interesting case though that shows that sometimes checking boxes doesn't equal over all facial compatibility. Whether or not he looks a little uncanny at times, I think he's a perfectly decent actor and his career really seems to be taking off right now so I definitely wish him the best.

First, I'll start off with Nayeon.

Predebut:

 

Still predebut but 16 era: Right off the bat, we can tell that she has had a rhinoplasty (a very good one imo) and a blepharoplasty and possibly a double-eyelid surgery which I am not too sure on.

I am also guessing that she had a minor jaw shave or masseter muscle botox(?) Possibly some buccle fat removal too. And she deffo went for a lot of cheek filler too.

 

2020- now:

Lip filler, possibly another rhinoplasty or just nose tip filler. She also looks to have had aegyo-sal surgery.

 

Her first surgery was perfect. She should have left her face alone after that. The first rhinoplasty and her blepharoplasty were arguably one of the best imo.

 

Next, Jeungyeon:

I've seen you mention a "minor jaw shave" a couple of times and I just wanted to say that in my opinion, there isn't really such a thing. In a jaw shave, they actually remove pieces of the jaw and chin. They literally take out chunks of bone. It is a MAJOR surgical procedure that is extremely invasive and tends to have pretty drastic results. If an idol's jaw seems slightly slimmer from the front but there aren't any obvious changes from the side (the mandible angle is in the same place and the jaw bone isn't more steeply inclined) they most likely haven't had a jaw shave imo. The frontal changes in a jaw shave are achieved by taking away sections of the lower jaw which is usually pretty clearly visible from the side. A chin shave on the other hand only removes bone from the chin and shouldn't cause any major changes in profile. If you're seeing what looks like "a minor jaw shave" the changes are probably from something less invasive like buccal fat removal, jaw botox, and or chin implant/filler. I hope that helps!

Also - I'm pretty sure Jeongyeon has had an epicanthoplasty, probably predebut. I posted about it a while back. TWICE have also been discussed pretty extensively here, especially Tzuyu, Chaeyoung, Jihyo, and Jeongyeon a few pages back.

I was pretty convinced myself that Rocky had shaved his jaw for a while there (after seeing these new pics) but now, I'm not so sure. After going through some earlier pictures, it looks like his mandible angle is visible sometimes and not others (sometimes it's hidden by skin). Yes, there's a visible mandible angle in one of these pics and not in the other:

But in this pic which is only about two months old (meaning it is extremely unlikely he got a jaw shave between then and now) I see a mandible angle and it looks pretty much unchanged from the one he had in the first picture.

I also see his mandible angle in some other recent pics:

Comparing his older pics where his mandible angle isn't visible to a new one where it isn't visible I don't really see much of a change:

His jawline does look slightly weaker than before to me but I don't think the actual bone has changed. Maybe he used botox to weaken the masseter muscles though I don't really see why there was any need for that. I'm pretty sure there's other stuff going on too besides the jaw. The biggest thing that stands out to me is how aged and almost haggard he looks in some recent pics and sometimes even a little uncanny:

I think it's probably from a combination of the styling (specifically the colored lenses in the pic above), eye work (which I don't think is recent), and nose work. I think he's likely a little too into the injectables as well. In my opinion these changes really weren't for the best but I hope that he'll look more like his old self again if he calms down with the injectables. Fingers crossed.

Her jaw's been talked about here before. I think it's pretty clear she did it at some point predebut, though I have no idea why.

These are both predebut pics but I see a pretty clear change in her jaw from one to the other.

Her jaw was probably shaved before that picture (the one with the crocodile hat) was taken. I've seen people mention buccal fat removal as a possibility for her and I think that would explain why her face has a "sharper" look nowadays.

In my opinion, they are definitely the most obviously worked on members in the group. (Not that that's a bad thing, but in both of their cases I just find it very distracting).

