On the topic of alarplasties, I think bts Jimin has had one

I didn't find anything for Jungkook, so maybe he didn't have one, or maybe he did idk

I knew alarplasties were common, not this common tho, and I wasn't really expecting Jin and V to have had an alarplasty, but then again, the results are so subtle sometimes that without the scars as evidence, no one would have suspected anything

I dont see any scars on v and jin, can you circle for me @EmptyWaterBottle? I also cant really see what i am seeing is scar or not with jimin, so if you are not busy, i i would love to see where is scar exactly?

what is an alarplasty and how is it different rhinoplasty? i’m pretty sure that taehyung has had a rhinoplasty and a fking good one as well! jimin defo did sth to his nose too to make it more button like. jungkook i think has a pretty obvious implant which u can see the shape of in every side profile of his. namjoon apparently had nose surgery due to breathing problems and it’s common for idols to fix their nose in the same surgery i’ve noticed. i think hobi’s nose is a mystery to everyone and i’m not sure about the other members. 

what do the scars look like btw coz i think i see some scars but i’m not sure if those are actually scars or just marks since i’m not sure where exactly to look.

SO TRUE!! i’m honestly gutted about what’s happening to rowoon’s face. i think beforehand he only had his nose done predebut, but recently idek what’s going on... on kingdom, he looked familiar but slightly different, like just something kinda uncanny abt his face that tells me it’s not the same face as before but i couldn’t pinpoint on what it is. 

but yes, a lot of the times, it’s the really good looking idols who fall into the ps spiral. rowoon, hyunjin, lisa, stayc yoon, joshua, karina...

An alarplasty only touches the alars which are basically the two sides of the nose. It brings the alars “in” or closer together to make the nose appear overall narrower from the front. An alarplasty doesn’t touch the tip or the bridge, and as far as I know, it doesn’t remove any cartilage. Basically, someone can have an alarplasty as well as a more standard rhinoplasty which actually whittles down the nose. I hope that helps! If you’re interested in seeing what alarplasty scars look like I recommend checking out my post about them on the previous page. (They’re basically red or slightly shiny lines on the bottom rim of the nostril.)

He does have a scar. I know because I spent everyday analysis his gorgeous face 

I didn't realize until this photo tho, zoom up on his nostrils.

Jimin definitely had one on the right side in the picture. Idk about everyone else need to see clearer pictures. But after spending a good 10 minutes staring at their noses, i do notice they all have same nostrils LOL

I second this. But since Taehyung's was already answered, I want to see the scars on Jin because it isn't very visible on those pictures

I don't know how to circle or crop, but if you look by the nostrils, it's the shiny line by each nostril

As for Taehyung, you can see by the nostrils where there is a sort of 'dip', his scars are pretty faint, to the point where now I'm unsure whether he has or not

I'm trying to explain it as best as I can, but it's really difficult since I don't know how to do much on this website

taehyung have quite amount of unedited photos of him on the internet so it's very easy to spot one. 

I think jimin has a very visible scar on his right nostril(i wish i can show u guys but im on phone now and idk how to upload photo on mobile, but u can see on his airport photos from 191125.

 

As for jin, can someone post a very good quality of unedited/no make up photos of him or any other members.

hmm doesn't look like there's any difference between pre and post debut photo( for the nostrils at least) but the photo u provided does look like he has a scar around the bottom rim of his right nose in the first two pictures (i practiced for about a year in surgical ward before so i know a scar when i see one) but it could be bc of the lighting.

I still can't see for Jin rip, maybe it's too faded, that shiny part looks like natural oil of nose to me (yes that is a thing) rather than any ps, even in other pics multiple people shared rip (thank you btw!! You all are very helpful )

So only at one side? Wouldn't it be imbalanced, why exactly? Did he pick his nose and widened his nostrils accidentally? (Yes this is a thing) I can't think of any other reason o.o

Nah, pretty sure he did on both sides if he ever had one but i can see faint scar on his side of the right nose but nothing on the left side. Idk if it's a alarplasty scar or just some random marks but yeah that's what i saw on hia nose. he probably had different approach of the surgery(i heard making incision to the side of nose in alarplasty leaves a permenant visible scar so many opt for the base of the nostril instead)

Btw not ppl clowning me for saying i can recognize a scar lmao tbh it's so hard to see a very well healed scar on a photo especially one w heavy editing and makeups. And even if i see one, i cant say for sure it's from a cosmetic procedure(im not a plastic surgeon and i rarely saw people w facial scar from plastic surgery irl so nothing i said here actually proves a point tbh)

To me Jin, Jimin, Suga, and V, noses look similar to predebut, and I'm not sure about the scars. Still not convinced. 

Namjoon officially had surgery for deviated septum in 2018, J-hope seems botched, and Jungkook's nose looks very different.

I think V and jin have some minor nosejobs and are very well done. Im not too sure about jimin, his nose kinda changed but dunno if it's a result of his weight loss.

Weight loss doesn't change a person's nose. It changes the way the rest of the face looks compared to a nose, but not their nose.

I think he had a pretty good and subtle nose job. His tip is way bulbous and really suits his features.

here are some of her side pictures I found.

overall I feel like if she did do jaw surgery, it would have been extremely minor, maybe some shaping, and shaving no more than a milimeter (maybe even half a milimeter) at any area.

the biggest change for mina I would say is her chin, by installing a chin implant (I would guess they use implant not filler because filler moves within a few years and loses its shape, it can flatten, move downwards) by installing a chin implant your face instantly looks longer and more elongated.  

one more thing that people do is a "buccal fat removal" where they remove some (or all)  of their buccal fat in the cheeks, this can make your side profile look slimmer, I don't really know how to spot that unless it's super obvious (i.e. they had a lot of buccal fat before and suddenly removed 90% of it) and how much the buccal fat protrudes from the face can also depend on your bone structure...

Now, we usually don't get to see straight up an idol's nose like this (which is probably for the best tbh), but luckily alarplasty scars are still visible from the front as long as the idol's head isn't tilted too far down and forward. The scars are probably not going to be apparent in all photos because it seems stylists typically try to cover them with makeup, but there are plenty of pics out there where scars are visible:

I'm going to use is the lovely Seulgi for my example.

She has alarplasty scars in both her nostrils. Sometimes, they are harder to make out then others, but here are some pictures where they are visible:

I think it's just a bad angle & lighting, or filters, sometimes the harsh stage lights, cameras flatten your face, which is why everyone gets implants/fillers, they look better on camera.
