Oh wow that's Jieun?? I didn't recognize her... her nose really changed her general appearance (then again I also haven't kept up with her since 2011 lol)

Also I'm not sure if Yaongyi, the artist of True Beauty (popular webtoon) has been discussed here. She confirmed that she got her eyelids done around ten years ago because she modeled for an online shopping mall and does fillers/general upkeep nowadays. I think she's done her nose and had a jaw shave too though.

From what I see don't notice. They seriously think some absurd features as natural. It is always surprising to me, considering its a very popular country for PS, they more often than not, have no idea and think every change as weight or hair cut (or maybe it's denial who knows) 

Especially for actresses and actors, they are so stubborn about them being naturally gorgeous.

For some reason I always thought every aspect of celebrities was fake. Maybe I am being nihilistic. But I mostly assume all celebrities regardless of gender and nationality having had some sort of cosmetic procedure.

Tbh, depends, some never touch their face because their face is what gives them personality, this is especially applicable for western celebs, where similar features would make you blend in and you would want uniqueness instead, which means you accept your imperfections. But after certain age celebs tend to get ps, due to age concerns tbh, which in my humble opinion, better to not touch at all

let’s talk about itzy (my ults)!! it’s become more obvious to me that itzy yuna’s nose looks different lately. she used to have such a distinct and pretty nose, large and really angular nostrils but super cute looking imo. but recently her nose suddenly looks much thinner and less bulbous.

before:

now:

 

the width of the nostrils have definitely been reduced and they also seemed to have shaved the overhanging tip. must have happened between wannabe and not shy era.

i know that most itzy members have had subtle predebut procedures like yeji’s nose job to make her tip smaller and bridge longer/straighter as well as chin fillers/(v line?) jaw surgery. lia’s had fillers and possible nose job as well etc. but this just makes me sad coz even tho the procedure was done well and not botched, yuna’s nose was already super cute before and one of her defining features for me, and i don’t think this nose suits her too well because she has large features in general.

all the members recently got lip fillers as well which just ..... i really hate lip fillers on anyone ;—; i wish the kpop industry would stop the ps addiction and leave idols’ faces alone when they’re all already so stunning!

Yeji did a V-line surgery? Not sure her face shape didn't seem to have changed that much. Lia had eye Job as well.

After Debut

I think SuA has had an epicanthoplasty, her tear ducts are very exposed and her inner eye corners are more rounded, as well as a lateral canthoplasty, as her outer corners are also more rounded and they are a bit lower. I think she may have had a blepharoplasty at some point, too

SuA also seems to have had a nose tip reduction. She has probably had a chin implant as her chin is quite pointed, and is rounder than in her predebut photo

Oh and her eyebrows changed, but thats not a surgery

In summary: Epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, blepharoplasty, nose tip reduction, chin implant

It depends on their image. I have seen many conventionally less attractive (for the lack of better words) stars actually not indulge in PS and all while it is mostly the ones who are regardless atleast little bit attractive conventionally who do the more drastic changes.

Yeah, the change in her nostrils is definitely noticeable. While her nose does look good now, like the surgeon did a good job, her nose before fit her face so well and was really pretty

I'm interested to hear why you think Yeji has had a v-line surgery, tho, I've not heard anyone think that until now

yeji’s v line surgery i was actually a random throw sorry, to be honest i think it is more likely to be chin fillers or something. i’m not familiar with jaw surgeries so that’s why i just said v line so please correct me if i’m wrong. i just think that her jaw/chin area looks quite different from predebut times. it’s hard to tell because this area of the face does change according to weight and she is very skinny at the moment so it might be that.

good point on Western celebs preferring uniqueness - kinda plays into the whole individuality vs fitting in thing that's been discussed a lot. Like Anne Hathaway has a big mouth, and Jennifer Lawrence has small-ish eyes and Keira Knightley has a strong jaw - I feel like in Korea they would have made them all get surgery, although idk if you can "fix" a large mouth. But JLaw would have done her eyes and Keira gotten a jaw shave most likely.

Exactly, and honestly they are all considered pretty, if they were raised in Korean standards, it's really likely they would try to kill that uniqueness, because that's what Korea beauty standards are, very specific features, rest are considered ugly or undesirable. You can see comments like "she is so pretty but..." in almost every non standard Korean celeb article. Which is where it really differs from Western culture of standing out.

well tbh there are standards even in the west...Lawrence got her eyes and nose done for example to fit in! So it's not so clean cut you know, individuality vs fitting in.

It all depends on how attractive you (the actresses) are. If they are "Hollywood attractive" it's all good. And there's certain standards they have to check as an actress. For westerns celebrities in general it's big cat-eyes, sharp little nose (a bigger nose it's acceptable if it fits the face like Barbara Streisand), big lips (this is recent) and an attractive smile. 
Even in their perceived individuality they're actually still conforming in the West.
