From what I see, his mandibular angle did seem to be missing in the recent videos as well (His jaw was still squarish in Kick it stages)

I don't think korean surgeons will suggest psychotherapy to their customers given they receive $$$$ from them. Jokes apart- all these artistes receive pressure from their companies to maintain their looks and most succumb to it. Kinda sad really because body dysmorphia is a real issue and all these incidents do add up. All these trainees leave home young and train hard crazily to achieve success and fame

DPR Ian/Christian Yu/Barom Yu/C-Clown's Rome looks very different indeed! I think C-Clown disbanded 5 years ago so of course he has aged but this change is so drastic. That's what he used to look like:

She‘s natural. I actually don‘t get why people think she‘s not? Like, her features are far from being the cookie-cutter ski-slope nose and sharp-arse V-line. Her nose would actually be considered a bit too prominent and bulbous, her mouth is HUGE, as well as those unrealistically big eyes and she has a pretty strong bone structure. Doesn‘t look like your ideal K-Visual from most angles, yet her features, when combined, work wonderfully well (everything about them is prominent and strong, so nothing looks out of place). She looks super pretty, but it is a human, irregularly spaced features pretty. It‘s kind of refreshing.

wow all the changes have been so subtle and not overdone. 

tbh the only reason why i started to doubt yunas visuals was because of karina. the big eyes, small face, v shape jaw are all achievable. but yuna has been consistent with her looks for years now. i’ve only started learning about plastic surgery so i dont know a lot lol.

I agree with Yuna being pretty much natural (perhaps a syringe of something somewhere but no scalpel). I think her eyes made me suspicious at first as they just are quite large, but hey, that happens in any population. She really is a great example of how proportions matter the most; like Nctyleggo said all her features are massive - her eyes are slightly doe/bug-like, her mouth is big (kinda like Julia Roberts) and her nose is not super petite. But her proportions are what make it all work in harmony and now she's basically the visual, right? She just looks very bright and expressive.

 

 

Karina's jaw is sooo severe, it makes me wonder how that will age. Are there any examples of jaw shaves on older women? I'm just waiting for Yoona to get into her 40s or so to see how gravity will affect that (she's the oldest idol I know with such a jaw). Some of these women have truly no jaw left that I wonder how they chew...

Srsly I wonder why Rosè’s jaw shave isn’t as talked about as Wendy’s. It did absolutely nought for her visuals. The oblong shape and mask effect many people pinpoint in pictures is due to that. Before, she had a shorter, less protruding chin and stronger jaw to balance out the length of her face. Eff the V-line beauty standard, for fruit’s sake, it’s horrid!

Hmmm the pictures you're using arent showing much imo, in the boombayah gif she's singing (or lipsyncing) so obviously her jaw will show up more compared to the pics where her jaw isnt moving i mean its natural

as you can see in those gifs she still has her squarish jaw when singing and those are from 2020

I stopped following BP a while ago, so I only noticed how softened her face shape looked whith the KTL comeback. I still think she has some work done on mid-lower face? Maybe it was the chin work and bichectomy alone that narrowed down her face

....God... I never noticed till now you may be right. I remember a while back (2017ish) she had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction and her bra showed and she was clearly a smaller cup, but now they're quite prominent... I wonder when that happened it totally went over my head (I guess ofc it could be padding but her recent video with Sua of DC makes me think it's probably not)

She is probably using botox in her masseter muscles than jaw shave but can't rule that shaving out.

Funny I was showing pictures of Itzy to my irl acquitances who have zero idea about kpop apart from it being a hub of plastic surgeries-they thought it was Ryujin and Yuna with the most surgeries probably because they looked More Caucasian in comparison.