I don't, but I don't see any major structural changes in Sunghoon's and Heeseung's noses. For Sunoo, I'm less sure, but I'm still leaning towards this being his initial nose job aging rather than a second nose job. He's only 17 and trained for just 10 months so his nose job is very recent. I find it unlikely that he would get a second one when the first one wasn't even a year old. 

The difference also isn't massive, his nose just looks more pinched which could easily be from a nose job settling or "aging:"

Based on the predebuts I could find, my guesses are:

Jinjin: natural? (I'm a little on the fence for whether or not he did something slight to his nose as I see what could be alarplasty scars in some pics but they're super faint and unclear so I'm leaning not).

MJ: nose job

Eunwoo: fillers - otherwise natural (no invasive procedures)

Moonbin: natural

Rocky: double eyelids deepened, epicanthoplasty, nose job (maybe 2), masseter botox, fillers/botox

Sanha: nose job, fillers

But yes, he's a nice actor and he really is working hard you know, there are three TV Shows on Netflix where he's the lead, so props to him! I still need to check his new drama where he's a dancer (the plot looks very interesting).

It's interesting you bring up Nam Joohyuk because his jaw is quite suspicious in my opinion. It's pretty much common knowledge that he had his teeth fixed and I think he maybe even had dental surgery to properly align his jaw (it was receding before).

The weird thing though is unlike Song Kang, (who has a high but visible mandible angle) his jaw goes pretty much straight to his ear. I couldn't find much of a mandible angle showing in any of his pics.

This makes me think he may have had a jaw shave in addition to dental work which would probably explain some perceived uncanniness. There isn't a drastic change I can see from the front (besides the overbite correction):

Once again, I don't see a drastic change, (though the pic is very low resolution so it's hard to tell) but I find it unlikely that the jaw he has now would be naturally occurring.

I was watching a webdrama and was shocked to see obviously "altered," for lack of a better word, the main three actresses looked:

I couldn't find any predebuts, but I see noticeable signs of certain procedures on their faces.

Two of them look like they may have had jaw shaves to me:

The second girl also seems to have had a nose job (there's even visible scarring):

The first girl's eyes are majorly suspicious to me too:

Her nose seems suspicious as well and I think I see alarplasty scars.

She's very pretty, of course, but her over all aesthetic is just so jarringly doll like to me:

The third girl has strong bone structure which is honestly very refreshing imo:

However, her nose and maybe eyes and lips as well seem suspicious to me.

It's likely there's other stuff I'm not catching because I don't have the predebuts to reference.

All three of them are beautiful, but I find their possible procedures really distracting. It's just so obvious to me that they've all had work done and I can't help wondering: do Koreans not notice or do they just not care?

Yeah I'm pretty sure she had an alarplasty too. I noticed the scars a little while ago because I've developed an unfortunate habit of looking up idols nosing in search of scars lol.

Here are some close up so you guys can see more clearly (they're the shiny/red lines beneath her nostrils):

The uneven nostrils, which is very clear here,

 

make me think she had some tip work done too in addition to an alarplasty.

To be fair, I think her nose work dates way back. I already see alarplasty scars in the pic on the left from when she was a trainee.  

Here, however, I do see a slightly wider nose on the left than the one she has today (on the right.)

I think alarplasties are more common than a lot of us, myself included, realize. I think a lot of idols have had them, including ones who's noses look very similar to before. (The change from a conservative alarplasty can be VERY subtle). While looking for pictures of Jisoo, I found a shot of Lovelyz Jisoo. Being me, I immediately looked up her nose and saw what looks like alarplasty scars there as well. 

SF9's Hwiyoung is another idol who's nose I thought was natural, but he, like both Jisoos, seems to have alarplasty scars:

We talked about WJSN's Bona a while back and she's another example of an idol without obvious nose work but with scars that seem to point to a subtle alarplasty.

I noticed recently a lot of people online saying that Aespa's Karina and WJSN's Yeoreum look alike, and after seeing some pictures comparing them, I definitely do see a resemblance. 

