Regarding Giselle, I agree with her being the odd one out. She is actually my fave, but in the beginning I was confused. I don't know how to say this without sounding like a 'hater' or anti, but she looks so...normal? Like she could be in my class at uni and I wouldn't look at her much. Not in a bad way, she just reads as average, which is particularly jarring when next to Karina and her nonexistent jaw, Winter with her hella fake nose, and Ningning with her filler/botox face (think it's calmed down now tho thank god). It feels like SM forced the others into the PS factory while they looked at Giselle and were like "eh". I know she's not totally natural, but she sure looks it in that group.

I like looking at Giselle’s face compared to the other members lol.

she looked really different here. nonetheless, I hope she's happy and healthy♡

Idk how bad her nose was broken but I feel they kinda did a rhinoplasty while fixing her nose (kinda like how with Minzy when she has some nose issue but the doctors also decided to do rhinoplasty).

Not a fan since it looks like the typical kpop PS nose. I liked her hooked nose.

Her nose before was so pretty and suited her so well. But I hope she feels pretty and happy with it!

@ bold that's such an hypocrite thing to say when y'all are bashing her new face every 2min (see your first sentence). Sorry but I'm tired of seeing posts like "she was way prettier before" "omg what happened to her face" "what did wendy do???" "can't she go back to her old visuals?". We got it omg but she can't do anything about it, she must already feel sh*tty after her accident, I don't think she needs people bashing her visuals 24/7

i think they shaved till l&r promos lol, you could see their razor burns etc, i think it depends on how much they wear shorts?? they wore alot in L&R promos so waxing was easier, from the sound of it, they didnt wax much at all lol

Haseuls nose filler/nosework is beautiful. She and DK could be siblings. Loona is a seriously pretty group and imo doesn't look like anyone else much but their makeup can be spotty so they can sometimes look a bit severe and that severity goes away when styled by other creative teams. Yves and Vivi and pretty sure Jinsoul play with fillers too much for their ages. Vivi cooled it a little this last comeback and killed it. She looks best with her face slim like this.

i think it depends on how much they are gonna show their legs like i said lol, like it if its pants with holes they will wear like one day, they just shave inside the hole areas (im sure everyone who shaves got what i mean) but if they are wearing shorts like daily, i think waxing would be easier (would look better on MVs etc too)

That is really harsh lighting so I'd need to see more non selfies and in motion but yeah I do think she played with something,  noticed the top lip too I wonder if that's recent or not because the photoshoot and most recent appearances she looks more or less normal.

yeah it captured my attention more than her lips, which i think it looks a bit larger due to amazingly shiny lipstick rather than fillers lol

Harsh direct studio light especially a yellow-green light will never make your features look good. I'd need to see more shots and non-selfies but even I paused when I saw that on Twitter. They already hide her full lip shape half the time makeup wise as if they hate it would be odd for her top lip to get so full too.

Do i see a smoother nose bridge in these photos or am i just sleep deprived?

In comparison to:

I'm a bit suspicious of the second photo (one with the smooth bridge) because it's from a photoshoot and very likely edited. In the first picture, you can both see that the bridge has been straighten while the tip still points down.  could this be because of nose fillers?

If i'm being honest i never thought much about his visuals (i've mentioned that a couple of times) but him having a bumpy nose really solidifies his position as the best male visual for me. Just shows that perfect individual features are not as important as overall facial compatibility.  I find it ironic that other male visuals undergo multiple surgeries to be perfect and cha eunwoo has the title while being "imperfect". I know natural beauty is kinda over rated at this point but certain faces are too randomly generated to be artificial.

This is not shade at the girls - they likely have no choice - but I'e always hated SM's style of surgery and with this group they really went in. If you showed me STAYC and Aespa and asked me which one looks like RV's successor, I'd say STAYC. Everything from Aespa's surgeries to their clothes looks cheap, which makes me wonder how much money SM actually has.

I know I shouldn't be laughing but the part I highlighted is absolutely hilarious LMAOOOO - SM really went ham with the first 3 and with Giselle they were like "shit we ran out of money after overdoing the other 3". 

Jokes aside, I hope I'm not coming off as overly mean to aespa; I'm quite liking them actually, but it's true that there's a contrast between them and other SM girl groups even at their debuts. 

Also, in what way does StayC feel like SM to you? I don't quite see it other than with Yoon and maybe Isa.

I see some people with theories that Aespa is going to add more members. Three girls to be exact that would be the official visual, the main dancer and another vocalist. Maybe this shows that people are not very satisfied with the current members of Aespa.

They are kinda modelled on BP and Itzy who also have deficient vocalists. Here they really don't have deficient vocals but there is something missing. I wish groups could debut a Christina Aguilera type vocalist but visuals have now become important more so for female idols.

I pretty sure his jaw is natural. I think it's just he, like Jin, has a slightly weaker jaw bone with softer flesh so his mandible angle often gets hidden, but it's definitely there:

I‘m actually confident SM will not dare to mess up most of ÆSPA post debut. I don‘t see them touching an inch of Karina‘s face a least, she‘s their new golden child. Giselle looks pretty and normal (?). Normal as in not looking like an avatar. She has an earthy and simple beauty, and I hope that is enough for her and that she can actually shine for her talents. And that SM leaves her looking human-like.

I’ve tried so hard to stan them, watched their FCs, their individual content... I too am seriously underwhelmed by their talents. Winter has a nice voice, but the most resting face whilst performing I’ve ever seen in my life, she truly is Irene’s successor. Giselle is no good rapper as of now, so lets see how she improves, if she does at all And, to be brutally honest, I don‘t even see it with Karina, she‘s lead dancer level at best (plenty of room to improve, but I‘d expect more from a 4 year long training period), doesn’t have much of a stage presence either (yes, many people say she does, but a casual smirk on an otherwise bored looking countenance won‘t save her from not dropping hard to the chorus she herself was in charge of centering). The only thing she has going on for her are her surreal looks and body and a sweet personality (more than enough in SK) but, ya know, its SM, so I’d expect a bit of talent added to the mix... what the heck happened to the rookies in charge of dancing? Where they also threatened by the looming hand of Dr. Kim? 
 

Ningning is the only member I find interesting to watch onstage, and she‘s not even the MD, and Chinese on top of that. The rest are just so... bland? I’m just not the type to force myself into liking mediocrity just because “stan the gurls OMG, such queens even though they’ve shown nothing worthy of praise, step on my face, goddess“. I won‘t stan anyone just because they‘re hot, SM, hear me out. I refuse. 
 

Also want to add this has to be the most entertaining thread I‘ve ever encountered on Onehallyu.