Yeah I don't really follow him either (I only listen to his music and watch his mv's). I know a couple years ago everyone seemed to be talking about him because of how hot he was and then his mv was in my recommended and I decided to check it out and it caught me off guard

Yeah he changed so much from his idol days but whatever he did, he looked good. He was so hot a couple years ago after his idol days (and before whatever he recently did)

she did get her boobs done. i mean she still could be wearing padded bra's on top of it but those are big boobs. You can't fully get that from just padded/push up bras. That totally went over my head too. idk either when she did it but I think she was able to do it because no one pays attention to clc (sadly). I feel like if it was a group or person thats under constant attention everyone would of immediately noticed and talked about it but because clc doesn't get constant attention she was able to do it and have barely anyone notice (which is also like good for her)

What everybody’s been saying about my body surgery post i feel that way too. I think actual surgeries aren't that common and people just wear padded hips/bras and people really only get carboxy shots and the occasional boob job (and maybe even liposuction but I'm not sure about that one since most idols just have really bad diets/starve to get a slim figure). But i was also wondering do you guys think that'll change? I know many years ago on this thread people were talking about lip fillers and how they dread the day that trend comes to sk and here we are. Having small lips was such a prominent beauty ideal for a long time in sk but eventually that ended up changing too and now sk wants plump lips. Like nctyleggo said i think a slim figure (with slight hips and thin waist) is what is sought after and I can't see most idols trying to get a very slim thick (very instagram look) either but who knows do y'all think that trend will eventually make its way to sk too

I'm pretty sure Korean surgeon are bound by the same or at least similar basic rules the rest of the world's surgeons are. 
Besides that, there are surgeon who accepts money to do whatever the client wants as you said. I mean, look at Bom. 

I've seen a video from GracyGrace and she was talking about surgery and she said most trainees want the surgeries bc they want to be pretty and the company and society makes them believe appearances are everything they need to succeed which is false but yeah whatever. It's like they are brainwashed or maybe i should say naive.

They‘re actually teens, hence them being a bit too rash and inarticulate.

 

Lorry has herself talked extensively about her own plastic surgery, so I don’t get why she‘s being “acused“ of it. She also states that the information she shares is her opinion only, and she provides visual fucking evidence for the procedures she thinks the celebs she analyses have had done. Like, don‘t start worrying about foreigners thinking most idols are made beauties. Most of them are, it is a darned reality, and it is extremely harmful to deny its being so. Lifting the veil will actually help that one Korean teen girl that is extremely insecure and worries about why her jaw isn‘t naturally sharp, her eyes round and big with deep creases, her nosebridge of an extremely unlikely height to her skull shape. It will help her see that she doesn‘t have to look like that, that she isn‘t supposed to, because most people who look like that started off looking like her in the first place. This really makes me so sad.

PD: And, at this point, the baby fat thing... sigh. I had an ED myself when I was 14, I lost 18 kilograms and when you lose so much fat that it takes away from your face volume, your entire face becomes haggard. Unless you are obese to start with, you arent going to go from sagging cheeks to V-line just by losing weight. Your nose might become a more prominent feature on your face due to the rest of it being shrunk, but it doesn’t mean you are going to get a higher bridge, less flared nostrils and a sharper tip. Your eyes don’t magically change shape. Your jawline may get more defined, thus resulting in it being more apparent, not narrower. Like, bitch, c‘mon.

PS in Korea has extremely high rates among commoners. That rate gets multiplied among celebrities and particularly idols and actors who basically thrive off their looks. People who‘ve worked in it and idols themselves have said that everyone does it. Literally everyone. Heck, they even get pressured into undergoing invasive procedures when they are trainees. An untouched face (not counting botox and skin treatments) is extremely rare. It does happen, yes, but as an exception that proves a rule.

I am seriously worried tbh. What are the parents doing? I won't let my kid to end up like Chungha or Yuta even if it involves a lot of money and fame as end rewards. Because are these people even mentally healthy right now? 

TBH, most trainees gain attention because of their looks so I see why there would be such a rush in maintaining their looks. But cases like Bom Chungha or even Yuta are way too far off. Disheartening.

Okay guys, so today I learnt something new.

A jaw shave doesn’t necessarily involve getting rid of a naturally angular shape. It may sometimes consist of its being softened and reduced in size.

They actually suit her, even if the implants are on the bigger side. She has a strong frame and tends to fleshiness and has that strong voluptuousness reeking off of her. I honestly could have believed it had I been told she’s that glamourous naturally.