Karina's possible procedures have been discussed pretty extensively here and I think it's safe to say she's had a fair amount of work done. Yeoreum, on the other hand, has only been mentioned a couple times here and she seems to have been put down as natural (I think I did this too and it was probably due to a severe lack of predebut pictures.) However, given the features a lot of Karina's features don't seem to have occurred naturally, I'm starting to suspect that Yeoreum also may have had some stuff done after looking at more of her pics.

I could only find one predebut of Yeoreum from before she joined the company: 

In it, she is very small so I can't really use it to compare.

I did find some older photos of her from when she was a trainee where her eyes look a little uneven (which isn't the case nowadays):

Her creases also look deeper. It also looks like she may have had no crease or a hidden crease on her left where now there's a clearly visible one that is identical to the crease on her right eye:

She has very deep and perfect creases nowadays:

I don't have the predebut pictures to make a clear judgement but I also suspect she may have had a jaw shave (probably before the pics I used for her eyes were taken):

Her jaw is similar to Karina's (who most likely had a jaw shave) in my opinion, but it's slightly less narrow-looking from the front.

These pics makes me think she may have had an epicanthoplasty as well:

Her nose seems natural as far as I can tell and I actually really appreciate that she kept this feature even if it doesn't align with Korean standards (a little wider and flatter than preferred). I think her nose only adds to her appeal, and makes her beauty more unique and memorable.

Oh I was saying I'm not sure about her jaw, but if she did it, it was before any of the like two predebut pics I could find. There's really no way to know for sure and she has the kind of jaw that could go either way (be naturally occurring or the result of a jaw shave). I think a jaw shave is possible for her just because she does have a steep jaw that's narrow and pointed from the front with a high mandible angle (it's definitely there tho). This is often the outcome of a jaw shave but definitely doesn't have to be, and in Yeoreum's case it may not be, though without proper predebuts it's impossible to really say.

In the spoiler you can see the effects of and the fresh scarring from a newly done alarplasty (keep in mind that the scars we see on idols are most likely a lot older than these and therefore more faded and less noticeable):

Now, we usually don't get to see straight up an idol's nose like this (which is probably for the best tbh), but luckily alarplasty scars are still visible from the front as long as the idol's head isn't tilted too far down and forward. The scars are probably not going to be apparent in all photos because it seems stylists typically try to cover them with makeup, but there are plenty of pics out there where scars are visible:

I'm going to use is the lovely Seulgi for my example.

She has alarplasty scars in both her nostrils. Sometimes, they are harder to make out then others, but here are some pictures where they are visible:

I don't see a jaw shave either between the second picture you have and the third. I'm saying that if she had a jaw shave, and I have no idea if she did or not, it's just a possibility, then it was BEFORE the second picture was taken. The second picture is from her late trainee days and I'm saying if she had a jaw shave, it was in her early trainee days, which we unfortunately don't have pics from. These have been my thoughts his whole time, but I think the way I said it in my early posts must have been unclear. I hope this helps to clear up any confusion as to what I meant!

I don’t know if it’s his choice entirely or if he’s doing it under FNC’s recommendations, but if it’s FNC, they really need to stop. They handled the rest of SF9 well when it comes to procedures, but Rowoon DOES NOT need anymore work. He was perfect the way he was and by messing with him more FNC is only jeopardizing his appearance as well as his career, SF9’s career, and most importantly, his long term health.

An alarplasty only touches the alars which are basically the two sides of the nose. It brings the alars “in” or closer together to make the nose appear overall narrower from the front. An alarplasty doesn’t touch the tip or the bridge, and as far as I know, it doesn’t remove any cartilage. Basically, someone can have an alarplasty as well as a more standard rhinoplasty which actually whittles down the nose. I hope that helps! If you’re interested in seeing what alarplasty scars look like I recommend checking out my post about them on the previous page. (They’re basically red or slightly shiny lines on the bottom rim of the nostril.)

I remember seeing some posts about BTS and alarplasty scars a while back, and I just today stumbled across a picture that makes me think Jimin at least did have an alarplasty.

I hope this is helpful to anyone who was wondering about that!
